Stopped building sets in 09 and now have stopped chasing SFGiants/49ers in 2019. But still have lots of wants. Due to a generous divorce court had to return to work, so trading is still important to me but now pulling and mailing can only be done on fridays and saturdays.

I collect just about anything related to the Baltimore Orioles.  My collecting passions include Orioles team issued postcards, team issued B&W 8x10 photos and programs.  I also collect items from the Orioles minor league affiliates from 1954- present, especially programs and team photos.

My Orioles card collection ranges from 1954 - present.  I really enjoy Orioles regional and oddball card sets.  I also collect minor league sets from O's affiliates.

Thanks for reading and I hope we get to make a trade!

This site offers the unique ability to turn stuff I don't want into stuff I do for only the cost of postage. I make 3-4 trades a week and I've completed over 400 trades.

Send me offers!  I get maybe 1 offer for every 50-60 that I send out.  I enjoy trading, but constantly searching for trades is becoming a time suck.  If I have something you want, please ask me for it.  If we don't have matches I will find something I'm willing to trade for on your trade-list.

Within reason, the actual value is less important to me than expanding my collection.  I don't normally look up values.  If the site has prices listed, I may use those, but my view is trading a card I don't want for a card I do want is a win regardless of "value" or "worth".  I will try and even out trades with more than a couple cards in each direction based on Beckett BV or COMC/Sportlots.

If you get a trade offer from me that doesn't meet your expectations, please offer me a counter.  If I decline a trade, I will always provide a reason, please offer me the same courtesy.  If you decline a trade without a reason, I'm probably not offering again.  If your response is "it's not worth the postage" or "values are a little off" I probably won't offer again.  It's just not how I look at trading.

Collecting interests:

  • Ripken Collection: This is my primary collection; I've been a collector since I was a kid.  Currently the #6 on the site.  My goal is over 5000 unique cards logged.  So, if I don't have it, I want it.  Although my want-list doesn't include any card SN#ed 25 or less, that doesn't mean I won't trade for it.  I whittled down my want-list to only include cards SN#ed higher than 25 to make the list easier to navigate.  I am willing to trade from this collection, so long as I have the same number or more cards coming in as I do going out, but I'm selective on what I'm willing to deal from this collection based on how difficult it would be to replace it.
  • Vintage & high-profile Orioles and St. Louis Browns players:  I have cards from lots of different Orioles players.  Some guys I may have up to a couple dozen cards.  Within this collection I'm trying to put together a collection of rookie cards for the top 50 Orioles WAR players of all-time, 48/50 complete.  I do cycle cards in and out of this collection, especially for current players.  If there is something you like here, message me and we may be able to work something out.  My want-list is generally small for this collection but I'm open to adding stuff not on my want-list. If there is something you like from my trade-list, you can always offer me some Orioles cards.  I especially like orange parallels and black parallels; it pairs well with the jerseys.
  • Orioles minor league players: Notable Orioles prospects and minor league cards of significant Orioles players. These are generally not available because I tend to only keep one minor league card per player.  I may be willing to make a deal involving the same player.
  • Baseball Stars and HOFers: Unless you'd be offering a better card of the same player, these cards are not available for trade.  I'm always interested in acquiring a card of a good or great baseball player, whether or not they are on my want-list.  Condition (on vintage) usually doesn't matter to me as long as it's not creased or ripped.  I'm more interested in the historical value than the monetary value for this collection.
  • 1992 Topps Baseball: It may be the epitome of junk era cards, but this was the set that got me into collecting.  I built the set as a kid and is one of only 2 complete sets I have. It's nostalgic that Topps has used this layout for reprint sets.  In addition to '92 Topps and Topps Traded I have completed the '92 portions of 2012 Topps Archives (6 cards), 2013 Topps Archives (3 cards), and 2022 Archives (25 cards), I also have finished sets of 2021 Topps Update Redux (50 cards) and the 2022 Topps Archives MLD autographs (15 cards).  I'm currently building '92 portion of 2017 Archives (100 cards).
  • Football and Hockey:  Buffalo Bills, Washington Football, and Buffalo Sabres cards.  Feel free to offer me anything I don't have, particularly off-base cards.  Prefer players not be in their college jerseys.  If you want something from me and we don't have any matches, feel free to offer me stuff from these teams, particularly Josh Allen, Sean Taylor, or Chris Cooley. Any of these are also available in the right trade.
  • Non-sports: This collection is just used to catalog my early 90's Marvel sets.  No wants or for-trades for these and I'm not willing to break my complete Marvel sets.  If you are looking at a trade and can't find anything, my kids are into Pokémon and I'll take some of the insert cards (EX, GX, V, MAX, etc..) in trades to trade with (or bribe) my kids.

