2014 Topps Opening Day Baseball Forum

I started entering my cards for this set and noticed that the cards notes seem different than usual... base cards with variaitions are noted as VAR instead of no notation, and the variants are noted as SP, which i thought was normal.... was just wondering why the base cards were noted as such?

As I understand it, the base cards do not get the "VAR" tag in Note1 but should be listed as "BASE:" in Note2 field.
