**Getting rid of all my commons across all baseball products new and old, I have been offering a lot of people bulk for a few cards, if your interested in a bunch, let me know, willing to sell them bulk for cheap as well, shipping figures in, but hoping to get them out to people that need them**

**Have to update that I am only shipping to US and Canada at this point**

I collect Vintage, Heritage, Archives, and most retro Baseball releases.  I like old cards and new cards with vintage designs.  I also have a growing collection of poorly cut and wildly written on cards, so I always enjoy finding examples of those, may publish a book of them some day, but they are not a premium to me, I like them cheap and crazy!

Worst collecting regret...so far....selling my dads SGC 2.5 Mickey Mantle rookie card(9007788-062), his SGC 4 1952 Jackie(9007788-067) and my 1953-1980 complete sets through Heritage Auction House in 2016, they acted like they cared but in the end their level of interest and service goes hand in hand with the grading number on your card, they flaked and disappeared on me losing thousands of my cards in their vault for over a year, stay away from them unless you have the 9.5 Mantle like they just sold, they care then.

I have most of my vintage cards listed for sale/trade but my extras are mostly well loved to good-vg examples, so if you prefer perfect cards or EX-MT I probably can't help you.

My Trading thoughts...

-In terms of overall trades, my vintage is well loved, but in decent shape, im generally looking to trade it for other vintage on my want list(which is mainly variations, Topps oddballs, or a 1952 Mickey Mantle :0) or interesting Heritage/Archives stuff like relics, SPs, or autos in roughly equal value.

-For vintage commons 1958-1985 I have removed cards with really bad corners, gum damaged, badly mis-cut, bad creases,  and anything falling into the poor category and some bordering on fair.  So cards will be high fair condition , mostly good condition, some VG, and a few EX.

-For vintage commons 1952-1957 I have removed cards with missing corners, badly mis-cut, full on creasing and bent cards, but some are what I would consider fair with creasing and rounded corners, generally the older the cards in my lists the lesser condition they are in.

-For vintage stars and high numbers from all years I have removed gum damaged, badly miscut, and cards in poor condition, but have left ones in my trade list that may have bad corners, some creasing, and would be considered fair condition due to them being harder and more expensive at the higher grades, so ask if that is something that might bother you I can share details on defects or photos.

-In terms of Heritage SPs, now that I am done with them, I am more willing to trade what I have left of them for other Heritage special inserts, chromes, autos and/or relics I need in a similar value range.  I no longer require an SP for an SP, but more so then looking for something common, looking to trade them for Heritage stuff I don't have.  All cards are EX or better, with only pack related issues.  I try and remove all dinged corner cards, but if you get some I missed I'm sorry and will work to correct if they are not.

-In terms of Heritage/Archives commons and most other cards I am willing to trade them for most things on my want list again in roughly equal value across the products.  I am also willing to sell bulk Heritage commons if you need a lot for a set.

-In terms of my 80s OPC stuff, it ranges from Fair to Ex condition, I remove cards with writing and serious damage, there are some 71/72 and 79-84 cards that are in lower conditions and mis-cut, as an American collector in the Midwest OPC is hard to get, I usually buy bulk lots and some cards are in bad shape, I pull the really bad ones out, but as experienced OPC collectors know mis-cuts are a way of life, so please understand this.

-I have a few of the Super 7 action figures from the Big League baseball line as well, I look for roughly $25 in trade value for those or figures from the list I don't have in exchange for any of them.  This is the going rate for these and shipping will cost me extra due to the size.

-I have several vintage non-sports sets I have been building, some since my childhood, I am glad to trade equal value and time period baseball cards for those as well.  These cards tend to be Good to EX.

-I have a lot of extra sets of recent Heritage and Archives as well as extra sets of 1980-1989 Topps, Donruss, and Fleer made up of cards I myself opened in the 80's so if you looking for a set let me know and we can discuss how I can give my old cards a good home.

