Last 9 Tiger cardsby mfeik - 9 cards (Last updated on Nov 26, 2021) |
1. 1952 Topps #354 Fred Hatfield
Just picked up this card (11-26-21) from my LCS (Johnny Ford). They had some Black Friday deals going so I decided to go out Friday morning for the first time in a very long time. I didn't expect to see this card, in fact, I think this is the first time I have even seen one. Thrilled to pick this up. Now, down to 2 left on the list. |
4. 1966 Topps #540 Denny McLain
Just came home from my LCS (Legends)with this card. I'm glad I got rained out from work and decided to go see Lou. |
5. 1967 Topps #571 Larry Sherry
I just picked this one up at a card show on 11/10/18. It's a psa 6, but will have to crack it open so it can go to it's new home in the album. |
6. 1967 Topps #607 Mickey Stanley
Finally was able pick up one of these cards. Found it a card show in Holland, MI (2/1/20). It’s not perfect, but it was a good deal, and I’ve been looking for a long time. My uncle introduced me to collecting cards and this was his favorite Tiger, he even named his dog Mickey. |
7. 1975 Topps #620 1975 Rookie Catchers-Outfielders (Gary Carter / Marc Hill / Danny Meyer / Leon Roberts)
Thanks to a trade that concluded on 10/31/18, with The Sandlot, this card is now off the list. Thanks again Joe. |
8. 2002 Topps Traded & Rookies #T56 Dmitri Young
Just received this card in a trade with sparkchaser41 (9/13/21). I’ve been looking for this card for quite awhile. A big thank you goes out to Bill for making this trade. |
9. 2003 Topps Traded & Rookies #T42 Steve Avery
I received a gift card from Amazon for Christmas and this is one of the cards I bought. It showed up today (4/26/19), another one bites the dust. |

Nice idea for a collection. And you're soooo close, with only a couple really expensive cards to go - Kaline and...Carter, really, because you've got a bit of a Jerry Koosman rookie card problem there. At some point, I might try this for the Cubs. Banks rookie would be the biggest problem.... Good luck and great list. v3 | ||
Great list. I can say the same thing as you. I started in the early 80's and kept collecting until I went away to college in the early 90's. Stopped until about 2011 when I started buying packs. I wish I had bought 2011 Update back then though! I have since tried to get all the Topps flagship base and SP and the Update/Traded sets too. I have a long way to go on the '52 set and I haven't started on the Bowman sets yet. I've joked with my wife that the last card I buy will be the Kaline rookie, but we both know that's not true. I just found a '55 Kaline for a great price this past Saturday at a card show in Holland around the corner from my house. Good luck! |
