1982 Topps Drake's Big Hitters Baseball Forum

I recently purchased a 1982 panel from this set that features #7 Gary Carter, #8 Jack Clark & #9 Cecil Cooper.

Were these cards originally released as panels or individual cards?  Do you think this panel I have was obtained from somone who cut it from a full production uncut sheet? 1986 Drake Panels exist on this website as a parallel set along with 1987 & 1988.  So I'm also wondering if there should be parallel sets for 1981-1985 Drake sets as well.  I don't know how each set was released so that's why I'm putting it out there. Any information obtained would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure 1982 was not panels. I believe 1986 was the first issue in panels.

I did too, it is definately 1982.  My panel is 1-32

1981-1985 the sets were produced by Topps as box sets. 1986-1988 the cards were printed on Drake's boxes by MSA.

I don't remember if there was a mail in offer or not, but availability of sets as uncut sets were common the first few years.

I'm looking at my uncut set I just got so somehow there is.
