Finishing the "Set"--Topps 1990 Catchers

The base set for Topps 1990 Baseball included 65 players with "C" listed as the position (not including All-Star cards). While working on my for sale/trade list, I found that 40 of the 102 unique cards I owned already. Being 61% of the way already, I decided to complete the set of catchers.

After catching 111 games with a 28% caught stealing rate in 1989, Cleveland released Allanson at the end of 1990 Spring Training. Texas signed him after that, but he only played 13 games at AAA Oklahoma City before the Rangers cut him as well. Allanson moved on to the Salinas Spurs in the California League (A), catching 36 games, before finishing off 1990 with Guaymas of the Mexican Pacific Winter League.
