BucCollector's Wantlist Top Tenby BucCollector - 17 cards (Last updated on Apr 19, 2022) |
1. 1948 Bowman #38 Buddy Jeannette
This HOF rookie is one of only two cards issued during Jeannette's playing career, and the other is a bread label. For my collection of basketball players from the Pittsburgh area. |
2. 1952 National Tea Labels #19 Danny Murtaugh
One of my PCs. Have never seen even a picture of this card. |
3. 1970-71 Dayton Daily News M137 #148 Manny Sanguillen
Another of my PCs. This one belongs to a friend, whose scan I borrowed. Only one I have seen. |
4. 1971-72 New York Nets #NNO Jim Ard / Rick Barry / Jeff Congdon / Sonny Dove / Joe Depre / Jarrett Durham / Manny Leaks / Bill Melchionni
Don't know what this is or what it looks like, but it's the only "card" of Jarrett Durham. |
5. 1973 Sherbrooke Pirates #NNO Tony Armas
Most of the Pirates of the 1970s didn't have minor league cards. Here's one. I have some of the cards from this set, but not Armas. |
6. 1974 Seattle Rainiers #NNO Rick Kuhn
After quitting baseball, Rick Kuhn played basketball at Boston College and was involved in the infamous point-shaving scandal there. |
7. 1978-79 Mexican Pacific League Stickers #154 Mike A. Easler
https://www.tcdb.com/Profile.cfm/daclyde has blogged about this set. Could there really be only one in existence? |
8. 2006 Topps McDonald's All-American Game - Autographs #G14 Jacki Gemelos
Inspirational player, never had a WNBA card. |
9. 2008 Salute to Columbus Eras #NNO Manny Sanguillen
For my Sanguillen PC. I have several other cards from this set, which was an insert in a Columbus Clippers program. |
10. 2008 Topps Gift Sets Los Angeles Dodgers #51 Mike Easler
Mike Easler deserves a list of his own. Who else has appeared in Venezuelan winter league sets; a Mexican winter league set; Japanese Pacific League sets; in minor league sets as a player, a coach, and a manager, and in major league sets as both a player and a manager?

Would be interested in a backstory of why you want these particular cards. Would they finish sets? Are they tough cards of players you collect?

I'm with switzr1. That's an unusual list. Must go look at your collection now. Curiosity piqued.

@switzr1 @Vvvergeer - Comments added, thanks!

Good comments, indeed. Thanks. Fun way to collect.

Very cool. Nice to know why people collect what they collect. Sounds like you have a lot of fun with the hobby!

One of my teachers in high school was Rick Kuhn's older brother. I remember that situation well. All came to be with a few high school buddies of Rick who were "Made" if you know what I mean. | ||
That Forbes Field card is beautiful... I'd love to get that for my ballparks collection.. |
