Card Detective

Trying to identify the game pictured in the card. I plan to focus on Orioles cards. Hope to add maybe 1 a week.

3. 1992 Donruss #609 Carlos Quintana

Ok, not an Orioles card, but if you look at the card above you will realize these photos were taken about a second apart, by two different photographers. What a great sequence in this set!

Top of the first inning, converting a 5-4-3 double play. Kenny Lofton is sliding into second.

Doug Glanville only played against the Orioles twice as a Ranger. This is likely him beating the throw from SS Deivi Cruz on an infield single in the third inning. Looks like he is popping up from his slide into second.

This is interesting. I know the 2015 Topps Nathan Eovoldi (If thats how you spell his name.) card for the Marlins if you want to add marlins!

Doug Glanville played two games in Baltimore when he was on the Rangers in 2003. He had two hits in the 1st game (7/21). Reached second on a walk in that game after one hit. After the other, the inning ended on a strikeout. On 7/22, he reached second on a single to SS in the top of the 3rd inning.

Very cool idea. The 92 Donruss and the 92 Score are the same picture?

Thanks Ron. The 92 Donruss and 92 Score are taken a fraction of a second apart, either by the same photographer or two photographers standing very close together. You will notice in the Score card Juan Bell's right leg is less bent than in the Donruss card.
