hoping to complete base sets for all Topps Baseball from 1970 to present. also collecting 2019 - present Archives and update.

Currently focusing on completely: 1973 base set, 2023 WBC, 2019, 2020 & 2022 archives - 2020 turkey Red. I have Heritage on wants but that is filler for me -

Value & tradng philosophy: honestly I don't put a lot of effort into card values. I feel the cards I trade in are pretty low end. I use the TCDB values as a general guide and I understand the difference between vintage, wax and modern. Commons - HOF and inserts so I make trade offers accordingly. At the end of the day there's cards we want and cards we want to trade so let's make a deal. I'm open to any trade across years, base to parallel, inserts whatever!

I would appreciate a response if a make an offer, please let me know issues with trade offers- let's work it out.

im mostly interested in set building, so if you want an insert or parallel not on my sale list don't hesitate to make an offer.

Prefer: PWE 18 cards  or less. Basically I don't like dealing with post office workers. I will consider all offers, even bigger ones. I will respond to all offers and correspondence quickly unless traveling. I try to turn off trades if away for more than a few days.

Im pretty easy to deal with, I love trading and will work with you with any concerns.

   And  Goooooo Tigers!!!!!

Current status,  legend: Year - % complete

1970-15% 1971-22% 1972-7%  1973-72% 1974 thru 1978 1979-41% 1980-88% 1981 thru 2023

TRADES: For trades on single cards in the $5-10ish value and up, I'd really prefer to trade those for another single card of similar value, rather that into a bunch of base / commons / inserts from my wantlist. Always open to looking at any fair trade, but if possible, I'd kinda like to steer away from the 1 or 2 card base / insert trades. I'm afraid we'd be spending double on our stamps / envelopes than the cards are even worth.

COLLECTS: Cards #d 19/75 and #d 01/18, GarbagePail Kids, Aaron Judge, Mike Trout, Bo Jackson, Shohei Ohtani, Hank Aaron, Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player & Arnold Palmer. And, building sets 1969-Present.

Ramping up baseball collections, still collecting football as well.  Also looking to finish off some older wrestling collections as I find them.

Currently looking to finish off collections more than anything else.  Also will start a new collection on a whim.  As you can guess, this is a dangerous combination.  Also seeking out certain Ohio State alumni, will expand to my own alma mater (University of Toledo) once more of my collections are set up.

Open trader--ask away, and I'll probably be glad to work with you.

Back at full strength, inquire at will.

12/4/2023 - Updated my PC lists, so there will be a mass of Jackie Robinson, Roberto Clemente & Corbin Burnes cards available for sale/trade here soon.  As I mention below, my want list is quite narrow, so I am more than willing to sell cards if we don't match up for a trade.

Came across tcdb.com towards the end of 2019, and I have now completed over 1,500 transactions, with over 23,000 cards changing hands!  Love everything about this site.  I have met so many cool people from all over the Country, and even a few from Canada and beyond. (Just completed a trade to Finland, as a matter of fact).

Stole this from another member, but......my goal is to have zero cards in my For Sale/Trade List.  So keep the proposals comin'!

(I know my Want List is relatively small, so I am certainly willing to Sell cards if we don't have enough matches to work out a trade)

My PC list is as follows (with TCDB rankings as of 2/9/2024):

NBA: Giannis (4), Dirk Nowitzki (4), and Tim Duncan (2).

NFL: Sterling Sharpe (3), and Don Majkowski (2)

MLB: Robin Yount (7), Tony Gwynn (6), Hal Morris (3), Mark Grace (7), Pat Listach (1) and Mark Langston (1)

Golf: Rickie Fowler (2)  & Joel Dahmen (2)

WWE: Lita (3)

UFC: Conor McGregor (4)

Non-Sport: Eddie Vedder, Judah Friedlander, Big Jay Oakerson, The Brothers Osborne (TJ & John), Rob Riggle, Bert Kreischer, Tom Segura, Charlie Berens, Post Malone and Brody Stevens

Although I currently live in Florida, I was born in Milwaukee.....hence my obsession with Wisconsin sports teams.  Ha.

Please check out my For Sale/Trade list, and feel free to message me or send me trade proposals any time.....let's see what we can get done!  (I don't necessarily trade based on "book value", but rather the value to me, so please feel free to counter if I propose a trade that you feel is unfair.  I also have no rules about "insert for insert" or any of that nonsense, so don't be shy to shoot me a proposal)

Really would like to finish off the 2011 Topps and Topps Update Cognac Diamond Anniversary Dodger parallels.

--Autographed 1986 Topps Baseball cards-- I have been working on getting this set signed for about 2 years now. If you have any of them signed (either from signings or ttm) I would gladly trade for them if I need them. I have lots of ttm's from baseball, basketball, football and hockey for trade.

Also a huge collector of wrestling. Anything not in my collection I would probably be interested in.

have lots of Baseball, Basketball, Football, Gaming, Hockey, Non-Sport and Wrestling in my Trades. If you see something you want, shoot me a proposal.

