I just submitted an IR with a bunch more variations. I hadn't realized that I had any of these cards. Anyways, these are all FS/T as I'm not collecting the set. Any VARs that I have matching the current checklist have also been entered into my FS/T list.
This was perhaps one of the most annoying variations that I've seen. Is that a hockey stick? Maybe that's a scratch. Is that a hockey stick? Maybe those are my fingerprints. Are there hockey sticks there? Can't tell, there's a seam. Arrggghhh! Blinded myself with the reflected light again!! But now I know what a comic ball hologram looks like!
Also perhaps a slightly controversial suggestion, but I'm pretty convinced that the "1990 crossed hockey sticks" and "1990 text" variations are one and the same. I believe it comes down to the depth of the hologram. When the "90" is huge and bold, the hockey sticks are easily visible. As the "90" gets smaller and smaller, the hockey sticks get harder to see. I'll bet if I stared really hard at the cards that I've marked as "1990 text" and maybe at the right angle that I'd be able to see hockey sticks. Or maybe I'd just chuck them all across the room. I'll note the conditions on my traders if that ends up happening.