In the end feel free to offer a trade, I wont be offended but may say no based on the above.

I am a set builder, mainly baseball. Over a million cards to trade, 1982-2020, not listed here, were already listed on another site. I have listed some cards here for trade,  and most cards listed in the Sportlots collection are for trade/sale as well.  Thanks!

NOTICE: I've decided to make a slight change my trading approach.   I really don't have any interest in doing these large "player collection" trades anymore.  I'm a set collector and all my traders are stored by set (in nearly 100 3,200 count boxes).  It sometimes takes me hours to pull cards where someone is only looking for certain players.  What's worse, I recently had a guy screw me on a trade after I pulled 120 random cards.   Going forward, I will be rejecting these types of trades.  I'm looking to help people complete their sets and vice versa.  Sorry, but I hope you understand.  Craig

I’ve been collecting cards for over 47 years and have over 503,000 unique cards in my main collection, including some nice vintage stuff.  I collect older cards of the four major sports but lately I've been expanding to some more recent sets.  I'm primarily a Set Builder and I’m looking for other like-minded set builders to trade with.   I’ve accumulated tons of extra cards that I would like to trade away with almost 250,000 cards in my current For Trade list.  Big trades don't bother me. I have a huge Want List, so hopefully you have something I need.  Feel free to make me an offer.

For Canadian Traders: It's expensive for me to trade across the border.  Going forward I would like to limit cross border trades to two (2) PWEs. That's about 54 standard-size cards.  Thanks.

For Anyone Outside US/Canada: The increased postal rates have made it impossible for me to trade outside North America cheaply.  So going forward I will have to decline trades from outside US/Canada.  Sorry about that.

Update on Donruss/Leaf * Variations and Upper Deck Holo Variations:
I can't guaranty the junk wax era Donruss/Leaf cards and the UD holo variations are listed with the correct variation.  Going forward I will no longer check the variations on these cards.  If you want these cards regardless of the variations, feel free to request them in the trade.  However, If you want a specific variation of these cards, I'm no longer your guy - please don't put them in the trade request.  For all other cards that have variations, I will continue to check and make sure you get the correct one.

Note on Vintage Cards:
I have over 6,000 vintage cards listed for trade (I consider vintage to be 1977 or earlier).  For each card I've noted a condition grade and if you check closer, a note on each regarding any condition issues (be sure to select the correct one if multiple cards are shown).  Please note that I'm by no means a professional grader and if you're hyper-sensitive on card condition, please message me first and I'd be happy talk about it.  In exchange for these cards, I have three priorities:

  • 1) similar vintage cards that I need (any sport)
  • 2) inserts for my 90s sets that I need (any sport)
  • 3) or non-junk era base cards that i need as a last resort (any sport)

Note on Card ConditionA card noted as Pr, Fr, Gd, or GdVg will have some obvious condition issues such as creasing, corner wear, or marks.  I would consider them place holders in a collection at best (I've listed them because some people do want place holders).  A VG card will usually be a clean card with some corner wear or a centering issue.  For me, VG would be the bare minimum for my personal collection.  EX will be nice sharp card and VgEx will be something just between VG and Ex, still a nice card with a small issue that prevents it from being EX.  NM in vintage is a tough find.

I am one of the members that helps within the site.  I work closely with the IRs and can answer most questions.  Please send me a message if there is anything I can assist with.  If I don't know, I can certainly try to figure it out or direct you to a resource.

I am a player collector...collecting Robin Yount and Ersan Ilyasova

I like to trade!!  I mainly prefer PWE trades but am set up for larger trades too.  I have a scale at home and the wife works at the post office, so I rarely need to go there.  I like to get my trade list into the hands of members that could use them.  If this means that I give a lot more than I receive, this is fine with me.  You get the cards you need; I get the space back in my area.  I am open to buying and selling, but mainly, I am a trader.  I have mostly gone through and updated for the correct variations in my trade listing.  I also have a spreadsheet that I have documented my Glow vs Non-Glow backed '91 Topps.  Let me help you fill your collecting needs.

