Currently not trading or buying at this time.  Pre- 1980 Astros and Altuve.  Pre-1977 Baseball; Ty Cobb and Detroit Tigers in general. Catchers in gear and multi-bat cards are my favorite mini-collections. Only adding pre-1974 cards to these collections now.  I use TCDB to track my collections.

Collecting all Topps Baseball base sets from 1956 to 2020.

If I have something on my For Sale/Trade list that you need and you have nothing to trade me, I am more than willing to sell most cards on my FS/T list at a very reasonable price...especially to fellow set collectors!

VAR's: If it's important to you to get a specific variation in a trade, please let me know so I can be sure I have the correct one for you.

March '24 Update: Trading is turned back on. Woohoo!

Topps Baseball (flagship 1969-present) and now Topps Heritage Baseball 2018-present along with some oddball/food-issued cards. I'm also trying to complete my sets of older Topps football and baseball (1969-73) in NM condition (sorry for being a condition snob). Always happy to leave positive feedback.

I prefer to trade base cards for base cards and inserts for inserts. If my For Sale/Trade list has pre-1975 vintage or SPs or serial-#'s cards you want, I will trade them for pre-1975 vintage or SPs or low serial-#'s cards (mix or match) that I need, i.e. a pre-1975 vintage for SP or a SP for low SN or low SN for pre-1975 vintage, then offers will be happily be considered.

The bigger the trade, the better. :)

Sport and non sport cards...as well as new and vintage figures (toys)!

Nearly my entire collection of cards and figures (along with most all other material possessions) were maliciously destroyed not long before I joined the database. I came only looking for ideas regarding starting over but instead I gained a greater understanding for the hobby, made some wonderful acquaintances and have learned more than ever expected.

** GOAL: Now if I could ONLY replace my Monkees and Beatles cards- wishful thinking, I know- Hopeefully since condition doesn't matter- I can begin piecing some together without getting stung too badly!**

If sending trade proposals and basing them off of the above players/teams, I'm working backwards from newest to oldest, unless it's something pricey. I will sell but Paypal G/S only. Will buy or sell cards as well and I am a partner at an LCS that focuses on singles so if you're looking for specific cards, teams, players, ect. please let me know! Those will mostly only be available for sale though unless we can make a bulk deal to replinish inventory!

I am relatively new to TCDB but have been part of the baseball card blogging community for well over a decade. I have over 100,000 cards to trade. Also if you collect matchbooks/matchcovers, stamps, or bottle caps (including MLB/NFL caps from the 60s) I have some of those to trade, especially the matchbooks which I also collect.

PLEASE NOTE: While my modern cards are almost all mint/near-mint, the condition of my vintage cards vary greatly. Some are in quite good shape for their age; many more are in good/fair/poor condition.

ALSO NOTE: For the time being I will usually only be mailing out all packages, including PWEs, once a week, on Saturdays.

For my TCDB wantlists, first priority is my vintage Topps setbuilds. Second priority is the modern cards that I have on there. Lowest priority is the 2017-present Topps setbuilds. I do collect everything baseball, so even if you don't have cards that are on my TCDB wantlists, you will probably have plenty to trade that I would be interested in, so I'm happy to browse through your tradelist if you see cards on my tradelist that you would like to trade for.

Any and all Braves cards from 1954 - Present (RIP Hank Aaron).

I have decided to scale back from trying to collect every Braves card ever made and concentrate on the sets I like. Lately it seems to be next to impossible to collect team sets since there are so many inserts, VAR, SP, and just all to many brands. Topps has once again turned collecting into $$$ for them by making so many different brands. The cost to collect is getting to be very expensive and making me question the hobby again. I still plan on trading and looking for the cards I am still missing.

Willing to trade just about anything for Braves cards......

I have been trying to do the impossible and collect the entire 2016 Topps and Update Sets. Any help would be appreciated!

I DON'T SO SMALL TRADES WITH VERY LITTLE VALUE. THE CARDS AREN'T WORTH THE COST OF SHIPPING TO ME.

UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED, I ASSUME PWE IS ACCEPTABLE FOR TRADES. THANKS!

Very active trader, always willing to discuss a deal.  I've had many successful tranactions already, and continually working on more!  I like trading/buying/selling. I have 10's of thousands of cards, they're just not all organzed as I buy large lots at a time. I plan on adding more cards weekly.

