Question regarding the name of this set.
Nowhere on the cards does it call the set "Greats" and from an IR that came in, the set isn't particularly "glossy".
So should we rename this set? Shuld we just call it "1977-84 Renata Galasso"? It seems like that might be a better name for it.

Who produced the set? TCMA or Galasso? Who released the set? The later, 1983 & 1984 cards don't have TCMA on them.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

That makes it a problem when it is a release of several years. TCMA was definitely part of it for the first years; the fact that they may not have been in the latter years still should not preclude them being in the name. If I get a card from the first series with TCMA on the back, I will search that first. The way it is presently named, I always needed several searches to find it, usually ending up through a player / # filter search.

I don't see the harm of keeping Greats as part of the name. Since that company did other sets, I like the distinguisher.
The glossy part can go.

Exactly, never seen any sort of gloss to these and always wondered where that may have originated, anyone else remember seeing an ad that was a full page 1, which had almost nothing but reprint sets being offered, my memory sucks but i think it may have been some place called New York Card Co.or something along those lines

My memory is a bit fuzzy, but if I remember correctly they were called the "Galasso Glossy Greats" when she advertised. It was a throw in set if you bought a complete set from the store.
Edited: They are also different sets depending on the year, but most people consider the whole run as one set.

We now have the ability to break these into sets for each year and still link them all together into "one" set - if that's how they truly were released. That's certainly another possibility.