My primary collection is something regional, I really want to collect the old Brewer Police cards, they were issued for each community throughout Wisconsin.  But I have been especially looking for the Robin Yount cards.  I think there are over 785 different police sets issued between 1982 and 1993, with over 865 different cards that I am very interested in (He has two cards in the 1993 sets).  Currently, I have 311 different Yount cards.  It's actually been fun, but I have a long way to go.  Any of the other Brewers cards that I have would be available if you are interested but let me check on the condition.  Since I am getting a lot of them through thrift stores, eBay and rummage sales, some are pretty ragged.  I also have Packers Police cards that would potentially be available too.

A fun project that I have started is gathering information on Robin's 3,142 hits.  I have been putting a collection together of him and the pitchers that he hit off of.  This means that I am on the hunt for many, many copies of Robin's Topps cards, one copy for every hit within that year.  But also, many AL pitchers.  I plan to match up the pitcher's card with Robin's card and add a little write up of the at bat and the game.  I'm such a nerd.  UPDATE - Still need over half of Robin's Topps cards.  But I have done very well in regard to his pitchers.  I only need 3 and 2 others to have upgraded!!  Big thanks to everyone that has helped!!

I personally have a very small collection and wants.  When I find something for myself,  I like to try to give a little extra as a big thanks for finding me something special.  Thank you to all that has helped!!

12/4/2023 - Updated my PC lists, so there will be a mass of Jackie Robinson, Roberto Clemente & Corbin Burnes cards available for sale/trade here soon.  As I mention below, my want list is quite narrow, so I am more than willing to sell cards if we don't match up for a trade.

Came across tcdb.com towards the end of 2019, and I have now completed over 1,500 transactions, with over 23,000 cards changing hands!  Love everything about this site.  I have met so many cool people from all over the Country, and even a few from Canada and beyond. (Just completed a trade to Finland, as a matter of fact).

Stole this from another member, but......my goal is to have zero cards in my For Sale/Trade List.  So keep the proposals comin'!

(I know my Want List is relatively small, so I am certainly willing to Sell cards if we don't have enough matches to work out a trade)

My PC list is as follows (with TCDB rankings as of 2/9/2024):

NBA: Giannis (4), Dirk Nowitzki (4), and Tim Duncan (2).

NFL: Sterling Sharpe (3), and Don Majkowski (2)

MLB: Robin Yount (7), Tony Gwynn (6), Hal Morris (3), Mark Grace (7), Pat Listach (1) and Mark Langston (1)

Golf: Rickie Fowler (2)  & Joel Dahmen (2)

WWE: Lita (3)

UFC: Conor McGregor (4)

Non-Sport: Eddie Vedder, Judah Friedlander, Big Jay Oakerson, The Brothers Osborne (TJ & John), Rob Riggle, Bert Kreischer, Tom Segura, Charlie Berens, Post Malone and Brody Stevens

Although I currently live in Florida, I was born in Milwaukee.....hence my obsession with Wisconsin sports teams.  Ha.

Please check out my For Sale/Trade list, and feel free to message me or send me trade proposals any time.....let's see what we can get done!  (I don't necessarily trade based on "book value", but rather the value to me, so please feel free to counter if I propose a trade that you feel is unfair.  I also have no rules about "insert for insert" or any of that nonsense, so don't be shy to shoot me a proposal)

All New York Yankees cards are welcome to join my collection, though preferably from before the 21st century.

I'm also interested in recreating my main childhood collection, which consisted of mostly 1974 and 1978-1982.

