Stopped building sets in 09 and now have stopped chasing SFGiants/49ers in 2019. But still have lots of wants. Due to a generous divorce court had to return to work, so trading is still important to me but now pulling and mailing can only be done on fridays and saturdays.

I collect just about anything related to the Baltimore Orioles.  My collecting passions include Orioles team issued postcards, team issued B&W 8x10 photos and programs.  I also collect items from the Orioles minor league affiliates from 1954- present, especially programs and team photos.

My Orioles card collection ranges from 1954 - present.  I really enjoy Orioles regional and oddball card sets.  I also collect minor league sets from O's affiliates.

Topps Regular and Heritage Baseball.  Anything Harmon Killebrew, Tony Oliva, and  Alonzo Powell.  Trading only. I am not very concerned about centering. Not interested in graded cards.  I like to trade for roughly equal value.

When I receive a trade proposal, I assume that the sender believes the offer to be a fair and balanced trade, and I make judgements accordingly.  Please do not send me trade offers where all you have done is copy what "Trade Matching" finds, or where you have nothing to offer from my want list.

I WILL NOT SHIP TO CANADA.

I've read a few people that their goal is to not have anything listed on their for trade list because everything has found a home with someone else.  It's an awesome ideal to have for this site!  I've got plenty of cards that I'll probably never list here though, because we don't need more base cards from the junk wax era listed.  If you're looking for something to complete a deal that I don't have listed just let me know and I can see what I have.

Here are the top things I'm collecting:

1. Set builder - I'm building a Topps set for each year from 1979 until now.  Most are completed, but there are gaps in some of the Traded/Update sets.  Donruss Diamond Kings from the 80s and 90s plus miscellaneous sets here and there.

2. Brewers team set builder - Most of the major sets since they began. Generally speaking, if I have parallels listed then it's high on my priority.  Non-listed parallels are great, but I generally don't list them unless I'm close to completing a set.  I'm not a huge collector of autograph or memorabilia cards, but they can be fun occasionally.

3. Rookies of people who have played for the Brewers in my lifetime - If he got into a game since 1979 then I want a rookie card of him.

Trades of any size are welcome!  If I'm proposing I usually like to limit to what can fit in a PWE (12-18), but bigger can be better!

I DON'T SO SMALL TRADES WITH VERY LITTLE VALUE. THE CARDS AREN'T WORTH THE COST OF SHIPPING TO ME.

UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED, I ASSUME PWE IS ACCEPTABLE FOR SMALL TRADES. THANKS!

Very active trader, always willing to discuss a deal.  I've had many successful tranactions already, and continually working on more!  I like trading/buying/selling. I have 10's of thousands of cards, they're just not all organzed as I buy large lots at a time. I plan on adding more cards weekly.

As far as what I collect, I focus primarily on the following players:

Barry Sanders, Charles Woodson, Tom Brady, Derek Jeter, Ty Cobb, Al Kaline, Larry Bird and then to a lesser extent, Grant Hill, Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Fab Five Wolverines, Alan Trammell, Lou Whitaker, Bo Jackson, Steve Yzerman, Nicklas Lidstrom and Michigan football and basketball alum.

I'm always willing to look at offers. Please be patient though, as I don't always respond quickly, but I will respond one way or the other.

***Please do not send trade offers that rely on prices from the site to establish fair value***

Thanks!

5 cards incoming is a minimum for trades, please! (Unless it's a higher-value card)

I am prioritizing my collecting on Nebraska Cornhuskers currently, so any trades for those former players are preferred.

Check out the results of the Ukraine trip here!

Declining trade offers with no message is of little use to the person initiating the trade, show some effort to those putting together trade offers and take a few seconds to note why the trade doesn't work in its current state. A few moments to communicate can lead to a deal getting done!

On the flip side, please stop sending me 1-4 card trades showing that you didn't read/ignored my top message in bold, respect for time goes both ways!

My Story 📖

     I got interested in sports cards in like the late 80s. I was already a huge football fan, growing up watching FSU (I lived outside of Jax, FL at the time). I then somehow zeroed in on collecting just Jerry Rice and Patrick Roy pretty quickly. I lived across the street from a mall and it had card shows all the time.

     My mom saw how much I enjoyed collecting and decided to join me. She was at all the card shows and shops with me after all. She collected Jordon (no idea why, she didnt even watch basketball), Nomo (cause she needed a Japanese pitcher), Mighty Ducks (cause she loved the movies), and Jax Jaguars (cause we lived near there). She has passed and most of her collection is listed For Trade/Sale.

     I got out of collecting in like 2001ish, adulting sucks. My passion has returned and I found this site! I'm looking forward to seeing the cards I add!

