Notable Cameos in My Collection

by Bowersbird - 36 cards (Last updated on Nov 23, 2021)

1. 2007 Upper Deck #443 Albert Pujols

I kept wondering why a lot of people seemed to have this random card in my collection on their wantlist. Then I realized that Justin Verlander is the pitcher. Then I also learned the Pudge Rodríguez is the catcher. So, yeah, some really good cameos.

2. 2002 Upper Deck Victory #191 Luis Rivas

Speaking of Pujols, here he is sliding into an out on someone else's card.

3. 1991 Upper Deck #139 Mike Scioscia

Barry Larkin seeing if Scioscia manages to throw out his teammate, presumably.

4. 1994 Ultra #474 Barry Larkin

This photo seems more like a football card than a baseball card. Still, if I was Larkin, not sure I would want to go tackling Barry Bonds on my card.

5. 1996 Collector's Choice #721 John Patterson

Now here's Tony Gwynn getting tackled.

6. 1990 Upper Deck #392 Fred Manrique

Fred McGriff just hanging out

7. 1987 Topps #731 Dave Concepcion

The #3 Expo is Herm Winningham. That name is too good to leave off this list.

8. 1993 Stadium Club - Members Only #157 Juan Bell

I'm pretty sure that's a Reds player sliding into an out is #10, which would make him Bip Roberts. No clue who the extra Philly is.

9. 1993 Ultra #137 Robby Thompson

Bill Doran is a Cincinnati native on the Reds, so that's enough to make my list.

10. 1990 Upper Deck #325 Benito Santiago

Billy Hatcher (Astros, #28) was on the 1990 Reds, so once again, that's good enough to make my list.
