Are there color variations in this set? The Clemens I have has a green border on front and back. The TCDB pic is blue. Or is this a scanning issue?

BTW, I'm referring to the Clemens Heritage card I have. COMC comps all have blue borders. EBay comps have blue or green borders.

The Clemens on here looks green to me, but if it's more blue-ish, I would chalk that up to scanner differences.

Yeah? Looks very blue to me on TCDB. Unlike the following McGwire card which looks very green.

Flipping through the scan on TCDB there certainly are many different shades on the boarders. There’s blue-green, green, mint green. I would imagine from different stages in the printing run where the pigments lighten and darken. Also probably intentional as it appears they were going for vintage looks on these cards. If you look through old vintage photos they all fade differently based on exposure to light.

I bought a lot of Studio that year, and only remember one color.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster. |