Trading: A minimum of 12 cards going each way unless there is a true gem / vintage in the trade. PWE acceptable but prefer large trades of 250+ cards in each direction. Please confirm that you actually have the cards before Accepting a trade; I always do the same at this end. Vintage for vintage; HoF/stars for same; inserts / parallels for same, all as much as possible. Priority are vintage, OPC and sets on my UserLists. Having tried to offer cards from these lists will increase the chances of my Accepting a trade; totally disregarding these and offering me 12+ commons from a set that I am so far from completing that they do not make the list is more prone to being Declined, especially if I see you have cards for trade that are on my lists.

------------------------------

Stats: As of 31 December 2023:

Wants OPC Baseball: base sets 1965-1994 + 1981 Grey Backs and 1990 white stock test issue parallel - 295/13,896 cards (2.12%).

Wants Topps Baseball: base sets 1951-2022 + 1952 Black backs, 1954 Canadian, 1975 mini parallel, 1993 & 1994 Gold parallel - 2,348/49,189 (4.77%). Breakdown by decade: 1951-60 - 1,087/3,816 (28.49%); 1961-70 - 854/6,135 (13.92%); 1971-80 - 313/7,721 (4.05%); 1981-90 - Complete; 1991-2000 - 31/7,856 (0.39%); 2001-10 -  61/6,986 (0.87%); 2011-20 - 2/6,841 (0.03%); 2021-23 - Complete.

Trading/PIF/Purchases on TCDb:

2023 - 195 + 5 still In-Progress; Cards Sent - 11,877 / Cards Received - 9,527

Total since being a member: Cards Sent - 84,113 / Cards Received - 73,209 (# of trades really doesn't matter to me as it can be misleading to the quantity of cards have come and gone).

Sets completed through Trades/PIF/Purchases in 2023 - 85 sets; 170 sets since Dec 2021 when I started tracking this.

---------------------------------

2024 Goals:

1. Reduce my OPC Base set needs to 250 (presently 295);

2. Reduce my Topps Base set needs to 2100 (presently 2348); by decade - to 1960, 1000 (1087); 1961-1970, 750 (854); 1971-1980, 250 (313);

Update February 26: trading back on.

I'm predominantly a baseball collector, so most of my current collecting focus is there. I've got a mix of player, team, and set goals. I try to keep my wants and for sale/trade lists to about the same size, because otherwise goals start to look unattainable. Some of them probably are anyway, but it's about the journey as much as the destination.

I'm on the more forgiving side in terms of condition on cards received. Ideally, I'd like VG/Ex or better, higher for anything after 1990. Realistically, I'm open to a broader set of conditions, at least on older cards, because I know we've all got cards that are less than perfect, but still serviceable depending on why we're getting them.

Trade philosophy:

After 150+ trades, my philosophy and practice are that the trade should make sense and feel fair to both parties. I suppose it's the silver rule, really: Don't do to others what you would not have them do to you.

I don't often initiate trades, basically due to time and confidence. I'll read your profile before proposing, and I will generally match era for era if your profile doesn't say otherwise. I'll try to keep value as close as possible--I don't use the site prices but will refer to COMC prices as a reality check. I prefer PWE trades for similar numbers of cards, but I'm open to larger.

Current Set goals:

  • 1978 Topps Baseball (83.3% Base)
  • 1988 Score Baseball (94.1% Base)
  • 1988 Topps Baseball (100% Base Set, 31 Dec 2023; 99.2% Master Set)
  • 1991 Leaf Baseball (98.3% Base)
  • 2023 Topps Baseball series 1 & 2 (81.2% Base) + update (47.0% Base)
  • 2021 Topps Baseball series 1 & 2 (63.5% Base) + update (58.2% Base)
  • 2020 Topps Baseball series 1 & 2 (25.7% Base) + update (12.3% Base)
  • 1981 Topps Baseball (38.8% Base)
  • 2021 Topps Big League (72.0% Base)
  • 1991 Donruss Baseball (98.3% Base; 51.8% Master)

Wrapped Up in 2024

  • 1987 Topps Baseball (100% Base Set, 10 Jan 2024)

I love collecting and trading baseball cards -- recently my passion for collecting has been re-ignited and I find myself wanting to collect instead of working!