8/24/2023 - UPDATE: I've done quite a few sales following my prior note.  Thank you to all who sent proposals.  I am turning trading back on, but will definitely still consider selling to anyone who is interested.  Thank you!!

Came across tcdb.com towards the end of 2019, and I have now completed over 1,400 transactions, with over 22,000 cards changing hands!  Love everything about this site.  I have met so many cool people from all over the Country, and even a few from Canada and beyond. (Just completed a trade to Finland, as a matter of fact).

Stole this from another member, but......my goal is to have zero cards in my For Sale/Trade List.  So keep the proposals comin'!

(I know my Want List is relatively small, so I am certainly willing to Sell cards if we don't have enough matches to work out a trade)

My PC list is as follows (with TCDB rankings as of 9/28/2023):

NBA: Giannis (5), Dirk Nowitzki (4), and Tim Duncan (2).

NFL: Sterling Sharpe (3), and Don Majkowski (2)

MLB: Aaron Ashby (1), Roberto Clemente (1), Jackie Robinson (2), Robin Yount (8), Tony Gwynn (6), Hal Morris (3), Mark Grace (7), Ethan Small (1), Pat Listach (1), Corbin Burnes (1) and Mark Langston (1)

WWE: Lita (4)

UFC: Conor McGregor (4)

Non-Sport: Eddie Vedder, Judah Friedlander, Big Jay Oakerson, The Brothers Osborne (TJ & John), Rob Riggle, Bert Kreischer, Tom Segura, Charlie Berens, Post Malone and Brody Stevens

Although I currently live in Florida, I was born in Milwaukee.....hence my obsession with Wisconsin sports teams.  Ha.

Please check out my For Sale/Trade list, and feel free to message me or send me trade proposals any time.....let's see what we can get done!  (I don't necessarily trade based on "book value", but rather the value to me, so please feel free to counter if I propose a trade that you feel is unfair.  I also have no rules about "insert for insert" or any of that nonsense, so don't be shy to shoot me a proposal)

Thank you for your interest in my profile!

My name is Jack and I'm a 40-something collector in southern NJ. I live in the greater Atlantic City area and am a lifelong supporter of Philadelphia sports franchises. I stepped away from the hobby for almost 30 years, until my oldest son reignited my passion & interest in mid-2023. Cards, collectibles, and antiques are now full-time hobbies across our household.

My personal collection of cards & memorabilia from childhood is mainly baseball. Go Phils! I'm looking to complete Junk Wax-era baseball sets, mainly through on-the-cheap set purchases, but I'm also looking to invest more substantially in recent Topps and Bowman releases (i.e., from 2021 onwards).

My recent set-building activities have been focused on oddball and non-sport; I'm especially interested in anything licensed from Marvel Comics, Star Wars, or generally related to film/pop culture of its era. I'm a child of the 80's and 90's, so I have a soft spot for anything released from 1980 to roughly 1998.

Generally my cards that are for sale/trade after 1977 are in excellent and up condition and before 1977 are of a lower grade. I can always clarify if there is a specific card you want to trade for.

📌 Open to selling cards

I tend to collect cards of the 90s, all sports and non-sport, which is owed just as much to the designs and finish of the cards of that time as it is nostalgia for the players and teams of the era.

Condition: I don’t think anybody out there has all mint cards, but if there is a card in your trade list only because it is too rough for you, consider that others may feel the same about owning said card and let them know what issue/s it has.

Hut Stricklin and Tom Peck racing cards and memorabilia; Hooters Girl/Playmate Lynne Austin cards; and Magic the Gathering Vizzerdrix cards, especially in foreign languages.

A Note regarding my FS/FT list: most of myBaseball  "junk era" sets were initially entered prior to the various new variations added since mid-2020, such as Inc/Inc., */**, etc. The system places everything under variation "A" by default, and though I've tried to update everything there are probably a couple of set I've not sorted yet; just ask if want me to check a specific card or set. I have revised my FS/FT list for 1991 Topps; the listed versions are correct for that set, and the cards showing a grade (usually NRMNT) are those with normal backs. The glow-back cards are those listed without grades.

