Baseball people in the background ... '60s & '70s

21. 1969 Topps #491 Twins Rookie Stars (Jerry Crider / Geo. Mitterwald)

This is a tricky one. George Mitterwald wore #34 in 1968. Can't be a pic from 1969 because the only #34 they had that year (Cotton Nash) didn't join the club until June. This could be 1966 when the Twins had two #34s, Ron Clark and Ted Uhlaender.

22. 1970 Topps #13 Jack Hiatt

Dick Groat (20) in 1967 at Shea Stadium.

23. 1970 Topps #52 Bruce Dal Canton

Dock Ellis (40) at Shea Stadium in 1968 or 1969.

24. 1970 Topps #86 Lum Harris

Orlando Cepeda (20) ... he switched to his more familiar #30 after the Braves sold Ken Johnson to the Yankees in June, 1969. I think this is Connie Mack Stadium

25. 1970 O-Pee-Chee #180 Tommy John

Coach Les Moss (35) at Yankee Stadium in 1969. Wikipedia is my source for coach/mgr. uniform numbers ... they don't list Moss with the 1969 White Sox, which must be a mistake as other sources have him on the team.

26. 1970 Topps #182 Dick Hall

Gene Brabender (32) and Russ Snyder (9) in 1966, probably at Yankee Stadium.

27. 1970 Topps #190 Joe Torre

Mike Torrez (48), probably spring training in 1969.

28. 1970 Topps #194 Chuck Manuel

I think that's Jim Kaat (36) in 1969 ... don't know if this is spring training or regular season.

29. 1970 Topps #273 Ralph Houk

Elston Howard (32) at Yankee Stadium, probably from 1969, but I can't see if Houk has the 100-year patch, so it could be from the early 60s when Ellie was still playing.

30. 1970 Topps #298 Ken Henderson

Frank Linzy (35) at Shea Stadium in 1969.

Cool Concept! I don't know haw modern you want to get in the future (since this says 60s & 70s), but here's a couple off the top of my head: (w/ John Cangelosi) (w/ Ellis Burks)

These are action shots, but there are a lot of cool cards featuring an out at 2nd, so that could also be a concept. Just a couple ideas that you could take or leave.

I'm adding about five cards at a time, which is enough work for me ... add in action cards from the '70s and I'll be doing this forever ... a separate list of action-only cards from the 60's and '70s would be more manageable in scope if anyone wants to take a crack at it ... here's a Pete Rose I discovered recently:
