Base vs. Retail Base (Gold)

I've got three cards:

I can't tell what the difference is between the sets. I'm leaning toward combining these into a sort of "Franken-set" if there really is no difference other than how they were distributed. Anyone know of the difference?

Base cards have a rainbow holofoil. The Retail Gold cards do not.

If I recall, the Hobby Base had a "refractor" type finish to them, like the Spectrum parallels, that the retail version did not. The Retail boxes had the Gold Logo and Lettering, and featured the different color parallels, Red, Blue, Black, but none of those cards had the "shiny" finish. Edited on: Sep 20, 2020 - 8:55PM
