Were these distributed in packs or were these backdoored?

I haven't seen any mention of them being in packs, plus there should be 36 plates since you should have one per color. The one we have scans for reminds me of the ones you see on eBay where sellers post a whole bunch but they're all the same color and have nothing on the back indicating what they are. Plus I believe one or two better informed members here are really good at noticing when plates are being faked because certain elements that shouldn't appear on the plates (e.g. text and stamps that are actually foil) do. Long story short, I'm leaning fake or backdoored, but I don't have enough evidence to say one way or another.

I'm not highly confident on this one, but I suspect 'neither' as well.

The posted scan looks like it is supposed to be the cyan plate, which typically would not show the black card number and copyright line.  Not that they couldn't be there, they just normally wouldn't.

Either way, the Note2 is wrong.  The 'plate' obviously shows the back side of the card.

FWIW, Beckett makes no mention of them. Seeing it was 1992 it would have been a big deal, like the first official release of printing plates. As such you'd think they'd have them listed. 

Basically just one seller has them on ebay.  At best he got a hold of (backdoored) a couple of full printing plate sheets and cut them up. But more likely they're fakes.

Extremely not authentic. Set should not be listed here as it may inadvertently add a sense of legitimacy
