1952-53.
This is the only card he ever got.
First to win the award, under NBA auspices, but the BAA also gave out Rookie of the Year awards. The NBA does not recognize them although it does recognize BAA stats as NBA stats.
He was a member of the Fort Wayne Pistons at the time.

1953-54
He has only two cards ever made.
He was a member of the Baltimore Bullets when he won the award. This is not the same team that was known as the Bullets until 1996-97, but a different team with the same name that folded.

1954-55.
Named one of the NBA's 50 Greatest Players in 1996. Retired as all-time leading scorer in NBA history.

1955-56
Paralyzed when he fell on his neck during a game, he was never able to move again. Jack Twyman, his teammate, became his caregiver for the rest of his life and an award is named in their mutual honor every year.

The only Rookie of the Year who is missing from my collection- this card is pretty high on my wantlist.

Named one of the NBA's 50 Greatest Players in 1996.
Won MVP the same season, one of only two players to accomplish this feat.
