Can someone please explain the difference between the base cards in this set and the color frames.

Example #1 Steve Carltons base card #74 has a (blue frame with silver highlights/letters) and is SN75.

Example #2 Steve Carltons blue framed card #74 has a (blue frame with silver highlights/letters) and is SN75.

What is the difference? They are the same card.

This set really needs to be worked on. "Depending on how you look at it, the 2014 Panini Hall of Fame 75th Anniversary Baseball checklist has either 100 cards or 300 cards. There are 100 players. Each has a regular card and a pair of variations. Chasing all will be a challenge as base cards are numbered to just 75 copies." With that said, we should change the base set to have an a, b, and c variation for each card. Base 1 or (A) would have the Green frame, Base 2 or (B) would have the Blue frame, and Base 3 or (C) would have the Red frame. Each parallel of the three colored frames are all SN the same (Black SN1, Blue SN25, Gold SN5, Green SN10, Red SN50). Each parallel should also have an a, b, and c variation as well. 

In your example the scan in #1 has the wrong image uploaded.

Thanks for the reply & link, I think we're on the same page. This set has 300 cards... one [base] (blue), one [base] (green) variation, and one [base] (red) variation. Each of the three colors has five color parallels per card/color. Here at TCDB we have 400 base cards listed, one [base], one blue, one green, and one red plus parallels. This is a very confusing set I would try to fix it, but i'm not sure how to go about it.