Regarding trades in general, I'm happy to ship and receive by whatever method you prefer from PWE to insured with tracking so long as it makes sense from both ends. Also, I know I have substantially more on my FS/FT list than my Wantlist, but I'm open to other offers if I have something you need. Everything on my FS/FT list is just waiting to be turned into something I collect and I don't mind if it takes multiple steps to reach that end. Here's my general preference for trades:

1. Obviously, anything on my Wantlist;

2. Anything on your FS/FT list that matches the Wantlist of another member who has someting on my Wantlist (which is any Hut Stricklin, Tom Peck, Lynne Austin, or Vizzerdrix card, even if they don't show up; I don't always remember to add things back to the Wantlist after I get them in a trade, but I'm always looking for dupes);

3. Other Racing cards that have at least as many people looking for them than there are listed as FS/FT;

4. Baseball cards that have at least as many people looking for them than there are listed as FS/FT;

5. All other cards that have at least as many people looking for them than there are listed as FS/FT; and

6. I'll consider anything else; coins, cds, dvds, books, memorabilia, fossils, whatever--make me an offer.

Let's make a deal.

Hey everybody, Jeremy here.

Big time Husker fan as I've grown up and lived in Nebraska my entire life. I'm an alum and will cheer for any sport.

Been a card collector since a wee child. Took a 15 year hiatus in college and post-college and getting back into it collecting my childhood favorites. Boy have things changed! I'll dabble in some new cards, thus, I have newer cards for trade as well.

My goal: is to help you complete your sets and/or collect your favorite players or teams. I only have 1-5% of my collection logged into TCDB thus far, so most likely have many more in your want list then what appears. I'm very open and actually prefer trading 100-400 cards for 5-15 cards in return. I understand a number of my want list includes potentially "higher" priced cards ($1-$20+), so if I need to trade 1:10 or 1:20 if you're open to that, I am as well and will ship accordingly. As stated above, I love helping others complete sets as I have a TON of doubles and commons.

I will always send PWE, unless the trade is over 25+ cards, then use a padded envelope.

I enjoy collecting: (ranking week of 10/16 ---> 10/23)
Shaquille O'Neal (#26 ---> #26) (4.0% Complete)
* Ken Griffey Jr. (#42 ---> #42) (3.5% Complete)
* Dan Marino (#16 ---> #17) (4.4% Complete)
* Kobe Bryant (#35 ---> #34) (1.4% Complete)
* Michael Jordan (#137 ---> #137) (2.5% Complete)
* Lebron James (#32 ---> #32) (0.7% Complete)
* Alex Rodriguez (#43 ---> #43) (1.3% Complete)
* Ricky Williams (#9 ---> #9) (4.3% Complete)

Would love to eventually be in the Top 100, even Top 50 in all the above at some point in time.

Always open to fair offers and selling any cards in my FS/FT list, as I have a BUNCH of cards I'm looking to purge as well. As I continue to get back into it, I may grow my wants/needs in completing sets, etc. I accept cards in all conditions, they don't have to be perfect.

Appreciate all considerations and will try to communicate if a card isn't in "gem mint" condition as well, as I do have some that aren't, as I actually traded cards waaaayyyyy before TCDB came along!

Yes, I am one of those fools trying to finish the VAR master sets from the late-80s/early-90s. If you see a mass want from that set I'd prefer to purchase a large lot/full set (even that means taking on dupes for myself) rather than trade for onsies and twosies (though funnily enough I have PC’s that fall into this boat).

Priority collection projects:

1) Finishing 80s and 90s baseball inserts moving into the new century

2) Vintage, all sports

3) Finishing off hockey sets and inserts

4) Finishing off football sets and inserts

5) Extensive PC lowest priority

I WILL buy. I will NOT buy if you insist on pandemic pricing.

***FOR PROPOSED TRADES***

1. I WILL trade to my friends up north; always have, always will.

2. I WILL NOT trade cards out of my collection, FS/T only. If it’s in my collection, it’s because I want to keep it to meet my goals (whether I get there or not is a different story 😊)

3. I’m continuously updating my FS/T list as I have several large lots I am sorting through and adding here.

4. The nature of my work means I can work odd hours at times. It may take me several days before I get to your request. I know this is usually an understood condition for traders on here, but I just want to put it out there now especially for those I have yet to trade with.

5. I take trades first-come, first-serve style so a requested card may already be accounted for in another trade. I put this one out there because I have times where I was balancing 5-10 trades and have run into this.

6. I’m always open to counteroffers so please be flexible yourself.

7. I’m open to anything from small PWE to large lots.

8. I will trade across sports (baseball for football, etc.) so a trade doesn't have to revolve around one sport or even numbers.

9. For trades up to 20-30 cards, I try to ship PWE. I have successfully used multiple PWE's for larger trades also. Bubble mailers will be used for more valuable cards.

I always look for equal value in trades. I do not use Beckett nor this site for price comparison. I use 3rd party sites to gage values as they can indicate more real-world sales/selling prices. With that said I will NOT do pandemic pricing. So much stuff out there is artificially inflated right now and I will not “overpay” for an item. I don’t have hard ratios as to what I will trade (1 HOF = 5 commons, etc.). I know what I paid and can research value; just want fair value in return. This also means I’m open to off-balance trades where one of us get more cards than the other. Again, it’s about making both sides happy.