Very interested in low end Dodger certified autos and relics. Most of these wants haven't even been added ti my want list yet.

Collect baseball Hall of Famers and notable players from the 70s/80s but am interested in all eras of baseball. I am not a set builder and enjoy helping people build sets. I will give a lot of commons for pretty much any cards on my wantlist so if you are looking to complete a set please ask for as many cards as you need. My collecting priorities are.

1. Players/cards from the 70's - early 80's. These are the players I grew up with and know the best.

2. Players/cards from before the 1970's. If I had an extra million $$ I would probably spend it on cards from this era because I have little to nothing to offer in trades for cards of this vintage.

3. Junk wax era cards, which I basically consider to be 1985 -1995 because that was when I was least interested in baseball.

4. Modern cards. I am just not interested in serial numbered cards, parallels, one-of-ones and all the other ways card companies manufacture scarcity to feed the business of collecting. With the exception of Topps Now cards. I love the idea of seeing something happen on the field and then ordering a card of it the next day. Current players I actively collect include, Zack Greinke, Joey Votto, Bartolo Colon, Andrew McCutchen, Max Scherzer, Roy Halladay, Ichiro Suzuki and Bryce Harper because he's is still the best thing the Phillies have going right now.

I try to be careful of condition. I note condition issues where I can but have not yet gotten to most of my traders. If not noted I will check with potential trade partners on anything that is worse than EX or EX-MT for newer cards. I also try to keep my lists accurate but have given up on ever getting it perfect. I apologize in advance if there is something on my trade list that I don't actually have.

All offers considered but prefer to trade like for like - i.e. modern for modern or vintage for vintage.

I prefer big trades (50+) to small trades but am happy for any and all offers. Shipping in PWE is fine with me.

Trading off for now, to do some more re-organizing.

Collect Henderson and Winfield; along with other HOFers. Also like to build base, subsets and team sets 1976-1989.

Mainly interested in 1976-1985 Topps Baseball sets / 1978-1983 Topps Football sets, / Basketball mid 70's - early 80's. Looking to also complete insert and subsets (League Leaders, etc.); Topps/Fleer Glossy All Star sets (84-90); Post cereal sets (1990-2002); and into the 7-11 Disc sets and other oddball stuff from mid-1970's - 1990 (Food issue sets, subsets, etc.). I would also like to complete 1991 Topps Archive (1953) & 2001 Topps Archive set.

Also looking to see how many 1987 Topps gum stain (on back) cards I can get - maybe compete a set although not sure all cards have gum stains.

CARD CONDITION: Looking for nice cards (sharp corners/nice centering; NrMt-Mint) for my collection and I will return the same. The majority of my cards on my For Sale/Trade list are NrMt or better (unless otherwise noted). Anything I have that is less than ExMt will be discussed before mailing.

Trading not top priority and may be more selective with trade offers. Condition is everything when trading.

May be willing to sell.

Diehard Yankee, Cowboy, and Supersonic fan

I LOVE TO TRADE!

    I LOVE TO TRADE!

I collect Chicago Cubs team sets. Currently I have base sets from 1951 - present (mostly Topps). Right now I'm collecting other brands and non-base sets. I love those junk wax era cards.

Prefer PWE trades!  But not a requirement.

Trades of any size are welcome!

I'm very easy to work with. I don't have any rules. So anything and everything is up for consideration.

I promptly respond to all offers.

I won't leave you hanging for days, even if it's just to let know I'm looking at it.

I'm a set collector.  I'm working on completing all of the Topps Baseball sets from the 1970s and '80s.  I've completed the '70, '73, '74, '76, '77, '78, and '79 sets, and I'm really close on '72.   I'm at varying stages of completion for the others.  I love trading!  I usually trade vintage for vintage and modern for modern, but I'm willing to consider anything reasonable.

Print code variations drive me crazy!  I know that some of you collect all of those variations, but I don't care about them.  Some of my cards are recorded with the correct variations, but others aren't.  If you care about the variations, I'm happy to verify that they are the ones you want - just let me know.

I've interacted with so many great people on this site, and I thank you all for that.  It's really fun to collect cards and to help you get the cards you want.

Red Sox (#8 on 8/3/23) and Hall of Famers (current and future!)

  • Set collecting: 1957, 1965, 1971 and 1972 Topps sets. I'll take anything in any condition if the trade is fair enough. I just like the design of the cards and I am hoping to accrue as many as I can before it gets too impossible to complete.
  • I am interested in any Red Sox card that I don't have. Exceptions to this are all the dot/no dot and/or letter variations from the nineties, as I only really need one version of those.
  • My cards listed for trade are at least NrMt unless otherwise noted. I try my best to grade cards using a few sources (Site 1Site 2, Site 3), but will let you know if there's a surprise when I pull the cards for trade.
  • Please let me know if there are any notable condition details with cards, especially if vintage. I will try to ask when proposing/considering a trade as well.
  • I try to trade pre-80s cards for other pre-80s cards if possible.
  • If a card is marked as an autograph (AU) with condition "Ex" on my For Trade/For Sale list, that means it's a hand-signed, through-the-mail (TTM) autograph. Open to any offers for these cards if you're interested!
  • I am willing to trade any non-Red Sox autograph in my "Other Autographs" collection for any comparable autograph of a Red Sox player that I do not have an instance of already.
  • I usually trade using a PWE (plain white envelope - thanks AnalogKid) for up to 27 cards, but let me know if you prefer a different way to send cards. If more than 27 cards, I either go with 2 PWEs or a bubble mailer.
  • If you see something on my For Trade list but we don't match up well, let me know. I'm sure I can try to make a swap happen!
  • This is a great site. Thank you for trading!

