Front Placeholder

31. 2021 Choice Norfolk Tides Update #5 Felix Bautista

4/10 BAL: 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 BB, 0 ER, 2 K

Released before he reached stateside rookie ball and having spent a year out of baseball thereafter, Bautista was a Major success story for the Orioles both as a prospect and as a rookie in 2022. Over one span between late May and early July, FĂ©lix made twenty appearances in a row without conceding an earned run.

32. 2017 Choice Carolina League All-Stars #47 Tanner Banks

4/10 CHW: 2 IP, 0 H, 2 BB, 0 ER, 4 K (GF)

In seven April outings, Banks held opponents scoreless over 12.2 innings spread between seven outings while scattering three hits. He was at his best on April 20th vs Cleveland, hurling four spotless innings after starter Dallas Keuchel was removed in the second inning.

33. 2017 Bowman Platinum - Top Prospects #TP-LF Lucius Fox

4/10 WSH: 0-2, SH, R, RBI

Formerly a top prospect in the Giants and Rays systems, Fox landed in Washington in the offseason, then snatched an Opening Day spot with the club thanks to blazing speed and versatility. His RBI sacrifice bunt in the 8th ignited a rally that allowed WSH to secure their first win of the season by tying the game.

34. 2021 Choice Erie SeaWolves #22 Elvin Rodriguez

4/10 DET: 2.2 IP, 3 H, 2 BB, 4 ER, 2 K

35. 2021 Bowman Platinum - Top Prospects #TOP-48 Simon Muzziotti

4/11 PHI: defensive replacement

A whirlwind 2022 saw Muzziotti play at every stateside level of the Minors, the AFL, and offseason ball. He made Philadelphia's Opening Day roster after an injury to Mickey Moniak.

36. 2021 Topps Heritage Minor League - Real One Autographs #ROA-BE Bryce Elder

4/12 ATL: 5.2 IP, 6 H, 0 BB, 3 ER, 4 K (W)

Following Spencer Strider in 2021 (4th round), Elder is already the second of Atlanta's 2020 draft class of four to make the Majors. Like Strider, he shot through the Minors, dazzling across three levels.

37. 2019 Topps Pro Debut #163 Tommy Romero

4/12 TB: 1.2 IP, 2 H, 5 BB, 3 ER, 1 K

38. 2021 Choice Everett AquaSox #10 Matt Brash

4/12 SEA: 5.1 IP, 4 H, 1 BB, 2 ER, 6 K (L)

Brash, like his teammate Rodriguez, skipped AAA and jumped right from AA to the Majors. He actually appeared late in the season on Seattle's 40-man roster but did not get into a game.

39. 2021 Choice Wichita Wind Surge #24 Josh Winder

4/12 MIN: 1 IP, 0 H, 2 BB, 1 ER, 1 K

Winder went 5.1 innings in relief on April 16th, taking over for an injured Sunny Gray. He allowed just two runs to help keep Minnesota in the contest vs. Boston. He was big again his next time out, allowing just a single run in four relief innings to aid a 6-4 Twins victory. Winder's next two outings saw whim start and record 6 innings each time without an earned run - both of which earned him wins.

40. 2017 Choice New York-Penn League All-Stars #56 Adam Oller

4/12 OAK: 1.1 IP, 5 H, 3 BB, 5 ER, 3 K

I think Brian Moran made his major league debut against the Rangers tonight for the Angels. Like I know he played obviously, but I think it was his first major league game

Nah, Moran debuted for Miami in 2019. He's still rookie eligible, but he debuted then.

Felix Bautista has a card in the 2021 Norfolk Tides "Update" set.  Hasn't been added to TCDB yet.

I'll get that tomorrow. I use BBREF's debuts section, which updates some time the day after every slate of games.

I only have been commenting on the players who made the debut against or with Minnesota so anything else is up for grabs ;).