For any vintage on my FS/T list I tried to be accurate as possible on condition. I can send pictures of any vintage upon request. I will trade for vintage, but I am a stickler for condition. I’m aiming for NM on my vintage sets. If you are going to send me anything from the modern era, I would expect NM or better. One would think that's a no-brainer, but you'd be surprised on how disappointed one can get...

***NON-TRADING MEMBERS***

I'll sell any cards on my for sale/trade list for a fair and reasonable price plus enough to cover shipping. I'm not in this to make a profit, but to help fellow collectors meet their goals. I am open to buying, but again, will not do pandemic pricing.

Hello!  I bought my first packs in 1973 and found a card of my favorite player Mickey Lolich.  I was hooked and started building sets each summer.  Took a few years off now and then but always found my way back.

PC baseball set builds I'm enjoying right now:

  • 1959 Topps  500/572   87%
  • 1960 Topps  402/572   70%
  • 1964 Topps  Giants  25/60   41%
  • 1965 Topps   160/598   26%
  • 1966 Topps   587/598   98%
  • 1970 Kellogg's  69/75   92%
  • 1971 Kellogg's  52/75   69%
  • 1972 Kellogg's  53/54   98%
  • 1972 Kellogg's ATG  12/15   80%
  • 1973 Topps Checklists   3/24   12%
  • 1971/72 Topps Hockey   131/132    99%
  • 1972/73 Topps Hockey   172/176    97%
  • Plus many more sets on my want list...

I love trading so please don't hesitate to initiate a transaction.  Not much of a seller, really prefer to trade.

Trading Guidelines:  1)  Looking for EX or better in 1967 and earlier, need NRMT or better in anything newer as these are likely upgrades.  2)  I'm open to trades of all size, from 1 card to 1,000+.  3)  The number of HOF/Superstars and key rookies should be fair, not looking to trade my HOFs for commons.  4)  I try to accurately identify variations but check with me if you seek a specific version of a card.  5)  Condition of cards:  1979 & newer are mostly NRMT, 1978 and earlier include childhood cards and vary in condition.  I am in the process of entering grades for all cards in these years.  Feel free to ask about specific cards.  I always pull cards before accepting a trade and will inform you of any condition exceptions.

🇨🇦 I Welcome trades from my friends in Canada 🇨🇦

P.S., I still have the original Lolich card from the summer of '73 and that dupe is not for trade.

Now the #1 collector of Ryan Klesko cards on TCDB!  With more to come!

PC:

High priority: Ryan Klesko, Dale Murphy, Dave Winfield, Dominique Wilkins, Kenyon Yovan, Michael Conforto, Adley Rutschman, Nick Madrigal, Trevor Larnach, Steven Kwan, Cadyn Grenier, Drew Rasmussen, Gary Payton II, Jacob Melton, Will Frisch, Cooper Hjerpe, Justin Boyd, Nahshon or Rezjohn Wright, Terry Baker, Christian Chamberlain, Gary Payton, Ethan Thompson, Darwin Barney, Jake Luton, Jermar Jefferson, Hamilcar Rashed Jr, Luke Musgrave, A.C Green "In the Name" cards, Jade Carey.

Lower priority: Junior Seau, some Bo Jackson, Eric Lindros, Jordan Poyer, Mike Hass, TJ Houshmandzadeh, Jacoby Ellsbury, Steven Jackson, Nick Barnett, Matt Moore, Ochocinco/Chad Johnson, Sean Mannion, Johnny Hekker, Sam Gaviglio, any Oregon State alum/player in any sport (male or female).

PLEASE SEND TRADE OFFERS.  It's my favorite part of the hobby.  Always willing to negotiate a good deal for both sides.  One card, or 10+ cards.  I'm fine with any size.  USA & Canada only, unless the card is significant enough to me to ship overseas.

I do NOT collect/keep any other cards of any other players/teams.  If the card isn't a unique card to me of one of my guys above, it's not something I will keep.  I don't want duplicates either.  I'll trade it or sell it if it's something I think I can move; otherwise, no thanks.  But I DO want any card of any of my PC guys if I don't already have it.  My trade/sell and want/wish lists are updated, so if it's not on those lists, it's highly unlikely that I'm interested in it, or I already own it.

Fan of: all OSU sports, Braves, Red Sox, Blazers, Chargers, Flyers, Timbers, Tottenham FC.