As far as what I collect, I focus primarily on the following players:

Barry Sanders, Charles Woodson, Tom Brady, Derek Jeter, Ty Cobb, Al Kaline, Larry Bird and then to a lesser extent, Grant Hill, Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Fab Five Wolverines, Alan Trammell, Lou Whitaker, Bo Jackson, Steve Yzerman, Nicklas Lidstrom and Michigan football and basketball alum.

I'm always willing to look at offers. Please be patient though, as I don't always respond quickly, but I will respond one way or the other.

***Please do not send trade offers that rely on prices from the site to establish fair value***

Thanks!

Always looking to do trades.  I prefer PWE (4-27 card trades), but I'm not afraid to work out a big trade. I usually send PWE for smaller trades (27 and under) unless we work something out before the deal gets done, just FYI.

Finished adding most of my football and baseball auto and relics for trade..  They will usually ship BMWT so all I ask is you make the trade worth the shipping and I'd prefer to do like for like on the autos and relics.  But I'm always open to GOOD offers.

Concentrating on completing my Topps Baseball and Football Flagship sets.  And my Packers Team sets from 1970-2015 Topps Flagship, and base Allen and Ginter sets.  And of course any Robin Yount cards I don't have.  But I'm open to trade for anything on my want list.

Only shipping packages and PWEs to the US.

PWE to Canada only. (of course for the right trade and cards we might be able to work out a deal for a package)

Sorry no other international shipping (just too darn expensive).

Robin Yount, Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Braves. I especially like Brewers police cards -- all the varieties and municipalities are the kind of obsessive type of collecting that I tend to like. So, I'll take any of those variations that I don't have, whether they are on a wantlist or not.

Otherwise, I used to write blogs but I got too busy with work for that. I used to trade a lot more too, but my wife's health has declined lately so I don't have a ton of time for that right now either. She used to take my packages to the post office for me but now she can't.

My old "Off Hiatus" blog has a ton of want lists and the like that I'm trying to phase out by entering my collection here at TCDB. I spend more time on Twitter than anywhere else these days, and I'm also a member of the SABR Baseball Cards Committee.

Note: I'm starting over again from scratch with getting my collection entered here. I'm focusing on that as opposed to trading currently. I haven't had time to trade lately, so please understand that it's not personal if I don't respond.

Hey all, my trading priorities at the moment are vintage (mainly 1972 high numbers) and Topps refractors from the early-mid aughts of past greats (mainly ATFF refractors [2003-2005], Topps Retired refractor autos [2003-2005], Archives Reserve hits [2001-2002], and 2005 Topps Pristine Legends [refractors only]). Offer me any of that stuff and I'll be motivated to work out a deal! We could probably still trade even if you don't have any of that particular stuff, but I ask that you please don't offer me "junk" (forgive the term) unless it's "junk" that you're asking for in return, as I'm generally less interested in overproduced stuff.

Check out my blog Baseball Card Breakdown that I've run since 2013. I also do a 1991 MusiCards Blog where I get to ramble more about my youth and music I like. Also worth noting that I occasionally make my own custom cards, often printing extras for trading and surprise bonus throw-ins.

I haven't logged that much of my collection/wants into TCDB yet, but I'm working on it. My card blog, however, features a big wantlist as well as a trade bait page that I'd encourage potential trade partners check out in addition to the "trade matching" option here. Thanks!

I'm focusing on these right now and I hope to trade as much for these as I can. I will buy if the price is right. I'm over halfway on 1970-1972 with HOF and High #'s remaining.

• Any other local teams of interest - Grand Rapids Griffins, Muskegon Lumberjacks, Grand Rapids Rampage, Traverse City Beach Bums, Traverse City Pit Spitters, etc.

I've been very blessed in my trades and transactions here on TCDB. Thank you to all. I will trade vintage for modern and vice versa as long as there is roughly equal value felt on both sides. I am a set builder and collecter. I do not speculate on my cards for future value. I do this for fun, not for profit. I will sell, but only to build a small bank of money to use for buying cards I can't trade for. I've traded hundreds of cards each way and I've done many 1 for 1 trades, so no trade is too big or small for me.