My goal is to accumulate cards from my birth year (1969) to current.

Baseball -- mainly vintage, but open to anything...

FYI -- I do not pay attention to any variations (the late 80's Donruss is the bane of my existence), so within my collection, I will have many variations co-habitating with each other.

I'M ALWAYS OPEN FOR SELLING IF INTERESTED!  Just look on my For Trade/Sell List and everything is available.

Priority of my want lists:
1 - Any and all Phillies cards (almost anything not in my collection is a "want")
2 - Various set ventures (baseball - 1972 Topps, 2016 Topps Chrome, Archives, Heritage sets, then hockey sets)
3 - Baseball HOFers (1980s)
4 - Baseball HOFers (1970s)
5 - Baseball HOFers (1990s)
6 - Baseball HOFers (other decades)

If there are any other categories of want lists, they would fall between set completion and HOFers.

I added approx. 90,000 cards available for trade in early 2023.

[The next section has been updated on 3/4/2024]

Note: Currently transactions are ON.

While I have transaction requests turned on, trade proposals will be handled in the order in which they are received. I am continuing to take it slow because I don't have the time or patience to take on too many trades at once. Additionally, I have found that it makes it easier on both sides because the cards are known to be available. And please, when we do trade, please make it so that the postage to/from your location to mine makes a trade worthwhile for both of us. Thank you.

Please also note that I am very much open to selling in addition to trading. If you see stuff you want and don't have anything in return, that's okay. We'll work out a deal that will be fair for both of us, not just me (and not just you, please). (The listings over at the SwamiLee account are in my possession and I am also selling those. The only sport left there is baseball.)

April 2024 - I've added a lot of Young Gun cards to my FS/Trade list, please don't propose a trade for these cards without being willing to offer Young Guns in return. Response A) Hate being a stickler about this but I'm really focused on wrapping up my Upper deck sets and need Young Guns cards to do so. Response B) I continue to get lopsided trade offers with folks wanting Young Gun cards, expect me to counter.

March 2024 - I am extremely busy at work right now and have next to no time for card related items. Happy to look at trade offers when I can but the hobby is not a top priority for me right now.

January 2024 - Over 1400 trades completed and I've owned/traded/moved over a million cards since joining the site 6+ years ago. That being said, the current state of trading on this site is atrocious. Several years back, the traders were all great to deal with but this has changed dramatically in the last few years and there's truly on a handful of traders which I feel any level of comfort dealing with. Trade offers go ignored, are countered with ridiculous offers and petty issues seem to be common anymore. I left out everyone seems to treat their cards like million dollar prized possessions. I started a No Trade list but it seemed like every few days I was adding someone to it, not worth it guys and gals. I'm finding that I can buy cards I want either from Sportlots or eBay with so much less hassle. And cheap too.

All that said, when my current stash of postage runs out, I'm turning off trading and not sure if I will be returning. Was a fun ride while it lasted.

November 2023 - Trade Values - I am back to using Beckett to look at card values for trade equality.

Willing to trade to Canada again. I am though not accepting any responsibility for any losses, etc. once I drop my envelope in the mailbox. Trader beware!

October 2023 - Nothing against any of my Canadian traders but I am no longer trading to Canada due to issues with Canada Post and the USPS destroying envelopes causing loss of cards, cards needing to be resent, issues with postage, etc. It's too much folks.

To pull, package and ship cards, only to have one of the postal systems destroy the package makes it a fruitless endeavor. It's a waste of both time and money.

Sadly, Canadian trades make up most of my trades so this is probably the beginning of the end of my trading days.  I will probably beginning selling off most of my collection starting in 2024. It's been a fun ride but thats the way I'm heading right now.