Other useless and non-useless information:

  • I'm constantly trying to build the different insert sets from Ripken's 2007 HOF year.  I've already put together the Ultra Iron Man, SPx Iron Man, Upper Deck Commemorative, Upper Deck Road to the Hall (w/Gwynn), and the Upper Deck Iron Men (w/Gehrig), and am working on Spectrum Road to the Hall, and Ripken Chronicles.  I'm only 1 away on the Chronicles set.  Any help on these would be greatly appreciated as they are very hard to find on auction sites.
  • I have a personal goal of seeing every MLB stadium.  Currently at 26 and hopefully crossing off both LA stadiums next!  Lots of good memories trying to complete this goal, but the best in-game memory is seeing Max Scherzer's no hitter! 1 OUT FROM A PERFECT GAME!  Stupid Jose Tabata...
  • Packaging: I prefer PWE.  Trades become less enticing when I need to drop $5-$6 on a bubble mailer.  I typically will package smaller trades (6 cards or less) in semi-rigid holder(s) with first class stamp.  Over 6 cards will be shipped in 9 pocket pages with cereal box cardboard and a non-machinable stamp.  I seldom make trades over 18 cards, but those would generally require a bubble mailer.  Please don't tell me after we both accept a trade that you want your stuff packaged BMWT if it doesn't fit with how I pack things.  I try and review packaging expectations in profiles before proposing a trade, but if that is your expectation, please make me aware before we both accept the trade.  If your packaging expectation isn't stated in advance, I'm packing how I see most appropriate.
  • Shipping: I make regular trips to the post office and will attempt to mail things out the day after they are accepted.   I will only ship PWE internationally, must be able to be sent with a single international stamp.
  • Trading: I don't have any weird restrictions on trades.  I'm fine trading big lots for small lots or small lots for big lots.  I'll trade between eras and between sports.  I'll do inserts for commons or commons for inserts.  I just want both sides to feel like they've improved their collection after our trade is completed.
  • Buying: I'm open to buying but only if it's slanted in my favor and likely only to add to my Ripken collection.  I'm much more interested in trading.  Buying, in the type of cards I need to increase my collection gets very expensive, very quickly.
  • Selling: I'm open to selling anything on my trade list.  If you'd want bulk base commons, I'd do $0.15 - $0.20 per card plus shipping.  That should be better than on eBay or Sportlots.  Anything off base, send me a reasonable offer.  I'd love to clear some room in my trade boxes.  I tend to use COMC to comp anything off-base and make sure my price is less than on the site.  I will quote any purchase BMWT unless we agree to a lower cost method.  All reasonable offers considered!

Collects:

1. Kirby Puckett PC - TCDB #9. He was my all-time favorite player to watch growing up, and there is no close second. I'm closing in on 1,000 unique cards.

2. Twins flagship Topps base cards, including Traded/Rookies/Update. I've completed 1982-2022, and need about 75 more cards to finish the 1970's before I move back to the 1960's.

3. All Minnesota Twins cards - TCDB #12. If I don't already have it, I want it. As I cross the 10,000 card milestone, I'm shifting focus to collecting one of each of the 961 players who've been on the Twins major league roster. Of those with a card on the Twins (*or minor league affiliate) I've collected 632 out of 837.

4. 2021 Topps Gold Label - Thus far I've completed Class 1, 2, & 3 base, Class 1 & 2 Black, and at least 1 SN parallel for Class 1. I need 11 more to complete Class 3 Black and have 45% of the the [non-1/1] colored parallels. I don't expect to collect one of each SN colored parallel, but would like to get at least one SN card of each player in each Class (300 total) - for this I need 28 more.

5. Misael Urbina PC - TCDB #1. After hitting a few of his autograph cards in team breaks in late 2021, I've gone a bit overboard and now have one of the most runaway TCDB #1 collections. I recently completed a "Royal Flush" - five consecutively serial numbered cards from the same parallel set. Since it appears young Misael's prospects of making the Majors is flickering, I'm slowly moving on from this PC - mostly now only acquiring low-priced/low-SN cards I don't have.

6. Joe Ryan PC - TCDB #1. Hard not to like this guy - not only is he an impressive pitcher, but also a big Grateful Dead fan.