In packaging, I use painter's tape ONLY. I try to use a photo mailer for small trades of about a dozen or less.  I use #10 PWE for trades up to about 2 dozen cards and maybe 2 PWE for 4 dozen.  After 50 cards, I typically will use a bubble mailer with tracking.  If it is 200 or more cards, they will likely be in a box well padded.

5 cards incoming is a minimum for trades, please! (Unless it's a higher-value card)

I am prioritizing my collecting on Nebraska Cornhuskers currently, so any trades for those former players are preferred.

I care about VARs/variations/parallels. If it's documented that way on TCDb, that's the one I'm looking for! Please take a little time to confirm your cards being offered are correctly documented. Easy traps that everyone falls into are 1990s ProCards/CMC cardbacks and football hobby base versus retail base.

Check out the results of the Ukraine trip here!

Declining trade offers with no message is of little use to the person initiating the trade, show some effort to those putting together trade offers and take a few seconds to note why the trade doesn't work in its current state. A few moments to communicate can lead to a deal getting done!

On the flip side, please stop sending me 1-4 card trades showing that you didn't read/ignored my top message in bold, respect for time goes both ways!

I am one of the members that helps within the site.  I work closely with the IRs and can answer most questions.  Please send me a message if there is anything I can assist with.  If I don't know, I can certainly try to figure it out or direct you to a resource.

I am a player collector...collecting Robin Yount and Ersan Ilyasova

I like to trade!!  I mainly prefer PWE trades but am set up for larger trades too.  I have a scale at home and the wife works at the post office, so I rarely need to go there.  I like to get my trade list into the hands of members that could use them.  If this means that I give a lot more than I receive, this is fine with me.  You get the cards you need; I get the space back in my area.  I am open to buying and selling, but mainly, I am a trader.  I have mostly gone through and updated for the correct variations in my trade listing.  I also have a spreadsheet that I have documented my Glow vs Non-Glow backed '91 Topps.  Let me help you fill your collecting needs.

My primary collection is something regional, I really want to collect the old Brewer Police cards, they were issued for each community throughout Wisconsin.  But I have been especially looking for the Robin Yount cards.  I think there are over 785 different police sets issued between 1982 and 1993, with over 865 different cards that I am very interested in (He has two cards in the 1993 sets).  Currently, I have 311 different Yount cards.  It's actually been fun, but I have a long way to go.  Any of the other Brewers cards that I have would be available if you are interested but let me check on the condition.  Since I am getting a lot of them through thrift stores, eBay and rummage sales, some are pretty ragged.  I also have Packers Police cards that would potentially be available too.

A fun project that I have started is gathering information on Robin's 3,142 hits.  I have been putting a collection together of him and the pitchers that he hit off of.  This means that I am on the hunt for many, many copies of Robin's Topps cards, one copy for every hit within that year.  But also, many AL pitchers.  I plan to match up the pitcher's card with Robin's card and add a little write up of the at bat and the game.  I'm such a nerd.  UPDATE - Still need over half of Robin's Topps cards.  But I have done very well in regard to his pitchers.  I only need 3 and 2 others to have upgraded!!  Big thanks to everyone that has helped!!

I personally have a very small collection and wants.  When I find something for myself,  I like to try to give a little extra as a big thanks for finding me something special.  Thank you to all that has helped!!

12/4/2023 - Updated my PC lists, so there will be a mass of Jackie Robinson, Roberto Clemente & Corbin Burnes cards available for sale/trade here soon.  As I mention below, my want list is quite narrow, so I am more than willing to sell cards if we don't match up for a trade.

Came across tcdb.com towards the end of 2019, and I have now completed over 1,500 transactions, with over 23,000 cards changing hands!  Love everything about this site.  I have met so many cool people from all over the Country, and even a few from Canada and beyond. (Just completed a trade to Finland, as a matter of fact).

Stole this from another member, but......my goal is to have zero cards in my For Sale/Trade List.  So keep the proposals comin'!

(I know my Want List is relatively small, so I am certainly willing to Sell cards if we don't have enough matches to work out a trade)

My PC list is as follows (with TCDB rankings as of 2/9/2024):

NBA: Giannis (4), Dirk Nowitzki (4), and Tim Duncan (2).

