I trade cards to build baseball, hockey and some miscellaneous sports / non-sport sets. I also PC Felipe Alou, Derek Aucoin, Steve Begin, Jennifer Botterill, Kevin Dineen, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, Bob Kudelski, Manon Rheaume and P.J. Stock as well. I do not buy cards. I also have a sweet spot for oddball / food issue / regional sets. New cards are regularly added to my FT/S list and all the cards I list here are NRMT or EX unless specified and I expect the same of you.

I don't collect micro-variations (dots, stars, copyright marks, holograms, printing plate codes...), they're not fun to search and I dislike the incessant frequency with which new ones are added. Seriously, what's the point if you gotta need to use a magnifier glass to check out if there's a dot on the back of a 1991 Fleer? However, I do all my best to check all my cards and to keep my lists up to date, but please ask me first, if micro-variations matter to you. The site really needs some way of opting out of micro-variations (just a default / any var. / unverified option for each card).

Besides helping to complete our collections one step closer each time, the opportunity would be nice to have traded with all the states, provinces and territories of North America. On this site only, I traded with members in 46 states, D.C., 9 provinces, N.W.T. and overseas. I can't wait to have a trade in Alaska, Delaware, North Dakota, Wyoming, Manitoba, Nunavut and Yukon. However, if you don't live in the above jurisdictions, you're still more than welcome to trade with me. No trade to Russia, Belarus and Iran.

I'm an easy going, helpful and patient guy, but here's now my turn to announce that my NO TRADE LIST is growing due to an increased lack of civility on the forums and the full site. If (1) you nitpick and/or always have an opinion on anything and/or act like you own the site and you're not Admin or (2) you do not respond to counters or decline without expressing a reason or don't PM me to ask more time after several days of wait or (3) you send me ridiculous off-balanced offers or (4) you accept the trade and you can't mail your cards in a timely manner or you send me loose or severly damaged cards or (5) have a brand new (empty) account without info / feedback and ask for valuable cards or (6) you clearly didn't read my profile (ask first, at least) and ask me to buy your cards, then chances are that you just won a place on my NO TRADE LIST regardless of how much I may want what you have.

I am fine with shipping cards in single or multiple PWEs, if the cards are properly packaged. Also, I don't mind large or small transactions, but I currently prefer trades with 10 to 20 cards going each way or at least that the cards carry more value than the postage. I usually ship the same or the next business day. Just remember that Canada Post doesn't pick up or deliver on Saturday and Sunday.

International shipping is very easy, but it costs more for BOTH traders (not just from the U.S.). Here are some tips to save on shipping costs to Canada: use PWEs (Plain White Envelopes) and avoid bubble envelopes, plastic boxes and big stacks of cards. Ship as flat as you can (cut 9 pocket pages in 3 rows and insert 4-5 cards in each pocket). The more it looks like a greeting card or documents mailed in a regular letter instead of a package, the more it tends to be cheaper to ship. Current U.S. to Canada first class postage rate (up to 2 oz) is $1.40 and if non-machinable, $1.79. If you don't have Global Forever stamps handy, three regular Forever stamps work as well. There's also no need to pay $14.85 for shipping with international tracking, because it is just too expensive, it will be way slower to arrive and Canada Post won't track your postal item anyway. Overall, postal service tends to be slower in Canada and at times a bit harder to predict, but it is as reliable as in the U. S.. Lastly, no cross-border shipping by Fedex or UPS: they charge $40.00+ custom brokerage on each and every package they handle no matter if it is duty free or not.

I have baseball, football, basketball, hockey, and racing to trade---happy to trade across sports (and trying to acquire more hockey)

My wants:

  • Hockey: Pittsburgh Penguins (all eras), Minnesota Wild (recent - especially Kirill Kaprizov), certified autographs, relics, Pinnacle Masks, enforcers, minor league hockey (all eras).
  • Baseball: relics of players from the beginning of baseball through the 1990s. I am specifically looking for one jersey relic each of: Will Clark, Ozzie Smith, Bo Jackson, and Andres Galarraga.

Any size trade is fine

PWE is always preferred and has worked fine even for relics - please don't waste extra money on postage!

*value to me includes a premium on centering and eye appeal especially with vintage, also a premium on low supply and/or high demand (red and green numbers) such as oddballs and boxed sets

Throughout the week I’m available for responding and making offers.  I’m usually only around my cards on the weekend, pulling, accepting and packaging offers will occur then.

