2002-03 Pacific Hockey Forum

Pacific 2002-2003 Hockey - Edmonton the Big One and Vancouver the Big One are listed as Promo Sets with the full 400 cards and no numbered cards, so we do not know how many of these sets were produced.  Can anyone tell what is the distinction that places these cards into these Promo Sets. it is not appenet by looking at the 1 or 2 cards of 400 with images in these 2 sets.   I have plenty of 2002-2003 Pacific Hockey and if I knew what I was looking for, I might be able to add some more card images.

These sets are not ones that are permitted by Admin and will be removed.

Edit to clarify, now that I got the ball rolling on those 2 sets for removal:

These are simply embossed cards. What Pacific did was they would create a special embossed logo to emboss cards when you would open a pack of their product at their booth at one of these shows. Open a pack, emboss a card. Several times, we would get a card that was not contained in the pack embossed. They were okay with that. We also were able to get older product embossed at shows. It was not required that it be a specific product. Heck, it didn't even have to be a specific sport! (Baseball products could have embossed at these shows, just like baseball and hockey were being routinely embossed at the big shows in the USA.) Many times, *I* embossed the card myself, which if I felt like it, means I could have pulled a fast one, and embossed a Topps or Upper Deck card with the Pacific embossing.

Due to the random nature of what could be embossed, when Admin was contacted about these before, the response was they are not permitted to be added to the site. (I have several from many different shows, I'm not trying to stop them because I don't have any.)

Therefore, the wheels are in motion to remove the sets, and I request that you (or anyone else) do not attempt to add images to these sets. Thanks.

They're an aftermarket alteration.  Just like getting a card autographed.  Instead of getting a card autogrpahed, you get it embossed.

It was a very popular promotion by Pacific at the time.

Does anyone or Vroomed (probably knows) if these stamps differed from 1 show to the next?

The set that tpxcards links to is simply the embossing that could have been done to any card and that set needs to be removed.
