Collect baseball, football and basketball cards in that order of preference.

Working to complete my 70's baseball and football sets.

Cards do not have to be perfect but defnintely want to avoid major blemishes - large creases, water stains, tears, holes, etc.  When possible, prefer to trade same years/sport.  If not same, then similar years.  My goal is to be transparent about quality of cards and make mutually agreeable trades that we both feel good about and that help

I have more baseball duplicates for trade than I have yet been able to enter into tcdb.com.  I have only entered baseball duplicates through 75 but have many duplicates through 81 and then some more in the late 80's.

Don't you love sports cards?  I sure do.

Anthony

• Working on low to mid grade 1970 through 1972 complete Topps baseball sets, but I'll take any condition just to complete these sets. I'm focusing on these right now and I hope to trade as much for these as I can. I will buy if the price is right. I'm over halfway on 1970-1972 with HOF and High #'s remaining.

• Detroit Tigers Topps Team Sets, including SP (Complete 1958 to present)

• Detroit Lions Topps and Donruss post 2015 Team Sets, including SP (Complete 1956 to present)

• West Michigan Whitecaps Team Sets (Complete 1994 to present)

• Topps Flagship Baseball Sets 1970 to present (Complete 1973 to present)

• Topps Flagship Football Sets (Complete 1981-1992)

• Topps Traded/Update Sets (Complete 1974 to present)

• Topps Pro Debut Sets (Complete 2010 to present)

• MLB Mascots

• Any other local teams of interest - Grand Rapids Griffins, Muskegon Lumberjacks, Grand Rapids Rampage, Traverse City Beach Bums, Traverse City Pit Spitters, etc.

I've been very blessed in my trades and transactions here on TCDB. Thank you to all. I will trade vintage for modern and vice versa as long as there is roughly equal value felt on both sides. I am a set builder and collecter. I do not speculate on my cards for future value. I do this for fun, not for profit. I will sell, but only to build a small bank of money to use for buying cards I can't trade for. I've traded hundreds of cards each way and I've done many 1 for 1 trades, so no trade is too big or small for me.

In packaging, I use painter's tape ONLY. I try to use a photo mailer for small trades of about a dozen or less.  I use #10 PWE for trades up to about 2 dozen cards and maybe 2 PWE for 4 dozen.  After 50 cards, I typically will use a bubble mailer with tracking.  If it is 200 or more cards, they will likely be in a box well padded.

Came across tcdb.com towards the end of 2019, and have now completed over 1,000 transactions!  Love everything about this site.  I have met so many cool people from all over the Country, and even a few from Canada and beyond.

Stole this from another member, but......my goal is to have zero cards in my For Sale/Trade List.  So keep the proposals comin'!

Update #3 (10/20/21):  All 1977 sets (Baseball, Basketball, Football & Hockey) are now complete.  Thanks to all for the trades to help make it happen.

Update #2: 1977-78 Topps Basketball is now complete as well.

Update #1 to current project below: 1976-77 Topps Hockey is now complete. Well on my way on the other sets. Appreciate all the help to this point.

***My newest project is to complete Topps sets for all four major sports from 1977 (my birth year).  I have the complete set of baseball, but have now added all cards for 1977 Topps Football, 1976-77 & 1977-78 Topps Basketball, and 1976-77 & 1977-78 Topps Hockey to my Want List***  (TASK COMPLETED)

My PC list is as follows (with TCDB rankings as of 6/15/2022):

NBA: Giannis (3), Dirk Nowitzki (2), and Tim Duncan (3).  (I also unofficially collect MJ , Kobe, & Larry Bird).

NFL: Aaron Rodgers (2), Aaron Jones (1), Sterling Sharpe (4), Jaire Alexander (1), Brett Favre (13) and Don Majkowski (2).

MLB: Aaron Ashby (1), Roberto Clemente (1), Jackie Robinson (2), Robin Yount (10), Tony Gwynn (7), Hal Morris (3), Mark Grace (7), Ethan Small (1), Pat Listach (1), Corbin Burnes (2) and Mark Langston (1).

WWE: Lita (7).

(Although I currently live in Florida, I was born in Milwaukee.....hence my obsession with Wisconsin sports teams.  Ha)

Please check out my For Sale/Trade list, and feel free to message me or send me trade proposals any time.....let's see what we can get done!  (I don't necessarily trade based on "book value", but rather the value to me, so please feel free to counter if I propose a trade that you feel is unfair).

Low grade/raw vintage HOF cards

Condition requirements (for truly vintage stuff, 70's and older):

What I don't usually mind (within reason): corner issues, small wrinkles or creases, some writing on the card if it's minimal and was clearly done a long time ago by some kid, minor stains

What I usually don't like: off center (like worse than 60/40 or maybe 65/35) or miscuts, significant paper loss, trimmed cards, back of card is illegible or not able to be read because of condition issues or miscut/off centering

Modern stuff:

Sealed unopened stuff from 80s and early 90s

Annual Bowman set collector (paper base, chrome, mojos/Megas, main inserts and mojo/mega inserts, but usually not colors or other parallels or numbered stuff)

Annual Topps Chrome collector (usually base set and inserts)

Favorite teams: Orioles, Reds, Pirates

Favorite players: Ripken Jr., Clemente, Griffey Jr., Adam Jones, Manny Machado, Eddie Murray, Jim Palmer, Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson, Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Ernie Banks, Mickey Mantle, Fernando Tatis Jr., Juan Soto, Vlad Guerrero Jr., Eric Davis, Barry Larkin, Yadi Molina, Frank Thomas, Bo Jackson, Greg Maddux, Adley Rutschman, Grayson Rodriguez, Gunnar Henderson, Heston Kjerstad, Ryan Mountcastle, Wander Franco, Mike Trout, Willie Stargell, Ron Santo, Vada Pinson, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Johnny Bench, Ted Williams, Warren Spahn ... is this even helpful at this point? Haha, I like stars young and old, but tend to steer away from jerks, cheaters, criminals (Sorry Pete Rose, Barry Bonds, and Carlos Correa, I don't want your cards)

I am mainly a set builder.  My major goal is completing my "legacy" Topps baseball set (complete sets of every base set since the year I was born).  I am working on 71-73, and 2014.  I have the others.  70's era condition is not critical, I'll take fillers until my set is complete, so long as the value is in line with the condition.. If it's on my 1971, 72 or 73 wantlist, I'll take those cards you're embarrased to trade!  Anything from the 80's forward, I am generlly looking for EX or better.