Goal for VINTAGE ONLY CARDS (condition NOT very important...just no rips/tears, no writing on the front...some creases ok): Hank Aaron (preferably in a Milwaukie uniform, but not required), Mickey Mantle pre-1969 (earlier the better), Babe Ruth any vintage year, Joe DiMaggio any year, Lou Gehrig any year, Ted Williams pre-1955, Jackie Robinson any year, Shoeless Joe any year, Jimmie Foxx any year, Satchel Paige any year, and Stan Musial pre-1960.  For basketball, would like a Alcindor while in Milwaukie, early Doctor J, Oscar, early Magic/Bird, Bill Russell, Wilt, David Thompson, Cousy, Mikan, Moses & maybe a couple others.  Prefer to stay as cheap as possible, but for the right card might go a little higher...obviously Mantle/Ruth/Joe D/Wilt and those types would be more.  Again, condition I know won't be great at these prices.  I now have a Hank, Mantle, Jackie, Clemente, Bob Gibson, Ernie Banks, Sandy Koufax, Mays, Jerry West, Maravich and Gervin at these levels, and a couple of Ted Williams, that I'm very happy with.  But the more the merrier if the price is right!

  • I will typically send cards via PWE unless the quantity is above 20 and then I will send BMWT.  If you wish a smaller trade to be sent BMWT, please let me know & adjust the trade accordingly.

VERY willing to trade/negotiate.  I live to  trade...send me ALL trade requests!  Would prefer trades to purchases, although I know my PC is pretty limited in the grand scheme of things.  Just got back to the hobby in 2020 after approx 30 years out of it, and about 20 years after selling off 99% of it to pay for our wedding.  I forgot how much I loved it!

I have enjoyed this website for a nearly a decade and will continue to use it to manage my collection.  However, I have shut off trading for the following reasons.

1) Shipping is either too expensive or too time consuming.  The USPS refuses to follow their own guidelines and insists on charging $4-$5 dollars for packages that should be considered large envelopes.  In order to get around these charges, I am forced to spend too much time creating protective packaging to shove in a #10 envelope.  No thanks.

2) In the past couple years I have had several absurd and/or lopsided trade offers.  It's easy to decline, but a few traders just keep sending their garbage offers.

3)  Too much time required to pull cards for large PC trades.  I like large trades, but pulling trade offers that span 80 different sets can take several hours.  Again, no thanks.

4)  Actualy had a couple traders respond regarding the quality of the cards they received.  We're not talking about physical condition, they are actually complaining about the print quality, centering or "snowy" cards.  This was the perverbial straw that broke the camel's back.  I have gone to the extreme and provided condition for vintage cards in my collection.  In addition, I carefully inspect and throw away junkwax and newer cards that are not in NM or better condition.  I am rewarded for these efforts with dorks taking a magnifying glass to their cards and actually wasting my time with their findings.

Now if you have read this far and want to trade me, I will consider, but they must be BIG trades of 100 cards or more.  If interested, please send me a message and I will open trading.

Thanks for understanding - Mark

    I LOVE TO TRADE!

I collect Chicago Cubs team sets. Currently I have base sets from 1951 - present (mostly Topps). Right now I'm collecting other brands and non-base sets. I love those junk wax era cards.

Prefer PWE trades!  But not a requirement.

Trades of any size are welcome!

I'm very easy to work with. I don't have any rules. So anything and everything is up for consideration.

I promptly respond to all offers.

I won't leave you hanging for days, even if it's just to let know I'm looking at it.

I am selling my mostly-Mets collection due to Parkinson's Disease. Every card price is negotiable, and fairly substantial discounts will apply. Make me an offer!

I prefer selling, but I will entertain good trade offers as well.  I reserve the right to occasionally reject offers that you make, just due to the exhaustion and ennui that accompany Parkinson's.  I am also open to offers for my whole collection, including some pretty interesting pieces of Mets memorabilia that there's no way to list on TCDb, for any of you out there who still have more money than good sense.

In fact, I am willing to give my entire collection away for virtually nothing, if you are willing to come and take it all away.

NOTE: If you order any 1990s-era cards, and you care how many asterisks or periods are shown on the back, let me know at the time of quote, and I will decide whether or not to check, mostly based on the size of your request.

Player collections of: Eduardo Perez, Garret Anderson, Alex Rodriguez, Ted Williams, Jim Rice, Dustin Pedroia and Andrew McCutchen

2022 represents an anniversary of collecting trading cards for 70 years. I spent 50 years as a set builder of baseball cards, but now I just collect cards of the above players with an occasional small set collection. At one time, I had an collection of complete sets of Topps and Bowman baseball cards (plus others) from 1954 forward plus quite a few cards from the 1952 Topps & 1953 Topps and Bowman sets. During the late 1980s and early 1990s I sold off the majority of those sets but still continued completing sets until 2002.