NFL: Sterling Sharpe (3), and Don Majkowski (2)

MLB: Robin Yount (7), Tony Gwynn (6), Hal Morris (3), Mark Grace (7), Pat Listach (1) and Mark Langston (1)

Golf: Rickie Fowler (2)  & Joel Dahmen (2)

WWE: Lita (3)

UFC: Conor McGregor (4)

Non-Sport: Eddie Vedder, Judah Friedlander, Big Jay Oakerson, The Brothers Osborne (TJ & John), Rob Riggle, Bert Kreischer, Tom Segura, Charlie Berens, Post Malone and Brody Stevens

Although I currently live in Florida, I was born in Milwaukee.....hence my obsession with Wisconsin sports teams.  Ha.

Please check out my For Sale/Trade list, and feel free to message me or send me trade proposals any time.....let's see what we can get done!  (I don't necessarily trade based on "book value", but rather the value to me, so please feel free to counter if I propose a trade that you feel is unfair.  I also have no rules about "insert for insert" or any of that nonsense, so don't be shy to shoot me a proposal)

Have quite a few basketball, some hockey and some racing that I'm dissipating. Still working the sell/trade list and want list.

Have a lots of duplicates ranging from 1983ish-23, so just let me know if something interests you.

Would like to keep the transactions to trades. Always willing to sell. :). PWE is fine and I will usually provide tracking for bigger or more expensive packages..

If you're not interested in a proposed trade, please decline. I will usually give 3-4 days. And if you need some time, just let me know. Not in a big hurry on anything.

Please be aware that adding non-machinable to an envelope does wonders for the condition it arrives in. (Just a tip)

Only U.S. trades please. Sorry! Too many PO issues.

And please be patient, I will always leave feedback.

Please check the packaging before sending cards. I've had several cards arrive with marks on them from working their way out of card savers and top loaders. Thanks.

Thanks for your consideration.

Please read and understand the BUY/SELL/TRADE INFORMATION below before proposing a transaction.  While some believe this causes pain and suffering, I believe it ensures a great transaction.  If you happen to believe the former, please seek out a member with an empty profile instead.  Thank you.

BUY / SELL / TRADE INFORMATION

While everything I have is for sale/trade, anything listed in my collection will be very expensive.  You're welcome to ask if I'm willing to part with a card, just don't expect a "yes".

With the exception of some complete sets, my collection is stored in sleeves > pages > binders and sorted by player > year > set > card number.  Transactions involving one player or a few players tend to be pulled quickly, but transactions with many different players take longer.  Not all cards with variations are logged properly, but I am happy to confirm that applicable cards in a proposed transaction are the correct variation.

BUYING:

SELLING:

  • I will only sell for a $10 minimum + USPS cost (PWE with no tracking internationally OR bubble envelope/box with tracking within the US).  "No Fee" payments only.  Full payment must be received prior to shipment.

TRADING:

  • Condition: <1987 = EX or better and >=1987 NM - I'll expect cards from a smoke-free environment.  If you're not sure if you're card(s) will pass muster, let me know and/or share a picture.
  • Feedback: If you wish to trade and have little or no feedback, I will request that I receive your cards before I ship.
  • Communication: I prefer to work within proposed transactions as soon as possible, but feel welcome to message me first if you're thinking about a larger trade that will take a lot of time and thought to put together.  As long as you're willing to communicate (I am), I'm comfortable with as many counter proposals as it takes to come to an agreement and then confirm that cards exist and are in good shape BEFORE the transaction is accepted by one of us.
  • Postage: Please mention if you want to limit the card count for postage reasons as I tend to look for ways to make proposed trades larger.  I also tend to use bubble envelopes or boxes, but I'll do PWEs for single card trades or when mailing international.  Unless we discuss it as part of the transaction, I do not expect any specific method from you.

Here's what I'm looking for, in priority order:

2020 Topps Heritage Throwback Variations

I'm close to finishing the master set, so I'll pay you nicely for these.  Refer me to someone else who sells me one...I might pay you nicely too.  Please message me even if I have trades turned off.

Kyle Lewis

I collected KyL before he was cool...and still do.

Ken Griffey Jr

I've collected The Kid since he was drafted.

Luis Robert

I collect Luis Robert because my football jersey number was his baseball jersey number...not the other way around.

Willi Castro

I'm not sure why I collect Willi...in stealth mode.

  • No sticker autographs unless they are free.