Recent completions:

1995 Leaf Baseball

2010 Bowman Platinum Baseball

1991 Opeechee Premier baseball

1992-93 Opeechee hockey

1992 Topps GoldWinners baseball

My trade list cards should all be ex+ condition from 79-date, VG+ 75-78, and from 74 and older there is a large range.  I try to note serious defects like creases or ink, but there will most likely be wear on the early 70 stuff, and a lot of my '71 extras have writing on them.  If you are looking for high condition only in this range, message me first, so I don't waste your time.

I pc Alan Trammell cards, my favorite player from childhood, and seeing as how I also just recently battled colon cancer, I am collecting Trey Mancini cards too. Football is Barry Sanders, Calvin Johnson and Chris Spielman.  Please feel free to add in any cards of these players in trades!

I would like to trade my extra baseball 70's extras for lots of 70's football.  Also trade my extra 80's baseball and football for 80's hockey.  I don't have these on my wantlists, because there would be so many...  If you are interested, however, message me, and I will initiate an offer.

I have several "extra" complete sets, that I would be willing to trade for a set of equal value that I do not currently have.  Check out my completed sets list on my website, if you think you're interested.

UPDATE 6/22/22:  Taking a break from trading for the summer - plan to be back at it around mid-October!  Looking forward to helping complete some sets then!

TRADERS: I am collecting VG/EX or better, and definitely no creases or writing.  PLEASE let me know if the cards you are providing as part of a trade are not VG/EX or better, and send me pictures if you have any questions.  I will provide same for you.

NOTE re my '71 Topps For Trade:  The following cards have pencil marks on the front and should be considered in Poor (PR) condition due to those marks : #9/G. Scott, 97/Wicker, 33/D. Unser, 40/L. May, 114/B. Conigliaro, 211/P. Hennigan, 252/Leon, 720/M. Alou  The writing is neat (must have been a precursor to my engineering career), not dark, and was done by me as a boy.  For example, the George Scott card has "Brewers" which was me writing his current team on the card.  I am willing to trade these (which if not for the marks would be at least VG/EX) and send pictures of front and back if needed.

Looking forward to some good trades!

Mostly vintage cards from my childhood. I have a large selection of cards from the 1970s for sale and/or trade. I am adding those cards to my for sale/trade list on a weekly basis.

Completing series from the 1970s in baseball, basketball and football are my main priorities. Condition desired is usually VG-EX but am willing to discuss other options to complete sets.

I am particularly interested in completing basketball sets from 1969-70, 1970-71 and 1971-72.

Hey all!  My name is Kurt and I got back into the hobby in 2019 after being out of it for 25 years.  I enjoy set building and TTM's.  Fairly new to this site and constantly adding/updating what I have/need.  Set's I am currently focusing on are listed below and of course I have too many going at one time.  I also PC Braves, Ripken JR, Yount and Dave Dravecky.  I am always looking for a good trade so make an offer. I have a lot more to trade than what is listed.  Updating that weekly. The only thing I limit is my vintage trades.  I try to keep it vintage for vintage (pre-1980).

Important Trading Notes:

  • I ask that trades are kept within era.  For example, I will not trade 1957 Topps for 1990 Fleer.  No matter how many junk wax era cards are offered in return.
  • Condition of my cards: 1974 and older are mostly G-VG.  Some may have creasing, off-centered etc.  None have paper loss or tears.  1975 - 1985 are VG-EX.  Some early checklists may have marks.  1986 to current are mainly in EX-MT condition.  If you have a specific question about condition feel free to ask.
  • I will typcially send cards via PWE unless the quantity is above 20 or so and then I will send BMWT.  If you wish a smaller trade to be sent BMWT, please adjust the trade accordingly.

**Important Note regarding my FS/T collection: I do TTM (Through The Mail) autographs so there are times I will pull cards from that collection to send out and may forget to update.  If you propose a trade and I don't have the card that may be the reason.

Currently focusing on the following sets:

  • 1957 Topps  (312/407 - 76.7%)  Master Set  (312/416 - 75.0%)
  • 1975 Topps (635/660 - 96.2%)
  • 1981 Donruss (638/643 - 99.2% Master Set)
  • 1983 Donruss (643/660 - 97.4%)
  • 1983 Fleer (644/660 - 97.6%)
  • 1993 Select (392/405 - 96.8%)

I collect all Phillies and Eagles cards, with a particular interest on the vintage '57 - '69 Phillies Baseball and '60 - '70 Eagles Football.

My collection consist of  70's, 80's and early 90's, Baseball and Football. I also have 600 +/- 1989 - 2017 Basketball, and 70's Hockey cards that I am interested in Trading.

Saved all the Trading Cards my 4 boys collected when they were young. They are all middle age now. Somehow carried “those boxes” around for the past 40 years.

Now retired, I recently started to organize, inventory and catalog the contents of “those boxes” .... thanks for TCDB, and this wonderful network of collectors, I would have been lost.

Individual player collections:

  • Bo Jackson
  • Harold Carmichael
  • Mike Schmidt