Trading only.  PWE is fine, let me know your plans.

Conditions of my Cards
My cards that do not have a condition listed in the database can be assumed to be free of wrinkles and other major issues. These cards are likely to have corner wear based on the age of the card, generally Ex or better. All other cards with a condition listed are my best guess.

Hi all,

Super happy to have found this site! I'm looking to clear up some space and get some value out of my collection.

Preference is for sale (not trade, unless you have some matches to my wantlist specifically).

I am based in a suburb of Vancouver, BC (home of the 2010 Winter Olympics) and happily ship pretty much wherever. I have shipped to Canada, US, UK, Australia, Norway, Germany and an FPO in Italy so far.

Thanks!
Darren

Even though I don't see Becket as my bible, I do want the trade value for both parties to be in the same ballpark.

A very minor ding in a corner is not a deal braker for me. I will let you know of anything greater than a very minor ding in the card you will be receiving. I would appreciate the same in return.

If you know of any other sites like this, please let me know.

thanks

Had to turn off trading for a while. I Will be back in the fall.

Just trying to finish up some sets.

I'm downgrading my collection significantly at the moment.

Just like many of you, my for sale/trade list seems to be at about 98% accurate but I will try to accommodate any trades that are offered.

Please feel free to add more to your side of the trade as I am looking at clearing some things out right now.

I like to do trades at 108 cards as it fits perfectly into 4 binder sleeves and then into a bubble mailer for a good shipping price.

Thank you to all who have traded with me so far, Its been fun.

Hockey, golf, wrestling, some non-sport. My son and I are trying to complete a few cheap sets.

All trades are in PWE. I will never send cards in a condition that I wouldn't be content to receive myself, and the cards I'm trading are real cheapies for the most part. Having said that, if you're especially concerned with condition, please let me know beforehand and I will give you my honest assessment.

Looking to sell some pieces as well within Canada.

Personal hockey collection includes former Peterborough Petes and players born in and around Peterborough (Yzerman, Eric and Jordan Staal, Ricci, Stillman, Fisher, Pronger, Bogosian, Kassian, Langenbrunner, Larmer, Tugnutt, Larry Murphy etc).

Personal golf collection includes Mike Weir, John Daly, Nick Faldo, Jack Nicklaus. I'm also trying to get one card from each player to win the Masters.

Personal wrestling collection includes Bret Hart, Randy Savage, Bobby Roode, Ted DiBiase, Tito Santana, Jake Roberts, Mr. Perfect, Nia Jax, Bayley

Personal non-sport collection includes some Batman, James Bond, Star Trek, Sylvester Stallone, Winston Churchill, Margaret Thatcher, Presidents Bush, Nixon, Reagan, Ford, Eisenhower, Truman

If you think you have something I might like that isn't on my want list, feel free to propose something anyway.

Open to trades from Canada and the US. (Apologies to my European friends, shipping has become a bit pricey for me.) I generally ship PWE (well wrapped and packaged, of course) unless otherwise agreed to.

For 90-91 Upper Deck, I may not have the correct variation listed... I only have so much time with cards, and don't want to be squinting and staring, trying to differentiate for every card from this set I have listed. If this is important to you, please let me know which cards you'd like checked.

For trades I've sent, if I haven't heard anything in the 7 days since sending the trade, I will withdraw it. Always open to counteroffers.

Thanks!

August 07, 2023 - My apologies to everyone. I was in a car accident a few weeks ago and have a broken wrist, buggered elbow and leg. I am turning trading back on but ask for your patience, it's hard to go through the cards in my present condition.

OK, it is now April 01, 2023 and I have finally figured out what I'm going to concentrate on for the next two years.

Priority #1 - Tim Hortons cards on my want list and the first three binders that I still need (2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18)

Priority #2 - Young guns on my want list.

Priority #3 - Remaining McDonald's cards on my want list.

To that extent, I have started releasing all the O-Pee-Chee cards that I have in my collection and started adding, or correcting the Upper Deck base sets to my want list as well as memorabilia cards from Upper Deck.

I have no problem with cross sport trading and welcome all proposals.

Happy Trading.

