- The 1955 Red Man Baseball Cards was advertised as featuring the "the 25 best players in each league, plus the World Series Managers.", however, Mickey Mantle was not included.
- Cards with the tabs still attached are valued more highly because they were often damaged when the product was opened.
- By collecting and sending 50 tabs to Red Man the holder could receive a Major League cap of choice. Cards were numbered (by league) on the front of the card and on the tab.