Other Potential Trade Options

Any cards that I have that do not meet the above criteria will be removed from my collection. As of right now, I only sell on COMC (and I don't see that changing). I just don't have the time with my lifestyle (working 40-50 hours a week, plus coaching three baseball teams) to pull, package, and mail trades, or even mail my own sales. I do enjoy sending PIFs and typically check wantlists here before sending a box to COMC for consignment. If I'm looking for something specific and notice you have it FS/T, I may reach out to try and make an offer. I don't expect to receive any proposals, and would rather send someone a few cards from their wantlist and get nothing in return than try to hash out a deal.

I do have cards listed FS/T; they are available via COMC, listed in my "COMC" collection, and can be accessed by following the External Sales Link on those cards. I don't have them in my possession, so I can't do a trade with you. However, I want to see these cards go to people who really want them. If you see something you like, send me a message on here and let me know - the price will come down, and I'll even take a bit of a loss to get you cards for your collection. I keep my prices more in line with what is currently offered on COMC, but I'll certainly be wiling to negotiate, especially with a TCDB member, as these are typically higher than what these cards are truly worth, in my opinion.

This project is to tell the story of the decades and what better way than to have character to the cards. That's for the vintage, I don't want 1990s cards that are rounded edges and ripped up.

My collection is valued at how much I'm smiling at the end of the day :)

Home of the Time Travel Trading Project!

With a few exceptions, every card older than 2016 listed on my FS/T is part of my Time Travel Trading Project. The project goal is to get an older card than what I sent out. I provide monthly updates on my blog as well.

The following cards are part of the Time Travel Trading Project, but the sets are not yet listed on the TCDB:

    1. 1964 Ed-U-Cards Washington Senators Baseball Card Game #NNO Ball
    2. 1890 N245 Sweet Caporal Actors & Actresses (non-sport) #NNO Frankie Raymond

March 2024 - Still have my monster box of A&G to enter, and some piles of miscellaneous.  Now I'll just be entering older stuff, but probably won't do overproduction and will only do vintage for specific trades.  Entering condition etc. is a lot.

Thanks for surpassing 225 trades!  Sorry I'm slow entering feedback.  I let them stack up to about 10 and knock them out at once.  They will pile up larger than that sometimes.  I promise I will leave feedback eventually.

I am still in the process of entering my wants and tradeables on the database.  Have entered 1994 thru 2021 baseball* and 2009 thru 2020 football so far*.  I've got somewhere near 20 total monster boxes of available cards to enter, so bear with me for a while.  I can usually dig other stuff out and enter it on the fly.

I am not concerned with matching value or volume on trades.  I will do my best to send more than I receive whenever possible.  I would prefer to get something more than base if I'm sending inserts, s/n or GU etc. unless it's only a few among a big batch.  Would prefer to at least partially fill an envelope with a half dozen or so instead of one or two unless there's nothing else needed between us.

If I list a variation, I want that specific variation.  I strive to list my tradeable ones accurately as well.

    * The bulk of my football stops at 2018, with a few other sets in '19 & '20.  I'm now working backward to earlier years.
Except for A&G, baseball stops at 2021 as well.  I have nothing newer than that for trade.

Collecting Baseball, Football, and Hockey sets, (those want lists are all entered)

50+BB, 5+FB & 1 hockey player collections, (these are not all entered yet)

Washington football team previously marketed on Native American imagery cards, (doubt I'll try to enter a lot of these, but I trade for a ton!)

Golf, Star Trek, Star Wars, Space & Moon Landing cards, etc.

I have NOT entered the bulk of my collection.  On last count I was pushing 250,000 total cards.  Most of what is in here is either the first few sets I entered in one shot, or cards I've traded for.  I have no plans to enter the rest of the sets I have.  Will probably enter my player collections just to see where I rank...

The primary teams I collect are: St. Louis Cardinals, Portland Trail Blazers, Oregon Ducks (college and alums), Portland Timbers and Portland Beavers. Secondary interests include collecting sets (especially Topps Heritage and Allen & Ginter) and picking up the odd Philadelphia Eagles card that suits my liking.