****1990-91 Upper Deck Hockey VAR's on my For Sale/Trade list - Highly unlikely that I have any of the oddball VAR's. These cards were entered mainly as placeholders meaning I do have one version of a given card but probably not the version you need. If time permits, I may be open to checking VAR versions but it's not something that I enjoy doing nor high on my list of things to do. ****

September 2023 - Continuing to focus on collecting one card of anyone who is the four Hall of Fame's. I'm over 90% complete on Baseball and Football. Basketball is lagging far behind. Haven't updated Hockey but I should be in good shape there as well.

Supplies:

For anyone close to Denver, I have a large amount of trading supplies that need to find a new home. I have BCW card houses, 5000 and 3200 count boxes and a host of smaller boxes (800, 660, 550, 400, 300, 200 and 100). The latter is a mixture of used and new Collect-Save-Protect or BCW brand.

Disclaimer on PWE trades

I'm hearing of, and personally experiencing, more and more issues with PWE trades. Mainly postal machines destroying/bending envelopes or envelopes arriving and the cards being missing. I have not seen issues like this in my prior 1100+ PWE trades. That being said, I will continue to send 25 cards or less PWE but once the envelope is dropped in the mailbox, I'm no longer responsible for damage/issues after that point. I'm not sending replacement cards or funds if there's damage once the USPS has my/your envelope or your cards are lost in the mail.

I'm very close to no longer writing "Non-Machinable" on my PWE envelopes. This doesn't seem like a makes a difference to the USPS and the financial costs for doing this quickly add up.

I hate to take a hard stance on this but short of stopping trading (or doing larger, bubble envelope trades), I have no other options. I'm spending too much time and money on postage to send replacement cards, when the issue arises, to make trading worth it.

Happy to do larger trades (30+ cards) in bubble envelopes.

What I'm collecting for:

1)I'm primarily an Upper Deck flagship hockey collector. I'm working on completing a few remaining base sets and then chasing Young Guns and insert cards.

2)I'm also collecting RC's (when possible) of all NBA/NHL/NFL/MLB players who have been inducted into their respective Hall of Fames. Also collecting non-players cards as well if they are in the HOF. Basically if the person is in the Hall of Fame for their sport, I'm hunting their RC or if it's a non-player, some type of card for them.

3)Finally, I'm collecting Baseball/Hockey and to a lesser extent, Football sets, of the 1970's/1980's.

Card condition:

If your cards look like they have been manhandled, I'm not interested in them for my collection. No creases, rounded corners or teeth marks.

Buying cards:

I've had several folks approach me about buying cards..I will rarely be interested in buying from someone and, odds are, I will reach out to you first..

Trade size:

Make it worth our time..

PWE packaging:

I am no longer using cardboard protection in my PWE trades. Historically, I've done 100's of trades with cards just in 9 pocket pages and then placed in envelopes and have had zero issues. After some issues I have seen lately with including cardboard in my PWE trades, I'm no longer spending the extra money, and time, just to have cardboard protection in an envelope.

Postage:

Please make sure you have proper postage on whatever you are sending me. Seems to be half the envelopes I get are short on postage. Minimal postage on a PWE envelope is $1.03.

Canada trades:

Has between 9 and 25 cards or less. I can't afford to send big trades unless there's additional cards/value to compensate. Trades less than 9 or so cards don't make a lot of sense either from a cost standpoint.

I'll stop collecting when i have one of everything

I collect mainly Baseball, Football, Hockey and just about anything else that catches my eye.  Mainly 60's through current

Logged in 100,000 cards on the site and only have 125,000 more to go . . . hope i live long enough to get finished.

I have to believe in reincarnation . . . .will probably take at least 2 lifetimes to organize my collection.

My Want List is sparce at the moment, but if you see anything that interests you from my trade list, drop me a line and i'll look at your trade list and I'm sure we can come up with some kind of trade.

Only interested in trading right now, but if you find something on my Sell/Trade list I might be willing to sell them.

Due to seemingly spending more time with the clerk at the post office than my wife, i will only be shipping on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