Trading: A minimum of 12 cards going each way unless there is a true gem / vintage in the trade. PWE acceptable but prefer large trades of 250+ cards in each direction. Please confirm that you actually have the cards before Accepting a trade; I always do the same at this end. Vintage for vintage; HoF/stars for same; inserts / parallels for same, all as much as possible. Priority are vintage, OPC and sets on my UserLists. Having tried to offer cards from these lists will increase the chances of my Accepting a trade; totally disregarding these and offering me 12+ commons from a set that I am so far from completing that they do not make the list is more prone to being Declined, especially if I see you have cards for trade that are on my lists.

------------------------------

Stats: As of 31 December 2022:

Wants OPC Baseball: base sets 1965-1994 + 1981 Grey Backs and 1990 white stock test issue parallel - 344/13,896 cards (2.48%).

Wants Topps Baseball: base sets 1951-2022 + 1952 Black backs, 1954 Canadian, 1975 mini parallel, 1993 & 1994 Gold parallel - 3,139/48,529 (6.47%). Breakdown by decade: 1951-60 - 1,191/3,816 (31.21%); 1961-70 - 1,041/6,135 (16.97%); 1971-80 - 408/7,721 (5.28%); 1981-90 - Complete; 1991-2000 - 70/7,856 (0.89%); 2001-10 - 148/6,986 (2.12%); 2011-20 - 3/6,841 (0.04%); 2021-22 - 278/1,320 (21.06%).

Trading/PIF/Purchases on TCDb:

2022 - 231 + 7 still In-Progress; Cards Sent - 13,922 / Cards Received - 13,530

Total since being a member: Cards Sent - 72,236 / Cards Received - 63,682 (# of trades really doesn't matter to me as it can be misleading to the quantity of cards have come and gone).

Sets completed through Trades/PIF/Purchases in 2022 - 85 sets including 38 base sets.

---------------------------------

2023 Goals:

1. Re-organize my Oddball / Food Issue Baseball sets. First attempt February 4. Will see how that works.

2. Reduce OPC base set needs to less than 300.

3. Reduce Topps base set needs to less than 2,700 (including the 2023 base set issue). By decade, 1950s to less than 1,000; 1960s to less than 900; 1970s to less than 300.

4. Trade over 10,000 cards going each way.

5. Complete 75 base / insert / parallel / oddball sets.

I'm a collector, NOT an investor, and I deal solely on that premise.

I have my valuations and ANYTHING vintage (i.e. up through 1979) is considered more highly than anything newer.

I have tons of Wants from the overproduced late 1980s to early 1990s and I am looking to trade within that era for those, but I will go cross-sport, and will try to match HOFers, Stars, or Commons as much as possible in a card-for-card trade.

Mostly I'm a "You got gaps; I got gaps; together no gaps" type trader, BUT because I have plenty of oddball wants, I do not trade those for base cards (or even inserts in most cases). For example, I have plenty of Kellogg's cards, but I prefer trading them for other Kellogg's cards (or other food issued cards) from similar eras.

I ACCEPT lower conditioned creased and worn cards, but I wish to be told about them. The only flaws that I'll decline would be significant paper loss on fronts, markings or doodles that are excessive, or severely cut/torn cards. In those cases I'd still like to see scans to determine if they're acceptable. (I do NOT expect your condition requirements to be like mine.)

I vow to send securely and economically with VARs confirmed and condition issues noted or explained:

  1. At least 18 cards going each way in a PWE.
  2. Trades involving up to 90 cards will be mailed in medium to large business envelopes without tracking.
  3. Larger trades will be sent in most economical way possible (obviously with tracking).

Focusing on These for Now (And the only ones which I'll consider in trades smaller than the 18 minimum from above):

  • BASEBALL
    1. 1975 & 1978 Topps
    2. 1989 & 1991 Donruss Grand Slammers (master sets)
    3. 2001 Upper Deck Decade 1970s (base and related inserts)
    4. Any Topps Heritage New Age Performers
    5. Any food issued sets
  • FOOTBALL
    1. 1966 Philadelphia

I'm all about the O-Pee-Chee (All Sports and Non Sports) + some Soccer and the occasional oddballs that catch my eye.

Love trading and will always try to find something to make it work. My trade lists goes up and down as I buy lots from garage sales/auctions/kijiji etc and then try to trade the pieces for more O-Pee-Chee goodness.

Please don't bother asking for things not on my trade list. If they're in my collection then they are in my collection for a reason.

Happy to sell if we don’t have matches and there is something you’d like
