Hello all, I wanted to ask about the Topps Tiffany sets being stand alone sets. They are currently listed as insert/parallel sets to the regular Topps sets. They were only sold as factory sets so I think they should be their own major release (or oddball), not insert sets. Should I send an inaccuracy report for each set, or was there a decision to list them this way? Thank you.

Every glossy, tiffany, micro, and member's only set is listed here as a parallel set. Only in the case where a set was packed out (as opposed to issued in factory set only) does a set get the standalone treatment (think 1975 Topps Mini).

My personal interpretation of where they currently reside does not make any implication that they are an insert set. Simply that they are a related paralell set.
How the 1975 Topps Mini set doesn't follow the same logic is one I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around. It is an identical checklist. If that's not a related set I don't know what is.

Simple - the 1975 Topps Mini set was issued in packs (no factory set). Therefore, it was it's own separate release. Think Topps Chrome or Opening Day - even if they expanded those sets to be 700 cards each, they would be separate releases. However, the Limited Edition set (only issued in factory set) is listed as a parallel.
Packs - standalone.
Factory sets - parallel.

That supports my argument that the Topps 1st Edition sets should be listed as standalone releases. Currently they are listed as parallels, but they were only available in their own packs.
That also supports my arguments that the Tobacco cards with different backs but same fronts should be listed separately, because they too could only be found in certain packs, never together.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Billy, you have me on your side on the Topps 1st Edition.
Since the tobacco cards were only 1 in each pack, I'm not on board on that one.