I've been trading online since 1994 and welcome any trade offers.  If I offer a trade, the cards normally have already been pulled prior to an acceptance, counter or decline. It is not a problem for me to re-file or exchange cards in a trade if needed.  I do keep records of my trading with my partners addresses and occasionally recheck those traders for future trades or sometimes just send along a PIF (pay it forward).  My one major disappointment with this site is that I did not find it many years before I did.  I will usually mail cards out promptly with tracking, however lately I have used PWEs for relatively small value trades.  Saying this, I welcome trade offers.  I do not expect to ever wind up with compete collections of any of the players I collect, nor do I want to.  I try to just enjoy my collecting habit and strive to make new friends in the hobby!

Last but not least, I do not sell cards, trades only.

My "wants" for my Cardinals collection is accurate from 1900 - 2008.  I still have about 12,000Plus Cardinals cards from 2009-present to sort through and enter.  Please do not offer any Cardinals cards from 2009-present unless you contact me first as there is a chance I already have it amongst the multitude to still go through.

I still have about 30K Cardinals duplicates that are not yet enterred in the database as FS/FT.

My collecting started in the 1950's and has grown through many ups and downs.  I became discouraged in 1980 when all the card manufacturing companies started creating numerous sets and subsets with so many variations.  The New York Yankees have been my collecting interest.  As a young boy, it was my goal to collect every card issued for a Yankee player.  Much like my stamp collection that I inherited from my grandfather, I knew that some items would be out of my price range yet never was there a time when the volume of the collection became a question.

When I attempted to pick up my sports card collection in the 1990's, I was struck by the people who were speculators in the sports card buying side of the collecting.  Those who stop in a card shop, purchased a hobby box manufacturer's brand, opened the packages, removed only the cards listing in the Beckett monthly pricing magazine as value cards, and left the remaining cards on the counter.

Recently, returning to all the sports cards I have accumulated over the years, I discovered a yearning to reduce my collecting to an enjoyable level and try to do something with all the other cards.  Searching the internet lead me to Trading Card Database.  I signed into the program and was very pleasantly surprised by the database.  I am a new user of the database and still learning.

My collecting interests are as follows:
Baseball: New York Yankees - Topps base set {all years}
Football: Jacksonville Jaguars - Cards of all manufacturing brands {1995 thru present}

I will consider trades for cards of either team.

Thank you for viewing my profile and hope we can create a trade!!!

I'm a set builder - Topps Regular from 1960 to present. I also sell my duplicates on eBay but would prefer to trade to fill out my want list. I prefer cards in excellent or greater condition (no creases, stains, rounded corners, etc.).

My goal is to obtain cards to build out my sets for the enjoyment of collecting and I plan to pass my collection to my son. I'm a Yankees fan living in Texas and long-time season ticket holder for the Round Rock Express, currently the Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. I also occasionally enjoy attending Astro's games.

I like to be as responsive as possible in trading.  Cards for accepted trades will be mailed out within 1-2 business days. I always leave feedback and appreciate the same from trading partners.

Like a lot of others here, I collected for my childhood and teen years, and then took a decades-long break. In my late 40s, got re-engaged with the hobby by doing the only reasonable thing -- buying a small boatload of cards in bulk and sorting through them. Sport by sport, year by year. It gave me a pretty good sense for what I'd missed & what I like.

The answer turned out to be a little bit of everything, and especially 70s-90s basketball. Also parallel sets in particular, even though I thought they were gimmicky back when they started to show up way back. (Funny how that works out.)

This site's a great resource -- looking forward to participating in & supporting it.

Update 08/10/23: turning trading off for a few months to get through a wave of work.

Trading: A minimum of 12 cards going each way unless there is a true gem / vintage in the trade. PWE acceptable but prefer large trades of 250+ cards in each direction. Please confirm that you actually have the cards before Accepting a trade; I always do the same at this end. Vintage for vintage; HoF/stars for same; inserts / parallels for same, all as much as possible. Priority are vintage, OPC and sets on my UserLists. Having tried to offer cards from these lists will increase the chances of my Accepting a trade; totally disregarding these and offering me 12+ commons from a set that I am so far from completing that they do not make the list is more prone to being Declined, especially if I see you have cards for trade that are on my lists.

------------------------------

Stats: As of 31 December 2022:

Wants OPC Baseball: base sets 1965-1994 + 1981 Grey Backs and 1990 white stock test issue parallel - 344/13,896 cards (2.48%).

