It seems there is info relating to the die cut set in the info for the regular set as shown on this page:
https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/5402/1997-98-Leaf---Fractal-Matrix
And on the checklist for the regular Fractal Matrix, it has the abbreviations for the die-cuts on each listing. For example, in the regular set, none of the cards are X, Y, or Z, only the die-cuts have this notation on them.

I'm really sorry, but I've read this 3 times now, and I'm completely missing what you're saying. Are you talking about the release notes?

Printed on the die cuts, above the rays around "Leaf" is printed, e.g., "Z-AXIS DIE-CUT". This is not printed on the non-die cuts. There is nothing on the cards to indicate X, Y, or Z, thus they shouldn't have the Notes. Since the PRs are known for each card, then "PRXXX" should be in the Note, instead of a coded Note.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I thought the notes were in reference to the different print runs since the cards don't have the PR notation directly on their Note1s

When a Print Run is known and documented, then "PR###" is put in Note, not an abbreviation that has to be crossed-referenced to a Print Run schedule.

Before removing any notes....
Notice the pattern around the photo.
Here is an "X":

Here is a "Y":

And here is a "Z":

Therefore, these are identifiable from this framing as to whether they are X, Y, or Z.

There's only one version of each card, there are no X, Y, Z variations to each card. Putting that in the Note adds nothing. It'd be like a set where each team has a different color border or foil, you don't put a color Note on every card.

I get it now, but it is just really confusing. I'm sure many others like myself had thought there were multiple parallels per each card. If I knew this wasn't the case, I wouldn't have bought so many boxes of the stuff years ago trying to get these parallels that didn't actually exist. The box/pack text infers it like that.

Whoever fixed the Fractal Matrix set should probably also fix the Die-Cut set as well since it follows the same way.

They actually have "...-AXIS..." printed on the front of the card. I don't see the value of the Note, but didn't want to change them yet. Maybe just put it in Note2 and have just the PR in Note.