    Player collections:

    Ozzie Smith
    Jim Edmonds
    Chris Carpenter
    Adam Wainwright
    Darryl Kile
    Matt Holliday
    Matt Carpenter
    Brendan Ryan
    Clyde Drexler
    Wesley Matthews
    Rasheed Wallace
    Randall Cunningham
    Sabrina Ionescu

I absolutely do not use the pricing feature on TCDB for trading (or for anything, really.) Common sense should prevail here.

I am always interested in numbered, autographed and/or memorabilia cards related to the above teams/players, even if they aren't in my want list.

Cards in my collection are not for trade or sale unless specifically marked as "for sale/trade". I'm open to PWE and larger offers to all countries. Please let me know immediately if you do not want cards sent via PWE.

Notes for trading pre-1980 cards: For anything on my want list, I am most likely interested regardless of condition (within reason, of course.) For anything in my trade list, I have made an effort to add a condition tag to anything that I would consider less than near mint. I have zero experience in actually grading cards, though, so feel free to reach out if you want more details about any individual card including a scan or picture.

Bagwell, Biggio, Nolan Ryan, Astros/Colt .45s, 60's-70's Pirates, Pre-1967 Baseball.

** PWE trades work better at the moment, unless you've got something really special for me. **

Cardinals Baseball any year any brand

Some Vintage Topps Baseball Set Building (in any condition).....

Also doing 9 page project of John Riggins (Football/Redskins), see want list, can use dupes of some.

Memphis Grizzlies basketball added to want list past few years

I have NOT separated my traders into dot and no dot variations (or letter variations).  If this matters to you, I do not mind checking for a particular one for your want list...

I do expect nm or better condition on 81-present cards (unless agreed upon lower condition in messages)  On vintage, I collect any condition except on upgrade lists.

If you do want to trade vintage, please be clear on what your condition requirements are....many of my extra vintage are in lower conditions..

Oddball/Food Issue/Magazine/insert cards- Typically these have a much smaller print run/population than regular set cards like topps, fleer, upper deck etc.    When trading for these, I like to get similar for similar.  I will likely not accept a trade offer of oddball card for regular issue set cards.

Completed 2812+ trades with 641 different traders (in multiple groups) since 2005

Have lots of wants on my web page, not on this database

Everything in dupes collection is available for trade even if not in trade/sales list

I can only ship on weekends ....

Some of you may be frustrated that I turn off trades, but here is why:

I am in multiple trading groups, and simply do not have time to do more than 1 or 2 trades at a time

I am open to offers if you want to buy although my primary focus is trading.

I have my own baseball card collecting Discord server (see my profile for an invite link)!  I host contests, giveaways, and plenty of group breaks over on my Discord!  I also run my own baseball card group break page over on Facebook though most of the action has moved over to the Discord to keep things all in one place.

Finally, I am willing to sell cards from my For Trade lists but I now require a potential buyer to include their price in their initial request.

Shipping only to USA and Canada currently.  Trades involving 9 or fewer cards will be shipped via PWE (cards in a row of a 9-pocket page) unless other arrangements are made prior to the completion of the trade.

I'm willing to sell if you don't have anything to offer in return that I need.  I'm also willing to buy if I don't have anything to offer in return to you!  Shoot me a message.

I'll be taking some time off from trading to put my trades and purchases into their final resting place. If you think we have a large trade that you don't mind waiting a day or two longer than usual send me a note what you are thinking about and i'll try to get back to you.

I'm shutting down trading to pursue another Hobby.  I'm going to buy an RV and travel and work remotely.  I have a quest to visit all 425 National Parks.  I will resume trading when I get back off the road years from now.

I super collect Ray Lewis. I'll never gets them all but I will get as many as I can

I also collect Roger Staubach, Drew Pearson, Kellen Winslow Sr. and Patrick Queen to a lesser extent

I'm also trying to collect as many Die-cut and Acetate sets as I can

No trade to small.  PWEs are fine just make sure the cards are protected.

When I propose a trade I haven't pulled the cards yet.  Too many times I have pulled a bunch of cards and gotten no reponse to an offer.  If you accepted the trade I will pull them and let you know if I am missing anything or if they are on the way.

Condition is not that important to me, as long as the card doesn't look bad I'm OK.  That being said if condition is important to you let me know so I can make sure they are OK.

