- This year would see the introduction of the popular AFL Milestone subset. It features players who reached a games milestone the previous season with 100 games being labelled as bronze, 150 games as silver, 200 as gold and 250 games as platinum. As a result, retiring players from the previous season could find themselves with a card in the major release despite not being on an AFL list.
