1. 1991-92 Pro Set Platinum #226 Jeff Hackett


First Game: Oct 4, 1991

The 1st pick in the 1991 Expansion Draft, played in the first game in Sharks history. In two seasons with the team went 13-57-2 with a 4.51 GAA.


2. 1991-92 O-Pee-Chee Premier #15 Jarmo Myllys


First Game: Oct 5, 1991
Last Game: Mar 26, 1992
GP: 27

Selected with the 13th pick of the Dispersal Draft from the North Stars. Traded to Toronto for cash after the 1991-92 season, but elected to return to play in Finland.


3. 1992-93 Bowman #60 Brian Hayward


First Game: Oct 8, 1991
Last Game: Dec 29, 1992
GP: 25

Selected with the 2nd pick of the Dispersal Draft from the North Stars. Earned the first win in Sharks history. Struggled with injuries in his 2 seasons in San Jose going 3-18-1 before retiring in 1993.


4. 1992-93 Ultra #401 Arturs Irbe


First Game: Nov 8, 1991 (NHL Debut)
Last Game: Apr 12, 1996
GP: 183
Playoff GP: 20

The 1st Sharks goalie to make an All-Star team, finished 14th in MVP voting in 1993-94, and received Vezina votes in 2 seasons with San Jose.


5. 1995-96 Topps #249 Wade Flaherty


First Game: Apr 12, 1992 (NHL Debut)
Last Game: Apr 11, 1997
GP: 53
Playoff GP: 7

Earned his place in Sharks history in the 1995 Playoffs, starting in place of Irbe in games 6 & 7 versus the Flames leading the team back from a 3 games to 2 deficit, including a double overtime win in Game 7.


6. 1994-95 Parkhurst #214 Jimmy Waite


First Game: Oct 7, 1993
Last Game: Apr 8, 1994
GP: 15
Playoff GP: 2

Only played in 15 games in his lone season in San Jose as the backup to Irbe, who played in 74 games.


7. 1991-92 7th Inning Sketch WHL #101 Trevor Robins


First Game: Feb 15, 1995
Last Game: Mar 4, 1995 ???
GP: 0 (Dressed as backup)

Called up to backup Wade Flaherty with Arturs Irbe injured, then backed up Irbe with Flaherty injured later in the season. Never played in a regular season NHL game.


8. 1995-96 SP #131 Chris Terreri


First Game: Nov 16, 1995
Last Game: Jan 24, 1997
GP: 68

Traded to San Jose by the Devils in Nov. of 1995 with Irbe & Flaherty struggling, then became the main starter for the rest of the season. Traded to Chicago in Jan. of 1997 in the Ed Belfour deal.

Backed up Chris Terreri with Wade Flaherty injured. Also served as a backup for the North Stars for 3 games in 1992, but never played in a regular season NHL game.

First Game: Mar 15, 1996
Last Game: Apr 10, 1996
GP: 4

Called up from Kansas City with Terreri & Flahery both injured, and Irbe returning from knee surgery. Started 2 of 4 games going 0-2-1 with a tie against Boston and losing to the Flyers 8-2.

Awesome list. Thanks.  I really enjoyed it.  Especially the early entries.  Brought me back!  I totally forgot Eddie Belfour was a Shark.