Wants Topps Baseball: base sets 1951-2022 + 1952 Black backs, 1954 Canadian, 1975 mini parallel, 1993 & 1994 Gold parallel - 3,139/48,529 (6.47%). Breakdown by decade: 1951-60 - 1,191/3,816 (31.21%); 1961-70 - 1,041/6,135 (16.97%); 1971-80 - 408/7,721 (5.28%); 1981-90 - Complete; 1991-2000 - 70/7,856 (0.89%); 2001-10 - 148/6,986 (2.12%); 2011-20 - 3/6,841 (0.04%); 2021-22 - 278/1,320 (21.06%).

Trading/PIF/Purchases on TCDb:

2022 - 231 + 7 still In-Progress; Cards Sent - 13,922 / Cards Received - 13,530

Total since being a member: Cards Sent - 72,236 / Cards Received - 63,682 (# of trades really doesn't matter to me as it can be misleading to the quantity of cards have come and gone).

Sets completed through Trades/PIF/Purchases in 2022 - 85 sets including 38 base sets.

---------------------------------

2023 Goals:

1. Re-organize my Oddball / Food Issue Baseball sets. First attempt February 4. Will see how that works.

2. Reduce OPC base set needs to less than 300.

3. Reduce Topps base set needs to less than 2,700 (including the 2023 base set issue). By decade, 1950s to less than 1,000; 1960s to less than 900; 1970s to less than 300.

4. Trade over 10,000 cards going each way.

5. Complete 75 base / insert / parallel / oddball sets.

Largely Non-Sports card.  I would like to complete my MAD Magazine card collection.  Comic Book cards are also a favorite.

I am keeping an eye out for unopened wax packs or unopened box of wax packs of the following:

  • Movies & TV shows from the 1980s
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT)
  • Napoleon Dynamite

I am helping a friend out who owns/operates a toy store and he’s always trying to get wax packs of the above to distribute in his store.

TRADING

Overview

  • I love to trade, but if I have more than 10 trade transactions going at once, I will momentarily turn off my incoming trade proposals to let the trade queue clear out before turning it back on. I don't have the time between family and work to fulfill that many trades at once, especially large trades, and also enjoy this hobby. I thank you for your patience and understanding.
  • I have 32,600+ cards listed to trade (I don't list multiples). As a Topps set collector, fair bulk trades are welcome.
  • I prefer to trade with fellow team collectors and/or set builders to help out their sets. Common for common cards. As a team collector and set builder, there are way too many common cards on my want list making it difficult to line up a one-for-one trade for inserts, hall of famers, etc... in exchange for commons. Nothing against hall of famer, insert, or investment traders, but our interests don't line up easily to make fair one-for-one card trades.
  • I look at the red/green numbers as a contributor to "value". High red/low green numbers mean the card is in high demand. Low red/high green numbers mean the card can easily be obtained by traders on here. There are many cards on my for-trade list where I'm the only active trader offering them (cards typically asked for are the Fleer stickers, Drakes cards, and other inserts). Take the red/green numbers into account when proposing your trade. I could really care less what the price on here says or that those high red/low green numbered cards were abundant during the 80s. If they are hard to get on here, that means something.
  • I'd like to stay within the same decade for vintage trades, 50s for 50s, 60s for 60s, and 70s for 70s. For 80s and later cards, it's not as important. For example, I'd like to trade away my 1970s cards to complete my 1977 Topps set.
  • Let's communicate to make sure both parties have all of our cards available and in acceptable condition BEFORE either of us commits and hits the "Accept" button.

Grading, Condition, and Variations

  • All pre-1970s cards in my for-trade list have a grade assigned regardless of condition. Post-1970s cards will have a grade assigned only if there is something drastically wrong with the card (way off-center, fuzzy corners, crease, wax stain, spots, etc...). I'll report all flaws after pulling cards and before accepting an incoming proposal from you. I'm open to sharing photos of cards if requested. Photos are preferred for vintage trades. I grade based on the PSA standards located here: https://www.psacard.com/resources/gradingstandards.
  • For 50s-60s vintage cards coming my way, I'm OK with cards having slight wear. However, I'm not interested in cards with tears, heavy scuffs with surface damage, writing, heavy creases breaking the surface, severely rounded corners, holes, wax stains, or part(s) of the card missing. Everything later than 1980, I'd expect to be near mint or mint condition. Again, I'm open to exchanging images of cards to verify condition, especially for vintage cards.
  • I make every effort to select the correct card variations within the database. If you are a variation collector, please ask and I will double-check that the variations are correct for you. I wear reading glasses and can make mistakes on those "dot-no-dot" cards. For me, the only sets that I'm concerned about receiving the correct variations for are the 1981 Fleer and the 1991 Topps sets that I'm trying to complete master sets of.

