2009 Upper Deck Baseball Forum

In the 2009 Upper Deck set (baseball) there is a 9 card insert set called Historic Predictors.

Surprisingly card #HP-4 is a topic in 2022.

Card #HP-7 came true.  

I'm hoping #HP-6 does also.

Hoping for HP-2 myself, although I don't see it happening any time soon if ever.

I'd love to see #2 happen again as well. Just don't think that will happen as prices just jumped again today. Gas prices were about double of that prediction just before the pandemic hit and have jumped as high as $3.30/gallon here since then. They've really been up and down for the past 6 months though.

Card #3 did happen too and the DOW actually went above 20,000 at one point.

Card #8 has basically come true as well. There is a vaccine and meds to keep people from getting AIDS and to lessen its effects dramatically for those that have it. Same thing for Hepatitus-C.

I'd like to see #'s 5 and 6 happen too.

I think there were some places where it happened but we need it now more than ever.

I have HP-2, HP-6, and HP-8 for trade if anyone is interested! lol

HP-2:  Up here, gas is more taxed than in the U.S. and unleaded is sold today at CAD 1.549 / L (about USD 4.56 / gal). It is not as bad as in Europe, but I am still willing to go back at 0.99/gal anytime.

HP-3: Dow jones at 15 000, today is more than twice (35 169).

HP-5: No report yet.

HP-6 has happened, but no one believes it. 

Thanks for posting about this insert set. I had never heard or seen it. I will now try to complete it. I love history cards as well as baseball and this is kind of a history card set. Very cool. Thanks again.