    Sets Completed:

    Baseball:

    1980 Topps, 1980 Topps Burger King, 1991 Topps, 1992 Topps, 1993 Topps, 1993 Leaf

Hi gang, just a couple of notes:

    1)  I don't sell on this website.  I rarely buy.   Probably better off not asking me.

    2)  If you don't have more than 24 hours to wait on a response to a trade that you proposed, please don't send it to me.   Patience is a virtue.  I generally give people a week to respond if I make an offer.

    3)  Have fun when trading.

    COLLECTING

    • Sets: 1954-1968, 1977, 1997-2023 Topps Baseball sets, including updates. Here is my Topps Set Completion Status List
    • Teams: Baltimore Orioles, Washington Capitals, Baltimore Ravens, and a few Baltimore Colts.
    • Players: Cal Ripken Jr., Jim Palmer, Alexander Ovechkin, Dale Hunter, Chris Simon, and Olaf Kolzig.

    TRADING

    Overview

    • Trades only. I don't buy or sell cards on the TCDB.
    • U.S. TRADES ONLY. Shipping outside of the U.S. is expensive.
    • I have 50,300+ different cards listed for trade (I don't list multiples). Fair, base-for-base, trades are welcome, especially in bulk. As a set collector, there are a lot of base cards on my want list. Having a large number of base cards on my want list makes it difficult to line up one-for-one trades for requested inserts, stickers, or non-base cards, especially in bulk. If you're asking for inserts or non-base cards, please offer cards that are similar.
    • Let's communicate to make sure both parties have all cards available and in acceptable condition BEFORE either of us commits to hitting the "Accept" button. It's a mess trying to fix errors for damaged or missing cards after accepting.
    • I'd like to stay within the same decade for vintage trades: 50s for 50s, 60s for 60s, and 70s for 70s. For 80s and later cards, it's not as important. Also, I'm OK with trading across sports or for non-sport if you are.
    • I love to trade, but if I have more than 10 transactions going at once, I will momentarily turn off my incoming trade proposals to let the queue clear before turning it back on. I thank you for your patience and understanding.
    • If you are a team or player collector and we have a large trade going, please take into consideration that it will take me a longer amount of time to pull your cards spread out over many different boxes and locations, especially if variations are involved, as opposed to pulling cards all from the same set located in one box.

    Condition and Variations

    • For trades involving pre-1980s cards, expect to exchange images of cards to verify condition. Everyone's standard varies on what is acceptable condition. Exchanging photos solves this so both of us can determine if the condition of the cards being exchanged is preferred by both parties.
    • For 50s-70s vintage cards coming my way, I'd prefer cards without tears, heavy scuffs, surface damage, writing, heavy creases breaking the surface, severely rounded corners, holes, wax stains, or part(s) of the card missing. Everything later than 1980 I'd expect to be near-mint or mint condition. Again, I'm open to exchanging images of cards to verify condition, especially for vintage cards.
    • If offering cards with dark borders such as 2001, 2002, 2003, or 2007 Topps cards, please ensure that they do not have surface damage from bricking (snow) or edge chipping. Thank you.
    • I make every effort to enter the correct variations. If you are a variation collector, please ask and I will verify that the variations are correct. For me, the only sets that I'm concerned about receiving the correct variations for are the 1981 Fleer, 1991 Topps, and 2012 Topps sets that I'm trying to complete master sets of.

    Trade Sizes and Shipping

    • The bigger, the better! I'm trying to complete sets while helping you to complete yours, so large fair trades are welcome! My biggest single trade so far has been 3,509 cards: 2024 TCDB Site Award: Largest Trade. We can top that, right?
    • I use the Trade Matching feature often to propose large trades. If you're on the top of my match list, don't be surprised if you get a large trade offer from me. I'm trying knock out sets while helping you with yours.
    • For Plain White Envelope (PWE), I prefer to trade 15 or more cards to make it worth the postage unless the cards involved are of higher value or vintage cards.
    • 15 to 24 Cards: PWE, unless you prefer otherwise.
    • 25 to 48 Cards: Two PWEs (because getting TWO envelopes full of cards in the mailbox is better than getting only one!).
    • 49+ Cards: Team bags in a plastic bubble mailer, or a 200ct to 500ct card box. All larger trades will have a USPS tracking number sent to you in a transaction message.
    • I try to mail out as soon as possible. When work is crushing my soul, I will let you know my mailing is delayed. Apologies in advance.