7. Junk Era set building (1987-1994). I've finished about 35 sets, working on another 7. Most are very close, just 1990 Leaf with quite a ways to go.

I’ve been collecting cards for over 47 years and have over 492,000 unique cards in my main collection, including some nice vintage stuff.  I collect older cards of the four major sports but lately I've been expanding to some more recent sets.  I'm primarily a Set Builder and I’m looking for other like-minded set builders to trade with.   I’ve accumulated tons of extra cards that I would like to trade away with almost 250,000 cards in my current For Trade list.  Big trades don't bother me. I have a huge Want List, so hopefully you have something I need.  Feel free to make me an offer.

For Canadian Traders: It's expensive for me to trade across the border.  Going forward I would like to limit cross border trades to two (2) PWEs. That's about 54 standard-size cards.  Thanks.

For Anyone Outside US/Canada: The increased postal rates have made it impossible for me to trade outside North America cheaply.  So going forward I will have to decline trades from outside US/Canada.  Sorry about that.

Update on Donruss/Leaf * Variations and Upper Deck Holo Variations:
I can't guaranty the junk wax era Donruss/Leaf cards and the UD holo variations are listed with the correct variation.  Going forward I will no longer check the variations on these cards.  If you want these cards regardless of the variations, feel free to request them in the trade.  Howver, If you want a specific variation of these cards, I'm no longer your guy - please don't put them in the trade request.  For all other cards that have variations, I will contniue to check and make sure you get the correct one.

Note on Vintage Cards:
I have over 6,000 vintage cards listed for trade (I consider vintage to be 1977 or earlier).  For each card I've noted a condition grade and if you check closer, a note on each regarding any condition issues (be sure to select the correct one if multiple cards are shown).  Please note that I'm by no means a professional grader and if you're hyper-sensitive on card condition, please message me first and I'd be happy talk about it.  In exchange for these cards I have three priorities:

  • 1) similar vintage cards that I need (any sport)
  • 2) inserts for my 90s sets that I need (any sport)
  • 3) or non-junk era base cards that i need as a last resort (any sport)

Note on Card ConditionA card noted as Pr, Fr, Gd, or GdVg will have some obvious condition issues such as creasing, corner wear, or marks.  I would consider them place holders in a collection at best (I've listed them because some people do want place holders).  A VG card will usually be a clean card with some corner wear or a centering issue.  For me, VG would be the bare minimum for my personal collection.  EX will be nice sharp card and VgEx will be something just between VG and Ex, still a nice card with a small issue that prevents it from being EX.  NM in vintage is a tough find.

8/24/2023 - UPDATE: I've done quite a few sales following my prior note.  Thank you to all who sent proposals.  I am turning trading back on, but will definitely still consider selling to anyone who is interested.  Thank you!!

Came across tcdb.com towards the end of 2019, and I have now completed over 1,400 transactions, with over 22,000 cards changing hands!  Love everything about this site.  I have met so many cool people from all over the Country, and even a few from Canada and beyond. (Just completed a trade to Finland, as a matter of fact).

Stole this from another member, but......my goal is to have zero cards in my For Sale/Trade List.  So keep the proposals comin'!

(I know my Want List is relatively small, so I am certainly willing to Sell cards if we don't have enough matches to work out a trade)

My PC list is as follows (with TCDB rankings as of 9/28/2023):

NBA: Giannis (5), Dirk Nowitzki (4), and Tim Duncan (2).

NFL: Sterling Sharpe (3), and Don Majkowski (2)

MLB: Aaron Ashby (1), Roberto Clemente (1), Jackie Robinson (2), Robin Yount (8), Tony Gwynn (6), Hal Morris (3), Mark Grace (7), Ethan Small (1), Pat Listach (1), Corbin Burnes (1) and Mark Langston (1)

WWE: Lita (4)

UFC: Conor McGregor (4)

Non-Sport: Eddie Vedder, Judah Friedlander, Big Jay Oakerson, The Brothers Osborne (TJ & John), Rob Riggle, Bert Kreischer, Tom Segura, Charlie Berens, Post Malone and Brody Stevens

Although I currently live in Florida, I was born in Milwaukee.....hence my obsession with Wisconsin sports teams.  Ha.

