A little bit of everything. Grew up in the junk wax era and collected into the early 2000s. Have randomly picked up clearance packs here and there since then. Cleaned out my parents basement and finally uploaded my entire collection. Recently realized I enjoy the gambling of ripping open packs/boxes and the thrill of the hit.

Current goals are buying 90s hobby boxes that I couldn't afford as a kid and ripping for the nostalgia and the fun of it, then possibly trading to fill in the empty spaces (Not buying factory sets for the most part).

Want to start trading again: Heads up for any potential trade partners. Most of the cards I own from the late 80s and early 90s are from when I was a kid. Most cards were kept in monster boxes all those years but if you are looking for common cards from that era there is a good shot they won't be mint. I was a kid! I have gotten rid of all the creased ones but there may be soft white/corners on some of them. It is what it is. Anything relatively modern was freshly pack pulled so are all in nm or better. Will pull all cards and inspect before sending them.

Collect baseball/basketball/football and concentrating on filling some sets first.

Michael Jordan: My favorite player of all time. While I have some on my FS/FT list its going to take other Jordans or more than their worth to get them in a deal.

Hockey: Picked up a bunch in a collection on FB and don't collect hockey so willing to trade in bulk for things that I really want. Again most are commons so good for set collectors just trying to fill in blanks. Anything of value should be in great condition but will let you know if there is an issue.

What I'm looking for: No creases, no writing, no rips, that's really it. I also have very few late 90s-early 2000s cards for trade so no I don't want to trade them for junk wax era. I will however trade ultra modern for 80s and 90s as these are almost as mass produced at this point.

New personal rule: If I offer a trade and it's ignored/not acknowledged in 4 days I will withdraw the offer. I'd rather you straight up decline me with no message.  It does not need to be accepted or pulled within that time frame, but there needs to be at least an acknowledgment that it has been received and being mulled over. I get in trading moods and want to start firing out trades but cards get tied up in offers just sitting there. No hard feelings.

US/Canada Only right now.

Trying to collect all 290ish Lavoy Allen cards.

NOTICE: I've decided to make a slight change my trading approach.   I really don't have any interest in doing these large "player collection" trades anymore.  I'm a set collector and all my traders are stored by set (in nearly 100 3,200 count boxes).  It sometimes takes me hours to pull cards where someone is only looking for certain players.  What's worse, I recently had a guy screw me on a trade after I pulled 120 random cards.   Going forward, I will be rejecting these types of trades.  I'm looking to help people complete their sets and vice versa.  Sorry, but I hope you understand.  Craig

I’ve been collecting cards for over 47 years and have over 503,000 unique cards in my main collection, including some nice vintage stuff.  I collect older cards of the four major sports but lately I've been expanding to some more recent sets.  I'm primarily a Set Builder and I’m looking for other like-minded set builders to trade with.   I’ve accumulated tons of extra cards that I would like to trade away with almost 250,000 cards in my current For Trade list.  Big trades don't bother me. I have a huge Want List, so hopefully you have something I need.  Feel free to make me an offer.

For Canadian Traders: It's expensive for me to trade across the border.  Going forward I would like to limit cross border trades to two (2) PWEs. That's about 54 standard-size cards.  Thanks.

For Anyone Outside US/Canada: The increased postal rates have made it impossible for me to trade outside North America cheaply.  So going forward I will have to decline trades from outside US/Canada.  Sorry about that.

Update on Donruss/Leaf * Variations and Upper Deck Holo Variations:
I can't guaranty the junk wax era Donruss/Leaf cards and the UD holo variations are listed with the correct variation.  Going forward I will no longer check the variations on these cards.  If you want these cards regardless of the variations, feel free to request them in the trade.  However, If you want a specific variation of these cards, I'm no longer your guy - please don't put them in the trade request.  For all other cards that have variations, I will continue to check and make sure you get the correct one.

Note on Vintage Cards:
I have over 6,000 vintage cards listed for trade (I consider vintage to be 1977 or earlier).  For each card I've noted a condition grade and if you check closer, a note on each regarding any condition issues (be sure to select the correct one if multiple cards are shown).  Please note that I'm by no means a professional grader and if you're hyper-sensitive on card condition, please message me first and I'd be happy talk about it.  In exchange for these cards, I have three priorities:

  • 1) similar vintage cards that I need (any sport)
  • 2) inserts for my 90s sets that I need (any sport)
  • 3) or non-junk era base cards that i need as a last resort (any sport)

Note on Card ConditionA card noted as Pr, Fr, Gd, or GdVg will have some obvious condition issues such as creasing, corner wear, or marks.  I would consider them place holders in a collection at best (I've listed them because some people do want place holders).  A VG card will usually be a clean card with some corner wear or a centering issue.  For me, VG would be the bare minimum for my personal collection.  EX will be nice sharp card and VgEx will be something just between VG and Ex, still a nice card with a small issue that prevents it from being EX.  NM in vintage is a tough find.

