1987 Leaf Baseball Forum

While sorting my cards, I found a George Brett 1987 Donruss Diamond Kings #15 with English and French.  I did a quick eBay search and found a few others similar, all Diamond Kings.  Can anyone shed some light on this set, how was it obtained, etc?

I will submit a IR once more information is known.  And can someone let me know how to attach a photo to a forum?  Thanks.

How does your card differ from this 1987 Leaf card?

Most definitely the Leaf version of Donruss cards. They were only different from Donruss cards by having French language on them. Almost the same thing as Topps vs. OPC except the the Topps cards usually had "Printed in Canada" on the back when they did not say O-Pee-Chee on the front. Score also did a similar thing a couple of years later with hockey cards that had a Canadian version.

Thanks.  Yup, that is the one.  I didn't even think of Leaf!  Problem solved.

It is the same with the last OPC baseball sets, they're basically Topps sets printed in Canada with additional French text.

Very easy to mix both brands, if you have the slightest moment of distraction.

I have found that apart from the OPC logo, and the French, the OPC cards look very much like their Topps Tiffany counterparts, at least as far as the early 90s goes
