Trade Policy

• Trading is fun! Let's keep it that way :)
• S&H: I top load every card in a PWE transaction, so I limit PWEs to what can fit in four 60pt top loaders, usually 4-8 cards depending on paper vs chrome. Anything else goes into a BMWT, either top loaded or in a team bag surrounded by top loaders. Better to be safe than sorry.
• Transactions: If you'd like to work out the details of a deal over messages, that's fine. Once we get the details ironed out, the transaction should go through the normal transaction flow on this site.
• Proposals: I do my best to respond to proposals right away, but this is a hobby, not my job so it may take me a few days.
• Sales: I strongly prefer trades to sales. I will only conduct sales with PP G&S.
• International: I'll consider International transactions that are worth the additional cost of S&H only.

If I have something on my ForSale/Trade list that you need and you have nothing to trade me, I am more than willing to sell most cards on my FS/T list at a very reasonable price...especially to fellow set collectors! If you want all top name rookie cards however, I probably will not be willing to discount very much. Just sayin'. Usually it works best, easiest, and fastest if you just send a proposal with what the card(s) are worth to you.

VAR's: Hate them, but I get it...some people want every card in a set including different variations. I do the best I can in identifying all the different variations and listing them correctly. However, if it's important to you to get a specific variation in a trade, please let me know so I can be sure I have the correct one for you. That is important if you need a specific variation, as I have been known to make a mistake every once in a while on identifying correct variations...especially when the variation is printed so small that an eagle with a magnifying glass couldn't read it!

My son and I are trying to build Topps Chrome sets and like to collect any type/ brand of Ronald Acuna Jr., Aaron Judge, Mike Trout, and Shohei Ohtani.  I am open to make trades so long as they are close in value. I don't mind shipping large quantities of cards if you have a particular, one or two, cards that I'm looking for.

I'm happy to send pictures of my cards prior to accepting the deal.  I stay very busy as most of us do. That said, I prefer to pull all cards before accepting a trade to ensure that I have everything.  A lesson I learned in too many previous trades.  I don't like to be in a rush to do this and typically have to wait for the weekend to get into my cards.  If you are interested in a trade, but you're on a timeline, please communicate that and I'll most likely be able to accommodate.

I have decided to scale back from trying to collect every Braves card ever made and concentrate on the the sets I like. Lately it seems to be next to impossible to collect team sets since there are so many inserts, VAR, SP, and just all to many brands. Topps has once again turned collecting into $$$ for them by making so many different brands. The cost to collect is getting to be very expensive and making me question the hobby again. I still plan on trading and looking for the cards I am still missing.

Now I'm 39 years old and the obsession is even worse (or better, depending on how you look at it).  Working for Topps would be a dream job at this point.

• Aaron Judge Cards (As of 4/19, following watching him rob Shohei Ohtani of a HR and then hit a bomb the following half inning).
• Current and Past Year Topps Sets 1, 2 and Update base cards & certain inserts (priority to the 35th Anniversary Cards, Redux cards and Black Gold, but there are others that I like)
• Current and Past Year Topps Chrome and Update base cards & inserts (again, priority to 35 Anniversary & Redux cards)
• Other inserts and parallels that look cool.

Right now I’m mostly focusing on adding to my Darryl Strawberry Collection, but also looking to complete the 2021 and 2022 Topps Main Sets & Updates, as well as Chrome.  I'm also beginning to collect Aaron Judge cards.

My preference is to trade duplicates from 2021 and 2022 for cards that I need from those sets, but I’m willing to trade any number of them to get parallels and serial numbered cards. 

All cards in my collection are available in the right deal! Every day, I'm adding more cards to my For Sale List, most of which are in great condition.  Any cards you might be interest in, I'll check out before finalizing a deal.

I will gladly trade PWE worldwide with almost anyone. I will only mail about 18-21 cards per #10 envelope domestically, and 12-18 cards per #10 envelope internationally. Due to costs, I'd like to limit international trading to no more than 18 cards per transaction. For large amounts of cards (>36) with U.S. traders, I can do either PWE or bubble mailer, as long as both parties agree on the method of shipping.

I'll usually leave trade proposals up for one week. After seven days, I move on. Nothing personal.

I've been very blessed in my trades and transactions here on TCDB. Thank you to all. I will trade vintage for modern and vice versa as long as there is roughly equal value felt on both sides. I am a set builder and collecter. I do not speculate on my cards for future value. I do this for fun, not for profit. I will sell, but only to build a small bank of money to use for buying cards I can't trade for. I've traded hundreds of cards each way and I've done many 1 for 1 trades, so no trade is too big or small for me.

In packaging, I use painter's tape ONLY. I try to use a photo mailer for small trades of about a dozen or less.  I use #10 PWE for trades up to about 2 dozen cards and maybe 2 PWE for 4 dozen.  After 50 cards, I typically will use a bubble mailer with tracking.  If it is 200 or more cards, they will likely be in a box well padded.

I do NOT collect/keep any other cards of any other players/teams.  If the card isn't a unique card to me of one of my guys above, it's not something I will keep.  I don't want duplicates either.  I'll trade it or sell it if it's something I think I can move; otherwise, no thanks.  But I DO want any card of any of my PC guys if I don't already have it.  My trade/sell and want/wish lists are updated, so if it's not on those lists, it's highly unlikely that I'm interested in it, or I already own it.

Goal for VINTAGE ONLY CARDS (condition NOT very important...just no rips/tears, no writing on the front...some creases ok): Hank Aaron (preferably in a Milwaukie uniform, but not required), Mickey Mantle pre-1969 (earlier the better), Babe Ruth any vintage year, Joe DiMaggio any year, Lou Gehrig any year, Ted Williams pre-1955, Jackie Robinson any year, Shoeless Joe any year, Jimmie Foxx any year, Satchel Paige any year, and Stan Musial pre-1960.  For basketball, would like a Alcindor while in Milwaukie, early Doctor J, Oscar, early Magic/Bird, Bill Russell, Wilt, David Thompson, Cousy, Mikan, Moses & maybe a couple others.  Prefer to stay as cheap as possible, but for the right card might go a little higher...obviously Mantle/Ruth/Joe D/Wilt and those types would be more.  Again, condition I know won't be great at these prices.  I now have a Hank, Mantle, Clemente, Bob Gibson, Ernie Banks, Sandy Koufax, Mays, Jerry West, Maravich and Gervin at these levels, and a couple of Ted Williams, that I'm very happy with.

• I will typically send cards via PWE unless the quantity is above 20 and then I will send BMWT.  If you wish a smaller trade to be sent BMWT, please let me know & adjust the trade accordingly.

please confirm all cards before sending or accepting a trade with me. While stuff happens sometimes, I always confirm cards before preceding with a deal, and have that same expectation.  Additionally, please alert me if you won't be sending your trades within a few days of confirming a deal. I always send within a day, and the rare times I can't, I communicate it. So I expect the same. Simple courtesy folks.
