Until using this site I never really used the scanner so I never thought about cleaning the glass. The ink was giving me problems, that was the main reason I bought a new one.

I agree with the what appears to be the consensus on this card, that it is most likely not legit. However, my reasoning is slightly different. I have looked at several authenticated copies of this card and there are some differences. For starters, the majority of authenticated copies (but not all) have a printing flaw on them which has a white line appear under his left arm. The comment about pixelation is correct, just in the opposite direction. The card should actually be more pixelated. This is an older card, they had much worse technology than we do today, there should definitely not be any "smooth" colors on it. But the biggest red flag to me is the colors. The blue, green and yellows on your card have all faded, but the orange is actually darker than what it originally was. If it was legit, all of the colors should have faded close to the same amount, or not at all, depending on where it was stored. There is no situation I can think of where 3/4 of the card would fade at a much different rate, especially when the other 1/4 is actually darker, not just less faded.

You all missed the most obvious, in your face, screaming "THIS IS COUNTERFEIT"...the back should be printed in BLUE not green. The counterfeiter was probably confused with the National Chicle baseball Diamond Stars cards which used green printing.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Another question on this would be how do I make it so everyone can see my comments on the card?

Why would you list a counterfeit card in your Collection?

Because it is their collection and we live in a free world? (Well most of us lucky people do anyway)

To me it is part of my collection. But I do want to make certain people knew it is counterfeit if they are looking in anyway at it. I note it here, in my excel checklist, and with a scrap of paper inside the penny sleeve as "Most Likely Counterfeit" . After that I will treat it like a reprint, that will not be sold\traded in my lifetime.

There is a reprint listed for this player, so that may be an option

It's not "most likely", it's absolutely a counterfeit.

You can list it under 1985 1935 National Chicle Reprint. It appears to me the Reprint 1985 has been removed from the bottom of the card. If you want you can put a price on it and list it as very poor contition.
