I see that there different codes listed for cards as variations. No Code.. Code A, Code B etc.. So I take it that there is no way of determining which should be the base code. Card 1 Mike Piazza has No code and Code B and both are listed as variations, yet Card 2 Bernie Williams has Code E and is not listed as a variation.

I think soneome just added that as amplifying information, not to indicate a VAR. There is no VAR annotation or anything else. And mine is E* also. And no, there is no "base" codr. Nature of the set printing means no consistent one sheet code used through the entire set to use as  a "base".

Thanks for the reply.. I was going to go through my cards and try to sort them out by the codes, but I figured that to the average collector, that there is no real added value seeing it comes from the 90's era.

All cards from the A and B sheets can be found with their letter code or without it (blank in middle of copyright line).

The version showing the A or B is the rare version.

Only one card from E sheet is known to have a code variation (Glenallen Hill). Same for C (Jose Guzman) and D sheet players (Scott Service).

Other than the few exceptions, anything with C, D, E or F in Note2 has been cleared out.

Just confirming, Gold and Spanish don't have VARs and all are blank for A/B, correct?

As far as I know, there are no sheet code variations in the gold or spanish sets.
