Gunny's Baker's Dozen Giveaway Hoops Pack Aby BigDog13 - 13 cards (Last updated on Feb 6, 2021) |
1. 1992-93 Fleer #77 Chris Mullin
Great way to start the pack. Mullin had a fantastic career, playing for Golden State (Twice) and Indiana. Mullin is enshrined in the Naismith HOF twice (as an individual player and as part of the "Dream Team") and in the College HOF as well. Decent set for the early-90s. |
2. 2009-10 Upper Deck #155 Grant Hill
Nice set here. I like the silver logo and name. Hill experienced ankle issues that disallowed him from playing on the 2000 U.S. Olympic team and would hinder his career from then on. It did not, however, keep him out of the Naismith HOF. |
3. 2012 Topps U.S. Olympic Team & Hopefuls #46 Candace Parker
Really glad to see this card in the pack. Parker just signed with the Chicago Sky, my local WNBA team. It's cool to see her return to the area where she grew up. Nice card, I like the background. |
4. 1992-93 Stadium Club #103 Luc Longley
I'm a big fan of Stadium Club. I wish Topps was still making basketball cards. Great action shot of Longley going against Scottie Pippen. Longley would go on to win three championships with the Bulls after leaving Minnesota and represented Australia in the Olympics. |
5. 2002-03 UD SuperStars #199 Chris Webber
Cool multi-sport set. Webber was the first overall pick in the 1993 draft. After his playing career ended, he has served as a color commentator for NBA games, owned a restaurant in Sacramento, worked as a music producer, and appeared in the movie Uncle Drew. |
6. 2012-13 Panini Past & Present #18 Kevin Garnett
When he was drafted in 1995, Garnett became the first player in 20 years to be drafted out of high school. One of the true NBA greats. 21 seasons, NBA champion, HOF'er. Neat set. |
7. 2017-18 Hoops #27 Kevin Love
I've always liked Hoops, even the over-produced sets from the late-80's to early 90's. This set is no exception. |
9. 2007-08 Fleer Hot Prospects #35 Steve Nash
Decent card of the HOF'er Nash. He's now the Head Coach of the Brooklyn Nets. |
10. 1992-93 Upper Deck #121 Bimbo Coles
Nice set from the early-90s. I like the team name in silver and the bottom border, as well. Coles had a decent career (especially for a 2nd round pick). His career spanned 14 years and five different teams (Heat (twice), Warriors, Hawks, Cavs, and Celtics). |
