I'm a team collector, and I recently (almost) completed my Cleveland Browns team sets for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Carolina Panthers inaugural season factory sets. Basically, these cards are identical to the base set, but each card is stamped with a Jacksonville or Carolina inaugural season foil logo.
In organizing these cards into my PC, I noticed that 3 of the cards (in this case #255 Carl Banks, #311 Steve Everitt, and #397 Antonio Langham) have foil that is almost silver with a very slight gold tint rather than the normal gold foil. When I checked the images in the DB, this seems to be consistent for those cards (compare the images of #397 (https://www.tradingcarddb.com/ViewCard.cfm/sid/34025/cid/3471942/1995-Topps---Factory-Jaguars-397-Antonio-Langham) to the foil on card #340 (https://www.tradingcarddb.com/ViewCard.cfm/sid/34025/cid/3471885/1995-Topps---Factory-Jaguars-340-Eric-Turner) Those images seem to be a reasonable representation of the color differences I'm seeing on the card and not just a scanning artifact.
I'm assuming this is just some kind of printing issue and not indicative of some kind of parallel set with alternate foil, especially since the same 3 cards have the different foil in both the Panthers and the Jaguars sets. Does anyone know for sure?