Thank you for reading my profile and stopping by!

Looking to buy cheap lesser quality vintage baseball and football lots.

I'm a collector, NOT an investor, and I deal solely on that premise.

I have my valuations and ANYTHING vintage (i.e. up through 1979) is considered more highly than anything newer.

I have tons of Wants from the overproduced late 1980s to early 1990s and I am looking to trade within that era for those, but I will go cross-sport, and will try to match HOFers, Stars, or Commons as much as possible in a card-for-card trade.

Mostly I'm a "You got gaps; I got gaps; together no gaps" type trader, BUT because I have plenty of oddball wants, I do not trade those for base cards (or even inserts in most cases). For example, I have plenty of Kellogg's cards, but I prefer trading them for other Kellogg's cards (or other food issued cards) from similar eras.

I ACCEPT lower conditioned creased and worn cards, but I wish to be told about them. The only flaws that I'll decline would be significant paper loss on fronts, markings or doodles that are excessive, or severely cut/torn cards. In those cases I'd still like to see scans to determine if they're acceptable. (I do NOT expect your condition requirements to be like mine.)

I vow to send securely and economically with VARs confirmed and condition issues noted or explained:

    1. At least 18 cards going each way in a PWE.
    2. Trades involving up to 90 cards will be mailed in medium to large business envelopes without tracking.
    3. Larger trades will be sent in most economical way possible (obviously with tracking).

Focusing on These for Now (And the only ones which I'll consider in trades smaller than the 18 minimum from above):

    • BASEBALL
      1. 1975, 1978, & 1980 Topps
      2. 1989 & 1991 Donruss Grand Slammers (master sets)
      3. 2001 Upper Deck Decade 1970s and Upper Deck Vintage (base and related inserts)
      4. Any Topps Heritage New Age Performers
      5. Any food issued sets
    • FOOTBALL
      1. 1966 Philadelphia
      2. 1968 Topps
      3. 1987 Topps
      4. 1994 Ted Williams Roger Staubach's NFL (base and related inserts)
      5. 2009 Philadelphia
    • HOCKEY
      1. 1971-72 & 1978-79 Topps
      2. 1987-88 & 1988-89 Topps
      3. 1989-90, 1990-91, 1991-92 Kraft sets
      4. 2001-02 Topps - 1971-72 Heritage
      5. Any food issued sets

Ranked #8 Jim Rice Player Collection on TCDB

Ranked #3 Jazz Chisholm Player Collection on TCDB

A card noted as Pr, Fr, Gd, or GdVg will have some obvious condition issues such as creasing, corner wear, or marks. At best, I would consider them placeholders in a collection (I've listed them because some people want placeholders). A VG card will usually be clean with some corner wear or a centering issue. For me, VG (1950-79) would be the bare minimum for my collection projects. For Pre-War, GD and cards with ink/stamps on the back but with good eye appeal are acceptable. EX will be a nice sharp card, and VgEx will be just between VG and Ex, still a nice card with a minor issue preventing it from being EX.

    Priority of my want lists:
1 - Any and all Phillies cards (almost anything not in my collection is a "want")
2 - Various set ventures (baseball - 1972 Topps, 2016 Topps Chrome, Archives, Heritage sets, then hockey sets)
    3 - Baseball HOFers (1980s)
    4 - Baseball HOFers (1970s)
    5 - Baseball HOFers (1990s)
6 - Baseball HOFers (other decades)

If there are any other categories of want lists, they would fall between set completion and HOFers.

I added approx. 90,000 cards available for trade in early 2023.

[The next section has been updated on 3/4/2024]

    Note: Currently transactions are ON.

While I have transaction requests turned on, trade proposals will be handled in the order in which they are received. I am continuing to take it slow because I don't have the time or patience to take on too many trades at once. Additionally, I have found that it makes it easier on both sides because the cards are known to be available. And please, when we do trade, please make it so that the postage to/from your location to mine makes a trade worthwhile for both of us. Thank you.

Please also note that I am very much open to selling in addition to trading. If you see stuff you want and don't have anything in return, that's okay. We'll work out a deal that will be fair for both of us, not just me (and not just you, please). (The listings over at the SwamiLee account are in my possession and I am also selling those. The only sport left there is baseball.)
