The oldest cards in my collection are 6 different 1922 American Caramel (240 Series) cards. What are the oldest cards in your collection?

Card - 1951 Bowman (I have several)
Baseball collectible item - I have a Dick Hoblitzell Swet Caporal pin from circa 1910-12. It shows him with the Reds (played there from 1908-14). If you Google Image search Hoblizell pin, it's shown in several photos.

-- Dan -- Note: Please see my profile for more info regarding trading (section updated 10/25/2023). I have added a large portion of my inventory to the site, and currently have trading turned off (details are in my profile). I have (finally) unearthed my 2 very large boxes of Star Company minor league sets and they are available (email for details).

UPDATE: I now have a 1910 Champions T220.
Two 1911 T205 Gold Border. They're gorgeous pieces of art. Puts the modern stuff to shame.
I'd like to be able to obtain a 1894 Mayo Plug Cut, someday.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

1932 John Player Tobacco Card, Wild Birds Set, Card #48 Green Woodpecker.
At least that's the oldest I have entered into the database. I have other Player cards with missing checklists, and it's possible one of those is a year or two older. I need to get on entering those checklists. I love some of the cards, although the one I have giving instructions on how to clean out your gutters isn't the most exciting thing ever.
EDIT: this answer is no longer correct for me. I just beat this one by over 20 years, as my latest post will tell.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Yes. I have four T205 Gold Border cards. Tinker and Evers and Chance and Merkle. I love them. Beautiful and even with stats on the back. And the language is exquisite. Not sure why the T206s tend to rate higher. Not that I'd kick any of those out of bed. Not that I sleep with my baseball cards. I digress...
I'm trying to get one card from every decade that cards have existed. So I've got 1910s and 1950s to present. Lots of work to do, even if I only need about 6 cards. Oooh, how I'd love a card from the 1880s...
Fun topic.

I bet poor Merkle doesn't love the other three!

I have printed a copy of the poem that I've displayed in a photo holder. Merkle's on one side; the other three are on the other. So they can't fight. Although if preventing spats is the issue, I should probably separate the other three from each other as well, from what I understand their relationship to have been.

Good idea keeping them separate. You don't want a battle royale breaking out on your card shelf!