Please check out my For Sale/Trade list, and feel free to message me or send me trade proposals any time.....let's see what we can get done!  (I don't necessarily trade based on "book value", but rather the value to me, so please feel free to counter if I propose a trade that you feel is unfair.  I also have no rules about "insert for insert" or any of that nonsense, so don't be shy to shoot me a proposal)

I've been a baseball collector since the late 80's and love to trade.  I am primarily a set collector and belong to several online trading clubs.  My never ending goal is to collect all the regular issued Topps cards from 1952 to present.

My main collecting interests are vintage cards,  Minnesota Twins,  a few newer sets and Bert Blyleven.

Vintage sets:  1952 Topps, 1953 Topps, 1954 Bowman, 1954 Topps,  1955 Topps,  1956 Topps,  1957 Topps,  1963 Topps,  1967 Topps

Newer sets: 2004 Donruss,  2005 Donruss,  2012 Cooperstown, and 2020 Stadium Club.

* I prefer not to trade vintage cards (below 1976) for newer cards.

* Before delivering or accepting a proposal please make sure you have all of the cards.

I collected in the late 80's. Then completely shut down for 30 years. Pandemic provided me an opportunity to return to my collection spring 2020. I had 72 complete sets--Topps regular and traded sets from 1980-1996, and all of the other brands during that era, includiing the 1984 Fleer Update set.  In 2020 I sold the entirety to a LCS. The only cards I retained were personal card collections for Puckett and Sandberg. I sold my Sandberg collection of 450 cards in 2021. My only focus is the Puckett collection (currently #2 on TCDb)-- 1,500 different KP cards. I am willing to buy or trade. For the most part, my only traders are Puckett cards and some MN Twins issued team sets from 1985-1986-1987.

NOTE AS OF JUNE 29:  I am opening back up for a few days, but I will be out of state in early July, and I may not accept your transaction proposals for a couple of weeks due to that fact.

*****

I am selling my mostly-Mets collection due to Parkinson's Disease. Every card price is negotiable, and fairly substantial discounts will apply. Make me an offer!

I prefer selling, but I will entertain good trade offers as well.  I reserve the right to occasionally reject offers that you make, just due to the exhaustion and ennui that accompany Parkinson's.  I am also open to offers for my whole collection, including some pretty interesting pieces of Mets memorabilia that there's no way to list on TCDb, for any of you out there who still have more money than good sense.

In fact, I am willing to give my entire collection away for virtually nothing, if you are willing to come and take it all away.

NOTE: If you order any 1990s-era cards, and you care how many asterisks or periods are shown on the back, let me know at the time of quote, and I will decide whether or not to check, mostly based on the size of your request.

Baltimore Orioles cards of all stripes and flavors!

Sub-collections include:

  • Cards featuring The Bird, the Orioles' mascot
  • Cards featuring Oriole Park at Camden Yards or Baltimore's Memorial Stadium
  • Cards or Stickers focusing on the Orioles logo
  • Canadian-produced (or Japanese, Venezuelan, British...) cards of the Orioles
  • Cards produced by the Star Company featuring Orioles players
  • Weird unlicensed Orioles cards from the junk wax era
  • Topps Opening Day cards featuring Orioles players

I'm good with PWE trading. Big or small trades can both be rewarding. I'll always aim to make sure it's an even trade where everyone is happy!

At the end of the day, all of this should be FUN.

When I started on TCDb, my focus was pre 2000 cards.  I am finding that I am now collecting many post 2000 insert cards, so need many.  Slowly, I will get these want lists out there.

Most of my trades are via pwe, but I am usually looking to make it worth the postage.

1991 Topps Glow and Non-Glow Cards: I listed my extras, but there is not a distinction between Glow and Non Glow cards.  I do have my cards sorted by Glow vs. Non Glow in case you are working on a master set.  Let me know.

I have many Upper Deck Sheets and Hoops Team Night Sheets.  These are large items and cost $4.00-$5.00 to mail the first sheet.  Please keep that in mind when making trade offers for these.

My past collecting focused on Team Issued sets, Stadium Giveaway and regional sponsored sets such as police, Smokey Bear, Mother's Cookies, etc.. from all sports, but a focus on baseball. I am working on a list of sets that I have for trade which will include Police Dodgers, Police Brewers, Pepsi Tigers, Jimmy Dean Rookies, etc..

I grew up near Anaheim Stadium and was a big Angel fan and collected Tim Salmon Cards.  Currently Ranked as #1 Tim Salmon Collector and #1 Happy Star Collector.