I've been a baseball collector since the late 80's and love to trade.  I am primarily a set collector and belong to several online trading clubs.  My never ending goal is to collect all the regular issued Topps cards from 1952 to present.

My main collecting interests are vintage cards,  Minnesota Twins,  a few newer sets and Bert Blyleven.

Vintage sets:  1952 Topps, 1953 Topps, 1954 Bowman, 1954 Topps,  1955 Topps,  1956 Topps,  1957 Topps,  1963 Topps,  1967 Topps

Newer sets: 2004 Donruss,  2005 Donruss,  2012 Cooperstown.

* I prefer not to trade vintage cards (below 1976) for newer cards.

* Before delivering or accepting a proposal please make sure you have all of the cards.

Due to some space constraints and needing to down size, I would love to sell off some of my cards listed on my For Sale / Trade List.

I have completed hand collated sets, tons of base cards and a lot of inserts and parallels.

Let me know what you would be interested in .

If you do have something from my wantlists I am interested in trading in your favor.

Still looking for Mike Sweeney & Bobby Murcer I don't have.

If you have any Mike Sweeney or Bobby Murcer cards to trade, please click on my separate collections to see what I have and what I am looking for.

Thanks

Well, I did it.  I got rid of virtually everything in a single transaction.  About a quarter of a million cards, plus some significant pieces of memorabilia, picked up and hauled away by TCDb user Castle Anthrax.  I may still gather in a few pieces to keep up to date with the new Mets as they happen, but I am out, and I am free.

Thanks for all of the wonderful transactions through the years, as well as some pretty nice friendships.  Much affection returned to all my traders and buyers.

Soli Deo Gloria,

Mostly baseball.  I'm working on completing my 1968 set that was left unfinished from my youth.  I have a few parallel/inserts I'd like to find to finish up collections from the 90's.

Next up will be a choice between going for the 67 set of diving into Hertiage cards from the 2000 ...

I have several thousand cards I personally collected during 2 phases of my life.  First during the mid '60's, and again during '89 and the early '90's.  The cards have been carefully stored all along.  Mostly Baseball, but also some other cards, both vintage and modern.  I have now decided to part with this collection, and focus more on my coin collecting.  So I am looking to sell all my cards at a fair price. I will also trade for vintage US and foreign coins and banknotes.

The biggest sets I have to offer from include '65 Topps, '66 Topps, '89 Topps, '89 Upper Deck, '90 Bowman, '90 Fleer, '90 Upper Deck, and '91 Upper Deck.  I have around 1000 vintage Baseball cards ranging from '51 to '66, mostly '65 and '66 Topps.  I've posted all of these for sale on TCDB.  When selling, I typically price the vintage cards well below their PSA value.  When trading, I adhere closer to the PSA values and also adhere close to the estimated value of the coins/banknotes.  Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing any of my collection or trading for coins/banknotes.

Trading: A minimum of 12 cards going each way unless there is a true gem / vintage in the trade. PWE acceptable but prefer large trades of 250+ cards in each direction. Please confirm that you actually have the cards before Accepting a trade; I always do the same at this end. Vintage for vintage; HoF/stars for same; inserts / parallels for same, all as much as possible. Priority are vintage, OPC and sets on my UserLists. Having tried to offer cards from these lists will increase the chances of my Accepting a trade; totally disregarding these and offering me 12+ commons from a set that I am so far from completing that they do not make the list is more prone to being Declined, especially if I see you have cards for trade that are on my lists.

------------------------------

Stats: As of 31 December 2023:

Wants OPC Baseball: base sets 1965-1994 + 1981 Grey Backs and 1990 white stock test issue parallel - 295/13,896 cards (2.12%).

Wants Topps Baseball: base sets 1951-2022 + 1952 Black backs, 1954 Canadian, 1975 mini parallel, 1993 & 1994 Gold parallel - 2,348/49,189 (4.77%). Breakdown by decade: 1951-60 - 1,087/3,816 (28.49%); 1961-70 - 854/6,135 (13.92%); 1971-80 - 313/7,721 (4.05%); 1981-90 - Complete; 1991-2000 - 31/7,856 (0.39%); 2001-10 -  61/6,986 (0.87%); 2011-20 - 2/6,841 (0.03%); 2021-23 - Complete.

Trading/PIF/Purchases on TCDb:

2023 - 195 + 5 still In-Progress; Cards Sent - 11,877 / Cards Received - 9,527

Total since being a member: Cards Sent - 84,113 / Cards Received - 73,209 (# of trades really doesn't matter to me as it can be misleading to the quantity of cards have come and gone).

Sets completed through Trades/PIF/Purchases in 2023 - 85 sets; 170 sets since Dec 2021 when I started tracking this.

---------------------------------

2024 Goals:
