I'm a set collector. The sets that I work on are fairly random, and have a lot to do with whether I like the general look of that year's card.

In addition to the base sets, I like working on parallel and numbered parallel sets.

I gravitate toward these three products:

Topps Flagship Series 1, Series 2, Update   (working on 1967, and then primarily 2011 - present)

Topps Chrome:  (2016 - present)

Topps Tribute (2013 only, base and numbered parallels)

• Working on low to mid grade 1970 through 1972 complete Topps baseball sets, but I'll take any condition just to complete these sets. I'm focusing on these right now and I hope to trade as much for these as I can. I will buy if the price is right. I'm over halfway on 1970-1972 with HOF and High #'s remaining.

• Detroit Tigers Topps Team Sets, including SP (Complete 1958 to present)

• Detroit Lions Topps and Donruss post 2015 Team Sets, including SP (Complete 1956 to present)

• West Michigan Whitecaps Team Sets (Complete 1994 to present)

• Topps Flagship Baseball Sets 1970 to present (Complete 1973 to present)

• Topps Flagship Football Sets (Complete 1981-1992)

• Topps Traded/Update Sets (Complete 1974 to present)

• Topps Pro Debut Sets (Complete 2010 to present)

• MLB Mascots

• Any other local teams of interest - Grand Rapids Griffins, Muskegon Lumberjacks, Grand Rapids Rampage, Traverse City Beach Bums, Traverse City Pit Spitters, etc.

I've been very blessed in my trades and transactions here on TCDB. Thank you to all. I will trade vintage for modern and vice versa as long as there is roughly equal value felt on both sides. I am a set builder and collecter. I do not speculate on my cards for future value. I do this for fun, not for profit. I will sell, but only to build a small bank of money to use for buying cards I can't trade for. I've traded hundreds of cards each way and I've done many 1 for 1 trades, so no trade is too big or small for me.

In packaging, I use painter's tape ONLY. I try to use a photo mailer for small trades of about a dozen or less.  I use #10 PWE for trades up to about 2 dozen cards and maybe 2 PWE for 4 dozen.  After 50 cards, I typically will use a bubble mailer with tracking.  If it is 200 or more cards, they will likely be in a box well padded.

My primary purpose is to sell off most of my trading card collection to others who enjoy the hobby like I do. I am the original owner of nearly all of the cards and I'm selling them for 25%-30% below eBay sale prices in most instances with the hope the cards will go to people who appreciate them. While many of the trade proposals that come in are very interesting and appealing, I am resisting the temptation to trade until I have significantly pared down my collection.

I've made a sincere effort to list the condition of each card I entered into TCDB. Most of the time, the condition entered has been relatively accurate however, there are some instances when due to inexperience and aging eyesight I overstated the condition of the card usually by about one grade level unfortunately (for example, I entered it as Excellent but it's more like VG/EX.) These instances were more likely to occur earlier on in the process of entering my collection into TCDB. But overall, the listed card condition should be in the ballpark. For stars and non-commons for the years 1981 and newer, I did not enter conditions because every card is NR MT or EX-MT unless otherwise noted.

For some of the non-sports cards I was unable to invest the time to enter a condition so I will try to make you aware ahead of time if any of the cards have issues. The non-sports cards generally average VG or better with a range of NR MT to some in well-loved condition.

Because of my work schedule, my preference is to try to do transactions with a combined value of over $20 but if you need to do a smaller transaction then I will do my best to work with you. It's difficult for me to invest the time in those types of micropurchases at the moment which is why I try to sell larger lots whenever possible but if you need me to, I will do smaller ones. Thank you for your understanding.

With regards to what I collect now, I have a far narrower focus than I used to. I enjoy collecting 1950s and 60's baseball cards, basketball cards, and football cards with an emphasis on 1953-1956 cards as well as vintage Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots.

I enjoy and appreciate the opportunity to participate in this online community. Thanks for the contributions each of you make to it.

Working on the Topps baseball run from 53 to present.  Newfound love for 90s basketball cards  Lots of duplicates for trades.  Set builder.  Rod Carew fan and collector.  Was a hoarder then found out those Hostess cards I saved all those years are worth a few bucks.  Collection sat in tubs for 40 years and several moves and now getting serious again since I've retired.

Update:  Due to the high cost of mailing international packages, I will no longer accept trade offers outside of the US and Canada.

I am open to trading or selling.  Also, there are some cards currently listed in my collection that I would consider trading or selling.

First and foremost, I am a father of a special needs daughter so bear with me on trade proposals as life can get difficult.  Im not trying to ghost anyone.  I just dont always get the time to myself to enjoy this site the way I would like to.  If I propose or accept an offer, I will ALWAYS follow through.

Variations, Inserts, Parallels, Short Prints, Rookie Cards, HOFers

Orioles, Nationals, Pirates, Senators

Redskins, Steelers, Penguins, Capitals

Washington Bullets

Tennis Cards

Prefer cards which would be viewed as Mint.  I assume trades are Mint for Mint, unless otherwise noted.  Just let me know if you want to trade any other condition up front.  My 70s cards for trade/ sale have condition listed.  I will be happy to describe creases, color issues, etc. if you ask.

CURRENTLY WORKING ON COMPLETING THESE SETS - 3/4/2024:

64 Topps Football in Ex+ to NM
65 Topps Football in VgEx or better
Trading on pause as of 3/4/2024

IF YOU WANT TO TRADE, THOSE ARE THE CARDS I'M LOOKING FOR.  OTHERWISE WE CAN TRY AND WORK OUT A SALE.  PLEASE DON'T ASK "WHAT DO YOU WANT FOR X CARD" IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO TRADE.

Most of my cards available are Vg+ to Ex but as usual some are much better and some will be worse. Writing on a card is a sin.  No card with writing should be graded higher than very good.

Baseball vintage $ > Football vintage $, that's just the way the world works.

And if you are looking to complete your 73 - 81 Topps baseball, I'm your guy!  Why I have almost 20,000+ doubles from those sets is beyond me 8)

I am looking to buy complete Topps baseball sets pre -1981 as well as HOF's PSA 7 or better pre-74.
I have multiple sets available for sale/trade post-1983 Topps/Fleer/Donruss/Score/UD.  Shoot me a message if interested.

My favorite teams are 1A Cubbies and 1B M's

I am looking to hit every variation and insert I can for 2020-2022 Topps Chrome.

I pack all trades up to 12 cards PWE, and bubble wrap with tracking if over.

I recently decided this hobby has become to overwhelming to keep up with as I was trying.  I have decided to chase Topps Base Sets, Topps Chrome, and Bowman only going forward.  As a result I just added about 45k of my collection to my trade list and the offers have been overwhelming!   Please I am not looking to trade SP's for base, or other things.  If you want some of my autos, try and offer autos in return, I am a sucker for Bowman color so that is a great way to get some of my low numbered cards LOL.

I am going to pause my trading for a couple of days and will resume on Saturday once I get caught up.
