The card number 164 of Neil O'Donnell shows on the front the Jets as his team but the back shows the Cincinnati Bengals. Because he played with the Bengals in 1998 shouldn't the checklist show the Bengals instead of the Jets.

From FAQ. Who he played for during the current year doesn't factor straightaway as the card represents previous seasons.
Cards of players in professional uniforms
-
- Use team in any "Traded to, Signed with, Now with, etc." statement printed on the card
- Use team printed on the front of the card
- Use team logo printed on the front of the card
- Use team name printed prominently on back of card (not in biographical write-up)
- Use team logo printed on back of card
- Use team uniform shown on front of card.
Edit: Though this does make an interesting case as the old team is predominate on one side and the new team on the back. Maybe #1 does override?

That's an odd one, as it says Jets on the front, but Bengals on the back.

Not really. The front name/team is foiled (not part of the front plate). A very easy change as opposed to changing all the back plates. Assume it saves money and time.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

That makes it even more odd as he was a Jet and moved to the Bengals.

Is all the 1998 Collectors Edge 1st Place cards of Neil O'Donnell going to be changed to Cincinnati Bengals instead of the New York Jets? I am trying to collect guys who have cards that played with the Bengals.

Bryan Cox has a similar situation (Bears on front, Jets on back, assigned to Jets)

The write-ups for Cox and O'Donnell are for the newer team on the back

In my opinion, if both the former and current team are equally prominent on the card, then the current team should get the nod. But I won't lose any sleep if it's not that way.

So we're going to ignore the team hierarchy guidelines?
