2001-02 O-Pee-Chee Hockey Forum

This set contains a lot of inserts from the Topps collection the same year. Should they really be included in this O-Pee-Chee set? Lots of duplicates with the same images and checklists. I think it would be enough to have them in the Topps set. Or am I missing something? Is there any difference between the cards?

I've had this discussion with the Admin(s). Inserts are to be listed with the sets that they were issued with. In order to make it clearer, Topps inserts released with OPC sets are identified as "Topps ...". For info on which inserts were issued with which product, take a look at the checklists or packaging (wrappers). Do NOT rely on "what Beckett says". For a few years during the early 2000's, many inserts sets were released in both Topps and OPC without distinction. In fact, this has occurred in the past as well, (e.g., 1969-70 Stamps, 1970-71 Topps Stickers). They were issued in both Topps and Series 1 OPC (look at the wrapper). 

OK, Thanks for clearing that up. Would have been nice if we somehow could link in insert sets from other sets, but I guess such a feature would be a bit complicated. Keep up the good work!

I agree. I personally believe that there should only be one listing for each set and/or card. However, until there is a way to add/create links, this is the best way to go. Perhaps this is something that the Admin(s) could put on their "TO DO" list.