Note: '88 - '92 Donruss, '91 - '92 Stadium Club, and '92 Leaf variations on my FT/FS list are up to date.

COLLECTING

  • Sets: 1954-1968, 1977, 1997-2023 Topps Baseball sets, including updates. Here is my Topps Set Completion Status List
  • Teams: Baltimore Orioles, Washington Capitals, Baltimore Ravens, and a few Baltimore Colts.
  • Players: Cal Ripken Jr., Jim Palmer, Alexander Ovechkin, Dale Hunter, Chris Simon, and Olaf Kolzig.

TRADING

Overview

  • Trades only. I don't buy or sell cards on the TCDB.
  • U.S. TRADES ONLY. Shipping outside of the U.S. is expensive.
  • I have 50,300+ different cards listed for trade (I don't list multiples). Fair, base-for-base, trades are welcome, especially in bulk. As a set collector, there are a lot of base cards on my want list. Having a large number of base cards on my want list makes it difficult to line up one-for-one trades for requested inserts, stickers, or non-base cards, especially in bulk. If you're asking for inserts or non-base cards, please offer cards that are similar.
  • Let's communicate to make sure both parties have all cards available and in acceptable condition BEFORE either of us commits to hitting the "Accept" button. It's a mess trying to fix errors for damaged or missing cards after accepting.
  • I'd like to stay within the same decade for vintage trades: 50s for 50s, 60s for 60s, and 70s for 70s. For 80s and later cards, it's not as important. Also, I'm OK with trading across sports or for non-sport if you are.
  • I love to trade, but if I have more than 10 transactions going at once, I will momentarily turn off my incoming trade proposals to let the queue clear before turning it back on. I thank you for your patience and understanding.
  • If you are a team or player collector and we have a large trade going, please take into consideration that it will take me a longer amount of time to pull your cards spread out over many different boxes and locations, especially if variations are involved, as opposed to pulling cards all from the same set located in one box.

Condition and Variations

  • For trades involving pre-1980s cards, expect to exchange images of cards to verify condition. Everyone's standard varies on what is acceptable condition. Exchanging photos solves this so both of us can determine if the condition of the cards being exchanged is preferred by both parties.
  • For 50s-70s vintage cards coming my way, I'd prefer cards without tears, heavy scuffs, surface damage, writing, heavy creases breaking the surface, severely rounded corners, holes, wax stains, or part(s) of the card missing. Everything later than 1980 I'd expect to be near-mint or mint condition. Again, I'm open to exchanging images of cards to verify condition, especially for vintage cards.
  • If offering cards with dark borders such as 2001, 2002, 2003, or 2007 Topps cards, please ensure that they do not have surface damage from bricking (snow) or edge chipping. Thank you.
  • I make every effort to enter the correct variations. If you are a variation collector, please ask and I will verify that the variations are correct. For me, the only sets that I'm concerned about receiving the correct variations for are the 1981 Fleer, 1991 Topps, and 2012 Topps sets that I'm trying to complete master sets of.

Trade Sizes and Shipping

  • The bigger, the better! I'm trying to complete sets while helping you to complete yours, so large fair trades are welcome! My biggest single trade so far has been 3,509 cards: 2024 TCDB Site Award: Largest Trade. We can top that, right?
  • I use the Trade Matching feature often to propose large trades. If you're on the top of my match list, don't be surprised if you get a large trade offer from me. I'm trying knock out sets while helping you with yours.
  • For Plain White Envelope (PWE), I prefer to trade 15 or more cards to make it worth the postage unless the cards involved are of higher value or vintage cards.
  • 15 to 24 Cards: PWE, unless you prefer otherwise.
  • 25 to 48 Cards: Two PWEs (because getting TWO envelopes full of cards in the mailbox is better than getting only one!).
  • 49+ Cards: Team bags in a plastic bubble mailer, or a 200ct to 500ct card box. All larger trades will have a USPS tracking number sent to you in a transaction message.
  • I try to mail out as soon as possible. When work is crushing my soul, I will let you know my mailing is delayed. Apologies in advance.

Thank you for reading my profile and stopping by!

Love meeting collectors and making trades on TCDB!  If I have something on my For Sale/Trade list you are interested in, please feel free to send a note to see if we can work out a trade (or sale if the former doesn't work). Also, please note, I do my best to keep my lists up to date here, but sometimes I might miss an add or remove - I will always confirm I still own a card before we move far along in trade talks.
