I have a question for the masses that I'm hoping somebody will be able to help me with. 2012 Topps has a number of errors in Series 1, where nearly all of the hitters stat lines on the back have "3B 3B" listed for batting statistics instead of "2B 3B" The site lists a corrected version of the Mantle card, which came from the factory set. My question is, are all of the cards in the factory set corrected, or did Topps only correct the Mantle? Anyone out there have an open factory set that they could check for me?

I looked at my FS, not all of them but a sampling, and they have 2B/3B. I looked at my traders which came from packs and they have 2B/3B.

Thanks! Can you check one more? I know the Braun card (card #1) came out of packs with 3B 3B on it, because that is what I have. I'm also noticing that the Mantle packed out version has W for Walks and the factory version has BB.
As I go through, it is not every card that had the 3B 3B issue. But they all do say W for walks, which I believe was changed to BB for every hitter for the factory set.
I spend way too much time on this stuff.

Braun is 2B/3B
I have both Mantle's. To match to yours, 1 is 3B/3B/W and the other is 2B/3B/BB

Thank you! Now I need to find a factory set. Looks like I have another project!

I bought a factory set back in 2014. I don't remember ever seeing 3B/3B or anything like that, but for some of them they have W instead of BB.
I just checked Mantle, and it isn't wrong with 2B, 3B, or walks, but it has SLG instead of SO and SP instead of SLG. Very odd.

I'm trying to build a second set of the 2012 cards, but the VARs:
W/S in stats header or 3B/W/SP in stats header
vs
BB/SV in stats header or 2B/BB/SLG in stats header
...which are in the Factory Set?
My factory set is still sealed, so I don't know which variation I already have. Is there any way to tell?

The factory set would have what is considered the “correct” version. So the doubles header would be 2B. Packed out versions would be 3B.
