Larry Walker played for the Indianapolis Indians during the 1989 season as a part of the Montreal Expos organization. During that campaign he recorded a team leading 36 stolen bases, as well as hitting .270 with 12 home runs before he was promoted to the major leagues in mid-August.

He also posted an impressive slash of .283/.372/.398 during the 2008 campaign and was selected as an International League AAA All-Star. His 2009 slash with the Tribe was even more impressive at .304/.361/.493 before being promoted to the Pittsburgh Pirates in June of 2009.
