- Counterfeit cards of #30 Sergei Fedorov, #50 Jaromir Jagr, and #100 Jeremy Roenick were known to be in circulation. They could be identified by the appearance of the 6 following features: 1. Wider borders on the front 2. Gold bar across the top not the right color, containing a greenish tint 3. Images not as clear, CCM logos blurred 4. Words around NHL shield on back not legible 5. Picture on back little contrast, not sharp 6. Registered logo on back more sharp and clear than original.

- This set is considered to be the first "premium" hockey set.
- This set is considered the most "rare" set of 1990-91 (rare for its time).