If you collect Kellogg's cards from 1972, 1974, 1976, 1977 and 1979 and have the same to trade in Nrmt-Mint without out cracks, please let me know.

Trading: A minimum of 12 cards going each way unless there is a true gem / vintage in the trade. PWE acceptable but prefer large trades of 250+ cards in each direction. Please confirm that you actually have the cards before Accepting a trade; I always do the same at this end. Vintage for vintage; HoF/stars for same; inserts / parallels for same, all as much as possible. Priority are vintage, OPC and sets on my UserLists. Having tried to offer cards from these lists will increase the chances of my Accepting a trade; totally disregarding these and offering me 12+ commons from a set that I am so far from completing that they do not make the list is more prone to being Declined, especially if I see you have cards for trade that are on my lists.

------------------------------

Stats: As of 31 December 2022:

Wants OPC Baseball: base sets 1965-1994 + 1981 Grey Backs and 1990 white stock test issue parallel - 344/13,896 cards (2.48%).

Wants Topps Baseball: base sets 1951-2022 + 1952 Black backs, 1954 Canadian, 1975 mini parallel, 1993 & 1994 Gold parallel - 3,139/48,529 (6.47%). Breakdown by decade: 1951-60 - 1,191/3,816 (31.21%); 1961-70 - 1,041/6,135 (16.97%); 1971-80 - 408/7,721 (5.28%); 1981-90 - Complete; 1991-2000 - 70/7,856 (0.89%); 2001-10 - 148/6,986 (2.12%); 2011-20 - 3/6,841 (0.04%); 2021-22 - 278/1,320 (21.06%).

Trading/PIF/Purchases on TCDb:

2022 - 231 + 7 still In-Progress; Cards Sent - 13,922 / Cards Received - 13,530

Total since being a member: Cards Sent - 72,236 / Cards Received - 63,682 (# of trades really doesn't matter to me as it can be misleading to the quantity of cards have come and gone).

Sets completed through Trades/PIF/Purchases in 2022 - 85 sets including 38 base sets.

---------------------------------

2023 Goals:

1. Re-organize my Oddball / Food Issue Baseball sets. First attempt February 4. Will see how that works.

2. Reduce OPC base set needs to less than 300.

3. Reduce Topps base set needs to less than 2,700 (including the 2023 base set issue). By decade, 1950s to less than 1,000; 1960s to less than 900; 1970s to less than 300.

4. Trade over 10,000 cards going each way.

5. Complete 75 base / insert / parallel / oddball sets.

Feel free to shoot me a trade proposal--small, medium, or large--and I'll follow up as soon as possible. I am usually quick to respond, but I can get busy during the work week. Trading commons for commons, stars for stars, RCs for RCs, etc....you know the drill.

My collecting interests include:

  • Set Building
  • Minnesota Twins
  • Brian Dozier (#1 rank on TCDB)

NOTE: I have various Chrome/Finest/Prizm cards on my wantlist. I will trade for them. But please don't offer them (or send them) if they are all scratched up. If you store these types of cards loose (without penny sleeve), then they are most likely scratched up. But if you store them sleeved, then we are good to go. I am not going to be putting them under a microscope and I am not expecting gem mint; I simply want nicely cared for cards.

Collecting - Mark Martin (next quest 2000 cards, currently 1788 confirmed), Fred Lynn, Cal Ripken, Greg Maddux, Fred McGriff, Ryne Sandberg, Bryce Harper, Mike Trout, Natalya

Trying to finish my 2017 Donruss Racing, 2012 Topps 1987 Topps Minis

Love to trade, don't be afraid to ask if looking for someone, going to take a while to update my collection....if anyone is in the Charlotte area and wants to make an offer on my baseball card collection, I'm willing to listen......

Just an FYI - I usually am on Monday-Friday to respond, weekends are extremely iffy)

My baseball cards are finally 99% listed (all 15,000 of them)..... I'll be honest, I'm not 100% sure the exact condition of the individual cards (especially the pre 1981's), so if you see something you are interested, don't be afraid to ask, I'll be happy to get them out and see what we have. I want to make sure you are happy instead of getting something you don't want.

Thanks!

Still in the long process of uploading my current collection of baseball cards.

Just listing some 1998 Topps Tek. You can make me an offer if you're interested but I'll be honest, due to the complete absurdity that people charge for commons in this set, I will probably only be willing to trade for patterns I'm missing of Matt Williams.

New to the site since 1/25/23 after a 20-year break in collecting and have just completed 100 trades on 4/21/23!