Trade Sizes and Shipping

  • To make a trade worth the postage, I'd like to stick to trades of more than 15 cards going each way unless the cards involved are higher than common in value or vintage cards.
  • 24 Cards or Less: Plain White Envelope (PWE), unless you prefer otherwise.
  • 25 to 48 Cards: Two PWEs (because getting TWO envelopes full of cards in the mailbox is better than one!).
  • 48+ Cards: Team bags in a plastic bubble mailer, or a 200ct to 500ct card box. All larger trades will come with a USPS tracking number shared with you in a transaction message.
  • Work pending, I try to mail out as soon as possible. When work is crushing my soul, I will let you know mailing is delayed. Apologies in advance.
  • U.S. trades only, with the exception of PWEs to Canada. Shipping large trades outside of the U.S. is too expensive.

Thank you for reading my profile and stopping by!

HAPPY COLLECTING!

  Let's say we match on 100 cards. There are a fair amount of stars, commons, high value stuff. It can be definitely time consuming to add for both sides. Add what you are looking for from me and add 1 or more cards from your side and send it over to me. I can fill in the blanks to make that trade work for me. If you want to counter the trade feel free to do that so it works for you. I would hope for a fair amount of give and take dealing with common and star cards. Commons arent very valuable to me going to or coming from me. Just saying. If we can do a larger trade for more cards why wouldnt we?  This may not be everyone's ideal way to trade but I figure we get a lot more accomplished that way. if you want to do all commons on one end and all stars on another let's do that. Thanks.

AGAIN: I don't value common cards very highly whether they are mine or yours. you give me 20 i will give you 20.    I will counter 90 % of the time.  I'm a set collector working on sets. Volume trades are always welcome

I have decided to ship only 1 day a week because it's easier for me. single card trades will be the same day.

I TRADE A LOT ON HERE AND SOMETIMES I END UP TRADING CARDS THAT I DONT OWN ANY MORE. IF THIS HAPPENS I WILL LET YOU KNOW SO I CAN REPLACE IT. IF I DONT RECEIVE A RESPONSE IN 4 DAYS I WILL SEND YOU RANDOMS ON YOUR WANTLIST TO COMPENSATE AND THAT'S IT

BIG SHOUT OUT TO MY FELLOW TRADERS WHO CONTINUE TO BE FAIR, CONSISTENT AND UNDERSTANDING. YOU ALL MAKE MY EXPERIENCE HERE GREAT.

I missed the forum post about bobscardz and his banishment. I would have voted NO because he hasn't even tried to send me my end of the cards he got from me. He marked it as problem and never fixed it ever since he left his UNWARRANTED negative against me. He is a spiteful, hateful internet scammer as far as I can see. I am not perfect but I make up for my mistakes. my 2 cents.

looking to complete a few sets via trades on here. willing to sell also.

Please do not offer me a base card for a $5 insert. I use sold comps from ebay and 130point as values, not becket or this site's pricing.

prefer to trade base for base, equal value insert for insert. sometimes I will trade low end inserts 1 for 3 base depending on set.

if you are looking to trade inserts for my base and you are making the offer I am fine with that.

90's Baseball is the best era of baseball I have lived through, period!!

Thanks for reading my profile. I enjoy trading cards I don't need for those that I do. I've been in this hobby for many years (I remember opening 1955 Bowman packs at our local candy store)! I usually don't pull my end before making a proposal; most times, I'm trying to get a feel for how doable it is, and it saves me from having to refile cards if things fizzle out or if I'm countered.  I will, however, (usually) pull before accepting a trade.  Please counter, if need be!  Communication is key to good trading!   I have some physical limitations..it may take me a bit to pull cards so your patience is appreciated!

1.  My top priority is completing sets.

2.  Recent Phillies teamsets and inserts.  I do multiple teamsets to help local Philthies Phans!

3. Older Phillies teamset needs..all brands.

As mentioned, I love to trade, will reluctantly sell ... cheap, if we cannot swap!  PLMK what I have that you can't live without!  Phillies is my team, through thick and (mostly) thin!  PWE trades are great and assumed unless we agree otherwise - bubbles used if worth the shipping costs!  Slowing down though - the old body won't let me hoss those 5000 count boxes too much - thanks in advance for your patience with me!!

Matt Williams (#1 TCDB)

Still in the long process of uploading my current collection of baseball cards.

Just listing some 1998 Topps Tek. You can make me an offer if you're interested but I'll be honest, due to the complete absurdity that people charge for commons in this set, I will probably only be willing to trade for patterns I'm missing of Matt Williams.

New to the site since 1/25/23 after a 20-year break in collecting and have just completed 100 trades on 4/21/23!
