Chicago Blackhawks Forum

Since we have 3 different TIDs for the [Mighty] Ducks name changes, I'm wondering if all the pre-1986-87 Blackhawks cards should be under their own TID for "Black Hawks", or should we just look the other way on this one?

(For those not familiar, Chicago's team was always known as the "Black Hawks" their first decades of existence, then in 1986, it was discovered the original contract spelled it "Blackhawks", so they started using that instead (and have been ever since), but some of the trading card companies didn't make the switch until later in the 80s.)

Seems more of an error correction than a name change.  Though the Sauk chief was Black Hawk not Blackhawk.

As someone who has 5000 Hawks cards my answer is a resounding NO!!!!
