Goalies that Played for the Flyers in the 2018-19 Seasonby jfalvo316 - 8 cards (Last updated on May 15, 2020) |
The Philadelphia Flyers set an NHL record in the 2018-19 season for most goalies played by a team in a single season at 8, here they are. Out of the 8 only 3 remain, Carter (Starter, Cahtah) Hart, Brian (Moose) Elliott and Alex Lyon.
Lyon currently plays for the AHL Phantoms and was called up for 3 games this season when Hart was out with an injury. He proved to be a valuable prospect for a future backup to Hart, starting 2 games and filling in for Elliott after he was pulled in the beginning of the 3rd period in a home loss to New Jersey. Out of his 2 starts, he stopped 36 out of 40 shots on goal during an all-around ugly 4-1 home loss to Montreal and stopped 28 out of 31 shots during a 6-3 home victory against Colorado. The game he filled in for Elliott in the third was another all-around ugly game when the Flyers were shutout by the Devils in a 5-0 home loss.
