2021 Panini Prizm Football Forum

I see that the release date for 2021 Panini Prizm Football is the first week of next month. Wouldn't that make it 2022 Prizm?

You would think... we still have 2021 Prizm, Donruss Optic, Obsidian, Flawless, Select, and National Treasures... Panini must keep the money presses printing...

Its because the supply chain issue. I mean we just got 2021 topps big league. As the world opens us and printing presses get back to normal we should see things releasing mid season again. Also one thing that people noticed was a lot of panini products had the kid reporter cards that were expired because they couldn't get them printed fast enough

Anyone else think it's ridiculous that there are over 40 different colors/variations in this set? Makes it really tough when you try to collect 1 player or a team and there are so many cards to have to pull. 

The cards seen to be cheaper and uglier than previous yesrs.

Yeah, the parallel madness in Prizm is bonkers. Mosaic too. I hate those sets because it is just too much to keep track off. My only player PC in football is Chase Young, so I typically grab the base + silver and maybe one or two of the parallels I like (or whatever I can find relatively cheap). I don't collect basketball much so otherwise I don't worry much about Panini.

I think the 2022 sets for football won't release until closer to the season (or even after the season starts). Score used to launch in May with all the just drafted players in their college unis - I haven't even seen the Score set for 2022 announced yet.
