2022 Topps Archives Baseball Forum

Hey all, I just bought a box of 2022 Archives and pulled a red hot foil parallel of #247 Jarred Kelenic.  However, this is the SP variation that has the the Future Stars logo.  This is not listed.  Checking on Ebay, it appears that are red hot foil parallels of all SPs (not SSPs) from the base set.  Can someone help add these?  Thanks!

You currently have 22 points, 9978 shy of attaining Level 8 permissions which would allow you to enter the cards yourself. I have been busy with several other things (both on and offline) and haven't been working on these requests recently.That is how the requests are handled, by members who volunteer their time and effort. Please be patient with them.

I am happy to be patient and will continue doing so. I’ve bumped this thread twice in the 25 days since the IR was made. In my experience, bumping threads is normal. Let me know if bumping is not allowed or if I should wait longer to bump in the future. I haven’t seen rules on how long a thread must be open to be bumped and since you are clearly knowledgeable on how the site works, maybe you can point them out. Thanks.

I just checked the queue foer the inaccuracy requests (IRs)- almost 400 requests in the queue. Unless you get an email stating it was closed and nothing happened, then it's there, and will get worked on when someone can do it. Did you provide all the info needed in the request so that whoever works on it has everything they need without them having to research it? If not, that could be the delay.

I looked specifically for yours. Your IR is:
"There are Red Hot Foil versions of the base set SPs (unsure about SSPs). Can we have these added?"

So the IR is unsure about what should be added and you're asking a question in it. The IRs are not a Q&A section. You should enter IRs only when you know what the inaccuracy is in the database. Those who volunteer their time to make edits are not a research team.

Please figure out what exactly should be added, update your IR, and then someone will have a much easier time helping you. Vague IRs like this usually get left alone because there are others that are clearer and easier to work on.

The IR is not unsure about what needs to be added.  The IR specifically states that the SPs (which are listed in the main checklist) have Red Hot Foil versions.  This is as specific as can be.  I can retype each card, but that is merely redundant. 

I do see someone outlined each SP subset in a subsequent comment to the IR.  Should I take the next step and list each and every card that needs a parallel in the IR?  I would think we would want to be succinct but maybe I am wrong.

I anticipated that somebody may ask if the SSPs have similar parallels.  Unfortunately, that is not possible for me to definitively answer without a statement from the manufacturer, regardless of how much research is done.  Perhaps I should have said nothing on the matter, as it seems to have only sowed confusion.

Regarding asking a question, the only question is the request that these cards be added.  I would think this is fairly common in IRs but will use statement language in the future.

I do not believe this IR is vague but actually straightforward.  I will try to be more robust and expository in the future.

Sorry, but have to agree with Dan. You don't want to leave any doubt in the IR resolvers minds.

Can we have these added?"  "There are versions" doesn't specifically state EVERY base set SP has a Red Hot Foil version (parallel). And any IR resolver has learned not to make any assumptions.  Some will do the research themselves; others will ask the OP for more information/clarification; and others will just ignore the IR and move on to the next.
