I have this 2002 Trevor Hoffman Upper Deck card with the Papa John's Logo on it celebrating Trevor's 300th career save. It has the Upper Deck logo on it and it says it's card 2 of 3. I got this card a very long time ago, maybe even on 2002. An extensive Google Search yielded no information about this set, and I'm missing the other 2 cards from the set.
Neither set nor card are listed in the database for me to add to my collection. It looks like an official licenced card, even if it's only promotional. Does this belong in the database?
Thanks.

Been roaming through this darkness I'm alive, but I'm alone And part of me is fighting this But part of me is gone
I sent an email to Papa John's. They responded that I would have to contact a local franchise to find any information as it would have been a regional give-away. I had already told them that in my email. Because I am not in the San Diego area, I am at a dead end. Now if someone wishes to pay me an all expenses paid trip to San Diego (after the pandemic), I will reopen the case.

So I'm back to square one, I'll probably Email someone at the San Diego Padres office to try my luck. Maybe another user comes by with more cards and info from this set.

Sorry, that doesn't say anything about the cards. But maybe related to the contest.

I always saw him that way too even though I never met him. We did not hear much from him though that may be a small market syndrome. But I also think he was not given the credit he deserved for his saves numbers because Rivera was in the New York media limelight. I started collecting his cards early on in his career as a closer.

I'd start looking at 2002 promotional giveaways. Upper Deck did a lot of stadium give-away (SGA) sets in the 00's for various teams. Sometimes they would be a multi-card set given out at games, other times they were spread out over multiple days/weeks with one card given out each time.
I couldn't find the Padres promotional schedule with a quick Google search. But you there should be newspaper archives or pocket scheduled that should have that info. Unfortunately I know some of the Pirates SGA cards were unscheduled promos that were announced mid season or not announced at all, so even then you might not find an answer.
Hopefully there's a hardcore Padres collector out there who can help.
