1997 Ineda Signature Series

Trivia

  • Each card depicts an All Black on a green background with printing in gold foil. Although there are 33 different cards in the set, each set contained two number 33s, the checklist. The only card not signed was the checklist. Player cards were autographed, in gold pen, by the particular All Black shown on the card. Only 250 of each card were printed and each was individually numbered, between 1 and 250. The card's serial number only is shown on the back of the card at the bottom (no /250 is shown). During the card signings, some cards were smudged and some cards had actually missed being signed. The rest of the cards in these sets, ie. with the same number, were either split up and sold individually through vending machines, or were grouped with other cards to create a set with different numbers. Signed sets with the same number were available for purchase as a complete set through retailers or direct from Ineda. Fully signed sets of cards with the same number have a greater value than those with mixed numbers.
  • Signature Series cards were sold in either a frame, or a numbered wooden box with COA (matching the cards' numbers - eg SN10 cards will be in a wooden box numbered 010 to match the card numbers). Approximately less than 10 sets were framed and less than 65 exist in wooden boxes.
